The platform is now at the point (and I now have the spare time) where I will be looking to upgrade my community. I have played locally for a while with various installs as far as making applications, plugins etc. Now I will be looking to create a test install on the web server and go through the upgrade process using duplicated data. I am fine with replicating the database etc but my query relates to the actual website data. So are the 'downloads', 'uploads' and 'screenshots' folders actually needed anywhere in the upgrade process. Duplicating over 800GB of data for a simple test install is rather allot of hassle, especially if I have to do it multiple times. …

Hi, is there a way to change the output of the search engine friendly urls? Currently I have a menu item called Activity and a sub menu called All Activity. the url for this is: www.domain.com/discover why doesn't this display as: www.domain.com/activity/all-activity another example is Activity > Forum Activity which displays as www.domain.com/discover/6 how can i get it to display www.domain.com/activity/forum-activity please help thanks

I just upgraded my forum, and there's quite a number of members having an issue where the editor won't open up for them... In must cases <control> F5 seems to resolve the issue, but some it doesn't seem to work. Has anyone else been seeing anything like this, is there anything I can do on the forum / server end to fix this?

Due to severe server overloads (recent upgrade) - I have turned IP.Pages off, however it displays a message I wrote when I first started using the system. http://prideofnottingham.co.uk/ How do I change it? It seems daft but I'm probably overlooking things.

On my 3.4.8 site, all of my Content articles use the url form of http//www.Sitename.com/_/<Category Name>/<Article Title> On my 4.1 test site, the url is http//4dot.Sitename.com/articles/<Category Name>/<Article Title> I have tried to do a mod_rewrite to catch income links that use the underscore and redirect it to the new URL, but it doesn't seem to be working. The line I'm using is: RewriteRule ^_/$ /articles/? [L,R=301] but it doesn't appear to be working. Pages is my default app

Hi there, some of you will know that you can upload images into your gallery description by using the editor. In my community it often happens that somebody upload all pictures into the description not into the gallery. (I think it's because the uploader thinks "Oh, hell yeah, here I can upload stuff. This should be the right place for my pictures ... because I'm in the gallery-section) Is there a way to disable file-uploads within the description of the gallery? Thanks!

Im looking to add this app and i pay for ipboard hosting so i dont know if they will do it for me or what, But i wanna get this set up so me and my coders/clanmates can upload replays, code for our mods etc without having to use media fire,imageshack etc be nice to have a 1 stop place for everything. I would love some help on setting this up, I created the app in my dropbox, and have dropbox installed and all set up i just need help with the HTML part of it now. can someone one help a novice out lol im good with directions thanks

Hello guys just checking, does anyone have any clue as to why my main Admin account's post count isn't stable. It randomly increases sometimes from 400 to 800 or 1600 then I have to manually recount it. The next day it goes to another random number yet again. Thanks so much in advanced. Its weird to me lol

Need to add mods to specific forums and apps. For example in 3.4 there is "Category and Forum Overview" "Add (name) or group" "Add moderator to checked forum(s)" And the 3.4 group setting has "Group Settings, Global, Report Center, Forum, Blog, Gallery" tabs. Where is this in 4.1? Everything says "content." Can edit all content etc. What about specific forums, blogs, etc? It's not in the new Guides section for adding moderators either.

Can this be done "on the fly" so to speak or does one need to create a new moderator group with the appropriate settings? Thanks. Edit: Resolved, When adding Moderator you can choose group or a single person so very nice. Question 2: Can the moderator list of a specific forum be published/made visible easily so members can see who to contact for that forum?
