Any time the searches pick up I get a CPU spike that has all 8 CPUs at 100% Any way to make this more efficient? Any tricks? Maybe a way to limit Elasticsearch resources to only 2 cpu's?

Trying to move my website to a new host and server and when I go to import my database I get the following error. What do I do to correct this? The only thing in that database is a page I created judging by the contents and it is not of high importance or value so I can delete it is need be. Do I drop the table entirely or just the contents?

I'm thinking about change my hostmaster, I choose one of fastest in my location but dont know how to deal with PHP interpreters limits for IPS 4.x. For choosen plan I got 70 system processes with 80% php interpeters limit of 70 available system processes (so it will be about more than 50 php interpreters). I run once my site on a host that all requests fill more than 30 limit. Right now I try to find a host for my site that allows me to run my site with those limits without any issues. Does anyone of you know what the limit of php interpreters will be optimal for IPS 4.x. My new hostmaster info : I will be grateful for any help and guidancee 🙂

Hi guys, I'm curious why one of the forums on my website takes much longer to open it than the others? Here it is -- http://forum.astrakhan.ru/forum/2-internet-интеллигенция/ Basically, it usually opens in 3 to 10 seconds while other forums take 1 to 3 seconds. Does anyone have an idea of why it happens? Thanks in advance!

Server crash with file scrambling, had to revert to a backup. Each of my recent backups, upon restoration, had minor issues. One lost many gallery albums. Another causes the Admin to load without a theme. I went with the latter. Is there a file check or system verification I can run to ensure I have all necessary system files? I had already upgraded to 4.3.6 and so cannot run an upgrade. I'm hesistant to reinstall for fear it will erase data or settings or plugins.

Some time ago I was having performance issues with my site - one of the many suggestions I got was to use File System instead of MySQL for data storage. Can this be changed on a live site? THe option is there in the Advanced Settings of my admin panel. I might assume that if it is there I can but I want to be sure before I click the option.

Hi there, Since migrating to a new server I've been getting a whole bunch of these warnings very often and need to do something about it. Instead of ignoring the warnings in CSF I thought I'd try to optimise my website and see if that helps as I thought the memory usage was very high. I'm currently using Litespeed (latest version) and using Memcached for caching with MySQL Database for storage method. My VPS is running with 12GB of RAM so not about to run out any time soon but using 452MB of RAM to load a website seems quite huge. This is my warning email: Time: Sat Dec 29 21:20:17 2018 +0000 Account: ####### Resource: Virtual Memory Si…

Hi, My hosting company is installing Litespeed with LScache. My question is how do I set up my end site wise. I see an outdated document on Litespeed's website: https://www.litespeedtech.com/support/wiki/doku.php/litespeed_wiki:cache:no-plugin-ip-board Here's what was required for IPB 3x. Could someone help direct me to the right file in IPS 4.3x and instruct on the changes necessary? Modify IP Board code File admin/sources/classes/output/formats/html/htmlOutput.php needs to be modified to send out a ‘cache-control: private’ response header to logged-in users. Essentially, the response header is a flag that notifies LSWS what kind of cache to s…

I try varnish in one of my server and I was really impressed, excellent performances on wordpress and on some laravel applications. So, even without indications from IPS, I decided to try it: I've installed a test forum on BBCODE.it if anyone is interested in testing IP.BOARD + Varnish let me know.

I'm not a server/hardware guy, so learning as I go. I've been with two different hosts, and as my site has grown have had to upgrade plans. What is the best way to determine your site's actual needs and to ensure you are in the "right" plan that effectively supports your sites needs now and in the near future (can't be indefinite as hopefully your site grows and you'll need to re-assess and likely upgrade to support it). This is a balance between budgeting for a reasonable server spec versus throwing away money with some kind of overkill server spec versus being totally underpowered and the site performance sucking (or being temporarily good, but outgrowing your pl…

We have upgraded large board two weeks ago and there are a lot of rebuilding tasks running. We estimate they will run for a month. However we encounter a disk quota issue and would like to move uploads to CDN. Can we do it right now while content rebuilding? Did somebody tried it? Or must we wait till content is rebuilt?

Having issues with some of the forums and am looking for help, please. Which areas should I focus on first? It appears that Enabling gzip compression and serving scaled images are two hot spots that need to be solved first that would gain the most benefit - I am correct? Are there any specific areas below that can be address via the forum control panel? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I said I would post this a few days ago, I guess having a dedicated discussion topic on Google Pagespeed configurations could be interesting. I am running Nginx, so I am using the ngx_pagespeed module. However, other than the configuration syntax, the Apache and Nginx versions are pretty much the same. This is the configuration I have for IP.Board, # Pagespeed configuration pagespeed On; pagespeed FileCachePath "/run/shm/ngx_pagespeed/"; pagespeed FileCacheSizeKb 1048576; pagespeed FileCacheCleanIntervalMs 3600000; pagespeed CreateSharedMemoryMetadataCache "/run/shm/ngx_pagespeed/" 65536; pagespeed RewriteLevel PassThrough; pagespeed …
