CHMOD guide?

Is there a CHMOD guide anywhere? I see this

But it doesn't say the permission per folder.

A client moved to a new server and he got a ton of log errors:

You might want to mention this to @Daniel F and ticket #1035337

I had the exact same issue with file.php after upgrading to 4.4.3, might be relevant, might not.
