I think would be good when we could switch language in ACP too but without effect on language which is set up on board. Why? Here is an example: I use Slovak and English language on my board. I have two another admins, they speak english poor, so for them is better when ACP will be translated to slovak. But not for me. I want to have ACP in english, but on board I use slovak. I think it shouldn't be big problem for this small feature.

I feel that the reputation system invision power is currently using is not very advanced. I suggests a "reputation power" (like the one in vBulletin) whereby the person can choose how much reputation the person wants to give. For example, the person have 5 reputation power, that particular person can rep another person with up to 5 reputation. Increases reputation power by X for every Y reputation you received. & also Increase reputation power by X for every Y posts you posted. It will also allow the person to provide comments. And also, choose whichever permission group to be able to impose negative reputation. For example, Users can only give positive reputa…

In order versions of IPB it was possible to have several tabs of the ACP open in newer versions for security I imagine this was changed so you can only have one ACP tab open at a time. This is very frustrating to me for example I work a lot with IP.Content and I need to jump to a template bit to see how IPB references a skin variable I need and to do so I have to save my IP.Content file, go to the Skin Editor, find where the skin variable is, go back to my IP.Content and repeat across all of the features. I think it'd be helpful if when your board is in IN DEV if you re-enable the ability to have multiple ACP tabs open.

I am going to be brutally honest here.... IPB has failed me and my customers as of late with many issues and bugs, both here on this site (client area) as well as the new gallery. I can fully understand a few bugs, but missing KEY features and functions should NEVER happen. I am very upset from what I'm seeing in the last few months and I would like to suggest a resolution to this issue. Create a small group of customers to actually Beta Test your products AFTER you think they are ready for release. So, I went to log into this today (sent https://www.invisionpower.com/clients/index.php) In all browers, the design/lay out leaves much to be desired... IMO :). I'd like to suggest that in these forums when a thread is resolved, it simply be marked as resolved, why close it? As a new customer, again and again I have tried to do a search on a question I have. Often I will find a thread that addresses the exact issue I have but perhaps I am left still needing to clarify some some small piece of info. Being able to post in that thread would be invaluable, because I could quote the post that I need further clarification on and say "I understand what was said above, but I'm still having a small issue here" or whatever. After using IPB for over a year, I finally found a setting to improve the results for "View new content". I changed this to display all unread content, which is much better. I could never tell what logic was used for the other method, or how many posts I missed because of it. I think viewing unread content should be the default, or there should at least be a way to set this as the default for all new members.

I have a few ideas on improving account handling, registration, and Facebook/Twitter connect logins in IP.Board 3.2. If you could make these changes it would be really really really really useful, and would save hours of modding to fix things that shouldn't really need fixing. It all seems very obvious to me... Hello I've been into moderating a forum which uses IPB.There many users who post duplicate threads/posts again and again.Its quite tedious to find those threads and then delete them.And google doesn't like duplicate meta tags which are created because of such threads. I am a little uncomfortable with the way client area is showing my server information... The passwords should be covered with ********* .. Possible hacking or a password highjack, the person will get all she/he wants from system... The password field should not be visible to front end person except backend... So, I know it's early in the 3.2 Dev Cycle at this stage, but one of my biggest issues with IP Board is it's fairly poor mail logging system. Currently either in PHP mail or SMTP the error data in the Email Error Logs really tell you nothing. I'm currently using a Custom Class Email that was provided to me by IPS which does provide a lot of useful information (even knowing it can create some rather bloaty logs) but it would be a nice to have something slightly more verbose in terms of logging (even if it's recording the SMTP Error code like Mailbox Not found in reply to RCPT To) Something like this would be a nice to have (The body of the message wouldn't re…

It's probably more apparent on this site since there are several forums with the exact same name ( IP.Board / IP.Gallery etc) but are within different Categories. A lot of times posts end up in the wrong section (feature requests end up in the support section & vice versa ) I would say many times this may because when looking at the VNC or other search results the parent forum is not Apparent. when clicking on the Forum link. It would be nice that in the ACP for forum setup that each forum can have it's unique tool tip attribute so when you hover over any link where that forum appears it will show you the path to the target forum. There are several areas in IP.Board that uses a text area as opposed to a rich text editor. Many of these areas have a limited length. Unfortunately all IP.Board does in these areas is truncate the text and add a "..." to the end. It doesn't warn the user when they typed in too much text. HTML5 supports the maxlength attribute for the text area tag. I'm not sure how this works when using an XHTML doctype, but many of the modern browsers do support this. It would be nice if these text areas implemented this attribute, or restricted the length using Javascript. Alternatively a warning when posting would also be useful. Hi Sorry for my English I see it very important to make a changable "default setting" to adding friends to profiles, commenting in profiles and "last visitors" box... The curreent default option is that everyone who clicks "add as friend" adding the user as a friend to his profile, but maybe people don't want it... Also in profile comments... For your attention.

I own 3 IPB licenses and a license to every other addon. I recently made the switch to XenForo as I felt IPB simply has too much slowing it down compared to the forum software I switched over to. I was wondering what, if any design aspects would be implemented in IPB 3.2 that would bring a customer back to using IPB versus a new competitor.

I'd really love to see some automated method to handle email bounce backs. It's a problem which everyone comes across, and the larger a community becomes the bigger the problem. While we can manually update every single user when their email address becomes invalid, sorting through every Delivery Failed message can eventually become a timely process. I believe having a standard, automated method would encourage usage, and go a small way to helping reduce the amount of wasted mail traffic out there. As it is now it's not possible to assign bbcodes to moderator/admin groups only. To be able to use them for moderation you also have to give the member group access to using them... I suggest that the bbcode assignment is based on the group that is allowed to use the code, not the "owner" of the post.

Hello - just wanted to know if you can make it easier for us to know the expiry date of our licenses. I KNOW the expiry date in on the invoice itself - but - to get to it I have to ... fire-up my browser, navigate to IPS, login at the client area, click on Invoices, then find the invoice, and click on it .... PLEASE can you add the license expiry date to the emails - that way I know how long I've got before renewal without going through all of the above ... :thumbsup: Oh, and whilst we're at it ... can you please show the expiry date on the license short-list in the Client Area - rather than us having to click each individual invoice to find out. I really hope you work on the control panel i.e. settings etc. First of all, there is lots of unused space in nearly every section of the control panel tabs. In fact half the screen space is not even used. Second, I would like you to reorganise all of the settings as, currently I find it slightly confusing. Stuff like change display name, password etc could all go under the profile tab. I'm not saying thats what you should do but its where I would assume to go to do all them things. Please change it to your own liking but I would hope that it is a little better in 3.2 than it currently is.
