I have a bit of an issue with using Commerce for free products. Great application, and almost perfect for my cause! However, the issue is when I create a product for $0 (this is my demo download), the sign up form contains required billing info that you can see I highlighted in red. I feel that this can potentially scare off sign ups which would lead to a demo download. My suggestion is to remove the required Billing Information from products that cost $0. There is no need for billing information if these products are free. I am wondering if anything can be done about this? Thanks!

Most people are tending to post a message on another members' wall instead of using the private message system. I can see how this is confusing because when you click on a members profile, there is a big message that says "Leave a message on ______ users's feed". People are getting confused because they don't know the difference between posting on their wall feed versus sending a private message. My suggestion is to remove the big prompt about leaving a message on their feed and simply add another button (next to the send private message) for posting to the wall feed. Or, at least rename the description to something like: "Post a message on _…

When a product has custom fields that are used to vary the price the the Commerce landing page show the price as being 'From £XX.XX'. However for some of our products this is a bit misleading; for example we sell event tickets where the main price might be £20.00 but children under 5 can attend for free. In these instances I would like the Commerce Dashboard to feature the base price of £20.00 and not the discounted price which is just for the under 5's. Can you give us the option to feature either the 'base' or the 'lowest 'price please. Also the a product is free the featured price shows as £0.00; I think this looks a bit odd so can you just display it as 'FREE'…

When creating Commerce Custom Fields can you give us the option for setting the ACP title (Field Name) to be different from the front-end title please. For example when setting clothing sizes I want the front end title to always say 'Sizes' irrespective of the product and options, but I the ACP I want to be able to differentiate by calling them 't-shirt sizes', 'trouser sizes', 'shoe sizes' etc. Thanks

We transfer all storage files to s3 with cdn. So it's very good for separate our app nodes with IPS from user files. One of type of storage files is "Theme Resources". All worked well, but inside their css we have link to fonts (woff, ttf), which not transfer to storage. Can you set fonts as part of themes? It's logical and clear. In our situation we have nginx conf, which transfer all request only to index.php in / and /admin folders. All static and user uploads transfer from cdn. All worked well apart this font files.

Small feature request... I need a much better international telephone input form helper in IPS4 Core. The current Tel form helper isn't much help for users. Small feature request... In the General Configuration page in the ACP Settings section, there is the ability to specify a physical address that is used in various places in the suite (specifically, the Privacy Policy page and email notifications footer). When the physical address is shown to the user, it is usually prefixed by the Site Name (in the same General Configuration page). My feature request is to add an optional setting for the company name (immediately above the Physical Address setting) that will be used if specified. Otherwise, the prefix would continue to be the Site Name. Small change, but in my case, the Site Name looks odd as the prefix and…

Introduction I love the Acronym Expansion tool. We use it in our community more than an acronym identifier we use it as a definition library for readers to hover over a word, and see the definition of the word. For example, if you go to this page at http://thepatriotwoodworker.com/topic/19550-curly-maple-shaker-rocker/ In the first sentence of the originating topic you'll see the word "Curly Maple". Hover over that word and you'll see a definition. We are using Acronym Expansion as a dictionary as well. We love it. While using the "Allowed File Extensions" I noticed that it is somewhat involved, depending on how many files you are working with, it can be to list the files that are allowed to be used within a community. Here is what I mean, say I want to allow all files of type in our community, except for two, or three. Well, I have to add all those files that we allow to be uploaded into our community. That's a whole lot of typing. But what if we had a choice such as two boxes we could check before listing the file types. Hello, I'm interrested to renew the suite, for a new website. However, I want to renew only some apps'. For instance, I don't want to renew Ip.commerce. But in the new admin seems to not allow the choice. I have to renew everything, for 75$. I don't want that. May be I've missed something ? Regards

Just wondering...is there a specific reason why, when I click a Latest News topic off the Invision splash page (e.g. New: Gallery improvements), I'm taken to the most recent comment instead of to the news article itself? When I click that link I want to be taken to the beginning of the news - not the last comment, which could be pages farther down from the actual news.

Hello, I am really annoyed that I can't edit my threads endlessly here. I am willing to help other users with technical things like creating a decent WHM/Cpanel configuration or more documentation for developers. However apparently you've got a rule which forbids editing a thread endlessly. I don't think that it makes sense to post additions for my original guide as answers because they are going to be lost between questions and other replies. This is actually mentioned here by @Tactical Geeks: I'm running into this issue where I have a business related profile fields needing to be filled out but they are bypassed. One solution would be to have a user message posted to fill their profile out and until its complete, the message stays. Or on social login, have them just redirected to their profile settings.

I really want to have more control over status messages. For example, I want to allow my members to post status messages, but I don't want them to be able to post messages on other member's profile pages. It would be great if admins and/or users could get the option to either allow or deny other users to post status messages on their profile page. It would also be helpful if admins could be able to decide a character/word limit before the content of status messages was cut off and replaced with a read more link. I love the sliders in downloads but they only scroll with those little arrows that are hard to see sometimes. There is no timed auto scroll option. There is no ability to slide with fingers on touch screens including mobile. Improving this a little would help display things and improve purchasing volume. Can this small upgrade be added?

Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Flickr, Tumblr, Instagram and a few other main stream ones. I understand we can connect out gateway with it to sign in but, it would be nice to say post something via twitter on a subject matter via the forums and have it connect to my Twitter are Facebook on a user level than a globe one for the main community. From how I understanding it. Something like the New: Customizable Blog Sidebar that was just posted today just has icons to the website, it would be nice if it was built in to the forums to connect them. TLDR: Tighter integration with social networks; to use the services than just to sign in with them.

So here what I'm seeing. If I want to communicate with an Admin, I would use 3 ways. 1 - Admin Notes (Problem All Admin See it - No way to really directly to a specifically Admin within the ACP.) 2 - PM Admin - In the from end. (I think the front end PM's are best for other things than Admin stuff when you have to switch between front and back ends) 3. Admin Only Forum - Post stuff for Admins but it sort of weird when trying to work on the back end when there a front end forum. When on iPad (likely iPhone as well, haven't tried it)... when you try to add a Profile/Avatar photo...On the first or sometimes multiple attempts to "Upload a Photo" and then clicking "Choose Single File" nothing happens. But if you X out of the Profile Photo field a couple/few times and keep trying, the Choose Single File Upload function eventually works. Many of my Members who use Smart devices have never added a Profile/Avatar photo because it always fails on the first try.

Some customers of IPS prefer to stay "native" and stay within the available functions offered with IPS. The reasons are varied and not the point of this Topic. Questions to IPS staff or others: What if any is the the vetting process by IPS for third parties to add plug-in uploads to the Marketplace? If a customer purchased a plug-in from IPS Marketplace, and upon upload it caused issues will IPS Support help and correct the problem(s)? Does IPS ever add popular plug-in capabilities to their native software? Or is their a clause of some sort prohibiting this?

While it is possible to create group blogs on the AdminCP side of things, I think group blogs need a bit of work. First of all, if you create a group blog, the title page of the blog reads "a group blog by" without any indicator of which group the blog is for (EDIT: I figured out that you can enter the owner name in this space, but perhaps it could be made a bit more obvious?). Second, there seems to be no way to control permissions for group blogs. Can we not make group blogs that are visible only to members of that group? It doesn't seem so. Any posts made in a group Blog are visible to everyone, when there should be the option to make a group blog visible o…
