Hi, In order to optimize our communities for SEO, that would be great to have the ability to insert links on special keywords. In the admin CP, we could have a list of keywords, each associated to a link. For instance, if I have a page on my website about Ferrari cars, I would like to be able to link the word "Ferrari" to that page about Ferrari. Then, each time a member writes the word "Ferrari" in his posts, that would create automatically a link to that page (only if that word is not already in a link, of course). Would it be possible? The setup of this functionality is ill-conceived as far as I can see. It’s a product option, so it should be set up when a product is created, but the function is not available without linking the product from the custom field first. But when I go to the field first, I also cannot link it, since there is no product to link to yet. It’s like you are trying to send us through the Asterix madhouse. I have to set up the product without options first (and hide it from everyone because it’s not ready yet). I've seen this in Discord and other platforms and thought it would be a nice addition here on IPS for us lazy millennials. Make the reaction icons clickable to give a reaction of the same type. Maybe it would need a rework to see all the reactions but hey it's an idea. It would also help with having to tap twice on mobile. More satisfaction in the fastest and easiest way possible.

While determining performance issues of an IPS install on a Windows VM I profiled it. It turned out that a large chunk of the rendering time is spent running uniqid() over and over again – over 140 times just on the forum overview page. Signing in to the community then I have to sign in to Client Area. It just a little pain to do both all the time. I thought IPB had a Master Slave thing that allows for to installs to talk to each other so that they can be not connected but still have the same sign in or share the same allow signin so thus I don't have to signin twice. Hope that made sense. I just got to keep signing in twice all the time just a bane. Could this be fix to allow one signin for both one time?

I'm filtering reaction tabs in the summary that have a count of zero, but it seems that IPS\core\modules\front\members\profile is not using reactBlurb() (even though it works when extending it) Could it be made consistent with the thread showReactions() method? Thanks!

I noticed that the $last_activity field in the clubs directory used to build their "Last Active: [date]" text only reflects topics made in clubs. Could this be adjusted to reflect any activity that takes place in a club? If users are adding calendar events, gallery images, or blog posts, the club will still be seen as inactive unless people are also posting topics/replies to topics, which isn't a very good indicator of activity.

Say I have a really complex footer, and I want to be able to include some code in it that I would need to cache so queries aren't run on every pageload. Well right now you can just include the widgetContainer template anywhere you want and define it as a location! It does everything you need and you can plop widgets anywhere. However, in IPS\core\modules\front\system\widgets it's only letting areas of sidebar, header, and footer be accepted, which stinks. Could this be removed, or a way to define custom widget areas? Thanks!

So you can create a table on a page with pagination and point the content URL to a separate page, however there is no data attribute currently to disable updating the URL. Could this be added so inline pages could be properly made without modifying the URL? Thanks!

Hi, i know, there is a plugin here: But it is rather old, seems not to work correctly on 4.2 and only supports mobile devices - but many people use the DesktopApps these days... Couln't IPS add this to the default sharelinks, so it's in the core? It's also supported by XenForo and Wolrlab in the Core now (yes, I'm a bit jealous - but I'll stay with you anyway )... Hello, We have experienced some instances of possible account sharing and the use of our Downlod Manager. I recently updated our community from an ancient 3.1.2 build to the current. In the old system, we could see the list of who downloaded a file (still possible) and it would also show a little flag for the country of the source IP and would list their IP address. That IP functionality is no longer present. It would be very beneficial. I know I can get the list of IPs someone has used and cross reference with users who downloaded a file, but the old way was seamless and would be perfect for us right now. Hello, I would love a mod that would replace text within a URL with a predefined text string. For example, if someone hit the LINK button to insert a link and they put ftp://somesite.com/filename.zip, it would automatically replace that with http://somesite.com/files/filename.zip. Does that make sense? Essentially, word replacement within URLs. The native word replacement works if someone just straight types a link directly within a URL but it doesn't work when using the LINK button. Is this possible? I posted this in the another section of the forum but i realised it may be better to post it here We decided to limit the image post size to 700 pixels maximum in width and length and when we was doing the work on the forum server many of the attachments was over sized 2000 plus x 2000 plus of nothing of great value, members just download from the web and uploaded to the forum... When it comes to Prefixes and Tags, IPSuite is absolutely terrible at managing them. We need third party applications to manage them and do things that should really be in the core, overall I think tags & prefixes are vastly overlooked and thus the power that they could have on forums is hindered. This is just one example where your competitor is superior, you can filter a forum's topics by prefix and receive a list of topics in the default topic list view. I realize after doing a demo of Invision, as well as signing up for one month on the hosted offering, that Subscriptions are only available if the Commerce application is present. A few other forum products I've also looked at have Subscriptions (and payment provider configuration) included in the base product. In terms of the self-hosted options, Commerce costs an extra $100 initially, plus $70 per year for updates. The one feature I feel like needs to be improved a lot is searching. For years, I have seemed to always get odd results, which I'd never get in search engines or other software. No results when I knew content existed or a ton of results seemingly irrelevant to the search. On this site, I would search for marketplace apps that I knew existed and never find them.
