Data at Your Fingertips: Explore Our New Reporting and Statistical Capabilities By Ryan Ashbrook Tuesday at 01:29 PM
DSystem
Many topics are created in the wrong sub-forum because of the way this menu works. The menu does not close if the user selects a main forum. In this case, the user needs to select Notebooks and then click the area in blue below. If the user selects a sub-forum, the menu closes and he understands that he is in the correct area. Is there any way to change how this menu works? Maybe tweaking the theme or creating a plug-in.
opentype
This behavior is used throughout the site and the ACP. I wouldn’t mess with it in just one place. The best solution in my opinion is to not use a forum structure like that. ? A “parent” that is both a forum and a category to hold other forums can always cause confusion. If you make it just a category, you wouldn’t have that problem you showed to begin with.
DSystem
I understand! It is best to leave the organization of the forum less intuitive to leave this menu functional.
opentype
Was that sarcastic? It’s certainly not even close to what I meant.
