I would like to have a possibility to exclude members from conversations.

Anyone?

I should add that as an administrator I would like to exclude members from conversations that were not started by me.

If you don't want to allow other members (except for the admin) to start conversations, you could

-> set the PM space in member groups to a minimal value (0?) and there should be an option anywhere for the admin group to even PM other members if that would exceed the allowed storage maximum.

Only an idea, not tested.

Other option: if you want your members to communicate only with you, use the built-in support ticket system (and deactivate the personal message system for all). That way, you would announce "your conversation" as a forum post/blog entry/database article and announce to your users there to use the support ticket system, if they want to talk to you.

The comment is can we ban members from specific threads.  Up vote from me!

Banning members from specific threads is a feature we could really use. Even if it were available in the marketplace if would be very welcome.

Thank you, I'm going to give that a try :)

Should be a core feature. XF has this too, and I find it very helpful on various occasions where a forum ban or temporary ban would be a bit too much for the user.
