  2. Hi, we have been discussing about a new feature to support "local mail" (instead of only email providers), 10 months ago. Have you considered this feature? I - and probably many others - would still be very interested. Also interested in Amazon SES, as this seems to be an affordable solution for huge mailing lists, too. Unfortunately I can't afford using SparkPost or MailChimp. Thanks. I will consider it, it goes against one of the original ideas behind the app in that it is not something you need to configure for it to work. You install it and it just works if you use one of the supported services already.

I have some thoughts about the importance of such an enhancement -> rule: dont destroy your quality email quota in advance on any paid service platform, your paid email service provider will punish you for initial misuse frequency. If I could prepare in advance, and pass the criteria with a good score, lets do it. why spending money on services, better save hundreds of bucks if you can do the sending yourself. means such an enhancement is really valuable if you expand your app, you will reach all customers (full spectrum, it will go gold) 🏆

  7. In the "user post bit" on the left side of the forum posts (=the space displaying the avatar, reputation and posts), it's added "add note" + icon to it. I have a lot of entries that are shown there, f.e. custom profile fields, iAwards, points aso. REQUEST: Either -> Please let us sort, on what position the "add note +" entry is displayed (currently it sticks below my iAwards and this is quite ugly, but I'd prefer to see it below the "user posts" count) OR Please give us an option to remove it completely in the user post bit (if nothing else is possible, its better not to see it there, moderators can still view notes in the member profiles, ModCP and receive notifications)
  8. Request: Please let us (optionally) remove the "change group" option in the user post bit (left side of the forum posts) I have so many entries in there and it's just too much information there. It doesnt look nice if you have many entries and you can't even sort them. Thanks.

  10. It would be nice, if the timestamp / date would be shown in the ModCP member account deletion listing, when a member has requested his account to be deleted. Our staff only looks into this mask from time to time, and sometimes, we keep member accounts alive for further checks, before we delete them. So, if we could see, when the deletion request was initially entered in the system, that would be very helpful. Thanks.
  11. What record? Different community admins, different opinions, different use cases. I'd like to see more ambitions concerning progressive web app development, and app look & feel styling as well as all the other benefits granted by apps. My target demographic members are young people that prefer apps. I'd be willing to pay my share if someone will come up with a longterm-supported solution. I really hope this will happen one day. 🍾🥂💥
  12. I'd like to ask if it could be possible to change the "Description Text" field type to a full text area field with formatting options. This way, we could place some additional links in there, f.e. to other forms or to the privacy terms. Thanks.

  14. I'd like to suggest a new feature: If an (allowed) member has a birthday "today", then send an email to all members of allowed groups. It will be an inspirational reminder! Cheers.

Hi, here are some suggestions for enhancements to the app: Show opt-ins for each newsletter in the ACP. -> Let administrators see how many and who is currently subscribed to an individual newsletter -> show the current sendout counts (how many emails have been sent?) and maybe a monthly history Implement additional sendout member filters / more filter options -> currently we can only filter for member groups (who will receive, who may opt-in....) -> requested is a functionality, where I can filter regular member groups AND ON TOP OF THIS -> # joined the community more than/equal/less than x days ago ("registration filter") # last visit newer than/equal/older than x days ("inactivity filter") # has reputation count higher than/equal/lower than ("quality filter") # custom member profile field value is/is not xxx ("custom filter") Upcoming birthdays / birthday list -> show the x upcoming birthdays or all in a day/week/month/year -> use the data from the member profile (birthday field) Problems I am experiencing with the current version: The html previews don't look like the final versions -> line height and paragraphs are not honored correctly Test distribution doesn't convert the newsletter fields like "unsubscribe link" and others The time format of my topics, files, images in the newsletter is corrupt -> in my live community all time formats in topics, blog entries… are shown correctly and translated (foreign language set as community default) -> in the newsletter they are in english and not translated unfortunately (maybe due to different languages being turned on?) -> in the newsletter the entries show time with timezones, but I only use 1 timezone, where I live, it's confusing Images don't resize according to the device display size/dimensions -> I'm using the default template code, and if I import downloads files with their images to the newsletter, the images shown in the distributed newsletter extend the device size -> results: either images are moving out of sight on the right edge of the device OR images are shown correctly and the newsletter text becomes so small that I almost can't read it anymore (so I have to zoom in again) Best regards

I think the "member inactivity" (=last visit or real last visit) should get more attention f.e. only award reaction points if member's last visit isn't older than x days only award response posts points if member's last visit isn't older than x days only award weekly/monthly/yearly points if…. only award bank interest if ... There are many cases where it would make sense, if we could exclude inactive members from receiving points, if they are offline for a longer time. If my members would know, that they won't receive anymore points after day x, they would login more often and it would drive up the community engagement. Similar to the "inactivity rule" it would also be great to do the same with f.e. "bulk email opt-ins", so we as admins can choose to not award members, that are currently not subscribed for bulk email. That would help the email marketing a lot.

Some concerns I'd like to remind for consideration for the announced upcoming big update please: Promote item to promote to secondary member groups It would be really great, if you could consider the "promote member group" item could promote to secondary member groups. My regular subscriptions promote members into secondary premium groups, so the item, that can be purchased by points, should also follow this functionality or it'll probably create a lot of chaos if primary and secondary group promotions get mixed up 😉 Points for (1) reaction giver and (2) points value differentiation between "reaction areas" Monthly points if subscribed (opted-in) for bulk email This would really make sense, to drive and push the opt-ins into our newsletter Points depreciation after inactivity time x As an optional setting # reduce points by x% per week/month/year if longer inactive than x days I don't want to create trouble with bringing up old suggestions, but I kindly ask for consideration as they are important for my app usage.   18. It's a good idea to restrict the link parser somehow, so it won't generate unlimited links. This should be configurable. Why? Google shouldn't crawl my pages and detect a linking overdose. An option would be useful to restrict links per post, links per author, and links per page. If you have too many keywords linked, and many keywords are used by the poster, this sometimes results in in a huge amount of links per page. It would be nice to see the custom link CATEGORIES come back, to better organize links if you really have a lot of them. In my case for example, I'd like to have 20 categories (for the thematic and synonyms), and each keyword/keyphrase is linking to the same link

  20. Hi, I'm interested in this app, just to know how many emails are actually going out every day, and in which cases emails are sent mostly. Though I have some other questions / suggestions for it: Will this app work with other apps, f.e. "mail bouncer" or other email modifications, that will "ban emails", that can't be delivered for any reason? Or will "delayed emails" by your app lead to an "address ban" initiated by other apps? What happens if emails are restricted from being sent (due to too many emails in the queue), but there won't be any capacity later on to send them, as too many prioritized emails are waiting to be sent? Will the lower prioritized emails be deleted at any point of time? I'm asking as I don't want my members to receive low prioritized emails 1 month later for example. There should be a cut-off date. Is there any notification if emails won't be sent for a long time or never? For the member himself? For the admin? For my purposes, I'd like to split the sending of emails to different email providers. F.e. I'd like to send registration/password recovery emails via a paid service to go for sure that they will be delivered, BUT other notification emails should be sent via my own server (php email). This isn't possible with IPS. Is this something that might benefit your app in a future version? Or would this be better for an independent app? ^^no. 4 is one of the solutions I'm looking for for a long time. I want to use "free emails" from paid providers to sent the most important emails, but avoid other costs for follower notifications aso. Thanks for a short response.
  21. I had a similar request before around a year ago in this topic. Every communication channel should be individually selectable. Telephone as well as email. I don't want to allow/show both. In some cases this might be a GDPR violation, especially if adverters want to deny their personal informations at a later time or if they entered them by mistake (not knowing that it could be used publicly). Or if they NEVER want to be informed/contacted via email. Classifieds should honor communities with anonymous members and only allow exceptions if: the seller consciously accepts this. It should only show/offer telephone AND email contacting functions if the seller accepts this the allowed informations should ONLY be shown to purchasers after the sale is flagged as "sold", and no other member should ever be able to contact a member in any other way than PM after the sale is completed, these personal informations should totally disappear, for all members, and not be available anymore forever It's a common problem, that interested members will ask the seller to close deals out of range of the community admin to avoid additional costs/fees. We as community admins lose control about the classifieds. And it might be a big violation with GDPR... edit: just saw Adriano replied with a great solution for the "other" field. Thanks. This should be implemented by @InvisionHQ in the app directly, for "other" as well as for "email". Thanks.
  22. I'm also using cron. Birthday greeter is set to send PMs and Emails only (but it never did trustworthy during the last months). In the ACP, the birthday greeter task is shown as locked in the dashboard continuously (and I still have the problems with duplicate PMs (or even 3 in 1-hour intervals), sometimes no PMs at all...) Another bug I detected: In Birthday Greeter, General Settings, Date Format -> if I activate the checkbox "use default" and save, it saves, but as soon as I come back, the checkbox is unflagged again.
  23. Hi @InvisionHQ, I just visited bbcode.it and wanted to add the "TAX class selection per category" improvement. But I noticed, the forum is down, and instead, it shows a FlySpray project management system. I also tried to login there with my bbcode.it credentials but it didn't work. What can I do? Where can I add Classifieds (and iAward) suggestions that should be considered? Thanks.
  24. I would be highly interested when the new babble chat version (major upgrade) will be ready. Is there any ETA? We have a lot of problems with the chat bots and we really have to get rid of them, if there won't be a new version in the near future. The bots have been a good and funny idea during the introduction phase, but all my members are bored of the always and continuously happening same responses again and again and again. There are no chat bot response variations, no breaks, no pause. Further more, my moderators report, that if a member gets regularly warned via the native IPS warning system (temporary ban as well as indefinite ban), the banned members are still able to go on chatting (while they are banned in the rest of the community and can't use other apps/functions). This seems to be a bug in the app.
