  1. There might be available CKEditor plugins. Check their site as this request is out of Invision's scope. https://ckeditor.com/cke4/addons/plugins/all
  2. The IPS Suite is lacking the desired functionality to prevent spammers to post spam links, if you want to allow ALL users to use the messenger to a certain degree. As a first recommendation, I'm using the following app (Restricted Messenger) to set accurate permissions / restrict messaging for each member group separately. F.e. new users group -> may only message to staff groups (admins/mods), NOT to other groups (so there is no danger, that new user could message to other user groups except for stuff) users with 5 content count group -> may message to staff groups AND "top users" group (but NOT to new users) top users -> are allowed to message to all groups, but limited by the IPS restrictions (top users are well known users, that have a high content count AND don't want to risk to get banned due to sending spam ads / spam links) staff -> are able to message to all groups, almost no limitations In my dreams, a perfect solution idea for restricting messages/message contents for new users AND users in higher user groups could be: use the regular IPS group promotion tool with higher permissions for higher user groups implement Restricted Messenger by @A Zayed maybe convince @TheJackal84 to implement a "pay points per message/conversation" option in the "Member Shop" app (so users have to pay for each message/receiver combination, users that dont own enough points, cant send messages, so messaging will be restricted by the content creation ability of the sender, and if there are many contents created, a sender wont risk to get his account banned by messaging annoying spam links to others). But this function isn't here yet. maybe convince @Adriano Faria to extend his app "Enhanced Links Moderation", so it might be used to restrict the messenger, too. But this function isn't here yet Also have a look at this app by @Makoto -> My recommendation: Ask the app authors for additional functionality in their apps OR post in the "IPS customer feedback" forum area, as this is the right area to let IPS know about missing logic and missing features in their software. Good luck!
  3. I have exactly the same problem and so far, there is no solution in sight, to do any automatic email address verifications / bulk email list cleanups for communities using local php mail. By using a professional email provider I'd pay around 500 - 1000 $ for each bulk email sent out. And unfortunately I can't afford this. The author of the Mail Bouncer app has been contacted 10 months ago in the app's support topic and he responded to consider this app extension for local mail though he originally wanted to leave it as most "configuration-free" as possible. Any manual option to deactivate bouncing email addresses is a no-go for communities with 250.000 users… But I'd be willing to support any solution that can automate the bounce detection for local php mail and setting them back to "validated" or any other workaround.
  4. Hi, we have been discussing about a new feature to support "local mail" (instead of only email providers), 10 months ago. Have you considered this feature? I - and probably many others - would still be very interested. Also interested in Amazon SES, as this seems to be an affordable solution for huge mailing lists, too. Unfortunately I can't afford using SparkPost or MailChimp. Thanks. I will consider it, it goes against one of the original ideas behind the app in that it is not something you need to configure for it to work. You install it and it just works if you use one of the supported services already.
  5. There is an option inside the member group settings in the ACP, if members are allowed to delete their contents
  6. To add on to this request Banned members should be able to send in support tickets, for a reasonable amount of time (so they can at least request to delete personal data in their posts or ask for a second chance and excuse themselves, communicating via email concerning accounts is not an option) Banned members shouldnt be able to send pm to others, currently it looks like this is allowed (<- maybe this is an error in my installation?)
  7. Since the calendar view has been changed, my members have stopped using the calendar at all... 😭 Especially for wider displays, the cover images display very ugly. It might be working ok on mobile devices, but for common desktops and large monitors, it's just a bad looking solution without any overview anymore. Please offer an alternative option.
  8. I'd like to allow my vip members to only be able to create/manage clubs as long as they are in a special "vip member group", in which they are promoted by subscription after purchase. As soon as the member subscription (with a higher club role feature) ends, the permissions to be a club owner / club leader should automatically be removed or paused. Any ideas? Thanks.
  9. So is it a single global option for all email templates? I'm not sure if I understand it right, but there should be an option to exclude email ads images for email confirmation emails (f.e. during registration). Why? It's illegal to sendout emails with commercial contents in different countries ("EU"), if the potential new user hasn't confirmed to receive ads by email. But if email validation is required, and the member has NOT opted in to receive other types of emails with commercial ads included, then that's already a violation, if ads are displayed. Because everyone could enter any email address. And yes, you might get sued, even if a bot has entered the address. The site owner is responsible. This would be a serious problem (so I better mention it here), so please let us exclude dangerous email types, in case this isn't possible yet. Thanks.
  10. You can use iAwards in combination with the Rules application. Just search for these apps in the marketplace.
  11. I will consider it, it goes against one of the original ideas behind the app in that it is not something you need to configure for it to work. You install it and it just works if you use one of the supported services already. I have some thoughts about the importance of such an enhancement -> rule: dont destroy your quality email quota in advance on any paid service platform, your paid email service provider will punish you for initial misuse frequency. If I could prepare in advance, and pass the criteria with a good score, lets do it. why spending money on services, better save hundreds of bucks if you can do the sending yourself. means such an enhancement is really valuable if you expand your app, you will reach all customers (full spectrum, it will go gold) 🏆
  12. +1000 My community has more than 100 subforums. Guess how long the displayed fluid view list is 😓. In its current state, my members dont like to use it unfortunately.
  13. If this would be possible, I'd directly purchase this plugin 🙂 💲💲💲
  14. My experience is that IPS Cloud connections to europe are slow, at least in my opinion, they should be faster. I've also been asking for europe cloud servers times ago, also concerning data privacy rules, but it hasn't had any priority. A CDN might speed it up, but it doesn't solve the data privacy restriction.
  15. Thank you very much. It was my fault, as I didn't find it.
  16. would be great, if "displaying…" (that is shown for collapsed topics on top) can be a language string, that can be translated
  17. checkout the free "new member defaults" plugin in the IPS marketplace
  18. In the "user post bit" on the left side of the forum posts (=the space displaying the avatar, reputation and posts), it's added "add note" + icon to it. I have a lot of entries that are shown there, f.e. custom profile fields, iAwards, points aso. REQUEST: Either -> Please let us sort, on what position the "add note +" entry is displayed (currently it sticks below my iAwards and this is quite ugly, but I'd prefer to see it below the "user posts" count) OR Please give us an option to remove it completely in the user post bit (if nothing else is possible, its better not to see it there, moderators can still view notes in the member profiles, ModCP and receive notifications)
  19. Request: Please let us (optionally) remove the "change group" option in the user post bit (left side of the forum posts) I have so many entries in there and it's just too much information there. It doesnt look nice if you have many entries and you can't even sort them. Thanks.
This is an extremely valuable application. It keeps your offline members come back again. I can recommend it to everyone.
  20. It isn't really necessary but would have been a good idea to make things easier. But don't bother, we're still alive without the date shown 😉
  21. It would be nice, if the timestamp / date would be shown in the ModCP member account deletion listing, when a member has requested his account to be deleted. Our staff only looks into this mask from time to time, and sometimes, we keep member accounts alive for further checks, before we delete them. So, if we could see, when the deletion request was initially entered in the system, that would be very helpful. Thanks.
  22. probably the ipsPip's are meant, below "Community Regular" in your profile ^^, that indicate your status (the more dots displayed, the higher your rank is) <span class="ipsPip"></span> oooo Sorry, dont know how to insert symbols into this editor here… 😥
  23. What do you mean with "correct"? If icons aren't displayed, then -> Clear the cache? Or ask the collabs author, Kevin Carwhile, for support?
  24. What record? Different community admins, different opinions, different use cases. I'd like to see more ambitions concerning progressive web app development, and app look & feel styling as well as all the other benefits granted by apps. My target demographic members are young people that prefer apps. I'd be willing to pay my share if someone will come up with a longterm-supported solution. I really hope this will happen one day. 🍾🥂💥
