I like the similar content block that seems to be triggered by tags used. However, when there are no tags used there is no similar content block and I think in some cases it would be good to be able to just put a default tag if one does not exist, to trigger the block to show something for content on the page and SEO. Maybe a setting within the block where you can add a default tag to be used to trigger the block on, if tags don't exist.

We are using the image proxy functionality on our forum which I appreciate for the security and privacy benefits it provides. We serve live status images on our server which people use in their signatures, but unfortunately these are proxied and cached so the displayed status is not accurate. It would be great if we could whitelist our domain to stop it from proxying these images. Thanks.

We're spending $1000 annually on Mailchimp and it feels like a waste for something so basic. I would love it if IPB added this functionality into the suite. Just make sure it allows email addresses that are unconnected to a forum account.

Hey, Just a suggestion after talking to IPS support... Since you guys have such a great forum system with the unique addon feature of also being a commerce platform, why not further the integration and provide an additional compelling reason for potential members to register by allowing IPS owners to allow distinct discount code to be embedded in welcome emails? Having a feature to offer XX% coupon code upon registering and confirming an email address is fairly standard for most online shops these days. Having a similar feature for when a person registers on the forum is a no brainer and not available anywhere else. Perhaps modifiers to expend this might be to …

When you are in the code editor window, Lua syntax highlighting works correctly but it does not color comments correctly in the post view: function test() --function test() --[[ function test() ]] Compare this to C syntax highlighting, which works correctly: int n; //int n; /* int n; */

In 4.2, we used to be able to add a title with %n to the images and when they uploaded, they would automatically add Title 1, Title 2, Title 3, etc. 4.3+ does not do that. Now it just adds the random file name as the title. IPS says it was removed because it was built from the ground up. Anyone else missing this feature?

Would it be possible that the from email address from a Email Notification, could be the Senders Email address rather than the Board Email address (as it is default). I have lost count the amount of email replies which I have had from my members, thinking they were replying to the original member email.

I have had a spate of members complaining that they can still see content from users which they have put on ignore, especially posts with ignored users quotes. Is there any chance we could see improvements on this, which would better obfuscate ignored users posts? (ie, not giver the ignorer the chance to view ignored posts/quoted posts).

It would be great if users had some control over blocks that appear in different parts of the site. Blocks that cannot be removed would be chosen by the administrator but other than that the user would be free to add/remove any blocks they want, wherever they want.

The All Activity stream is great, it would be even greater if new items would show up automatically without the need of pressing the "Click here to load it". To avoid issues on heavy usage sites it should be off by default and have settings like "load new items after 1/5/10 etc. minutes and usergroup permissions.

Is there anything in the works for this? Notice I used the word "Post" and not "Topic"... since we can already see on the forum list the number of views per topic. (by the way... that should also be viewable on the actual original post view as well) Does anyone know of an app that will already do this? Quora has implemented it as well as Twitter Here is an example: Any ideas?

Ok, so after some comments by my members, we've noticed that our email templates are completely out of whack. It seems that the default templates include a BACKGROUND color on almost every element (Facilitating the need to edit each and every gosh darn template to remove it). For instance, this is download's "New File Version Notification" default template: {{if $content->author()->member_id}} {$email->language->addToStack("email_new_file_version", FALSE, array( 'sprintf' => array( $content->author()->url(), $content->author()->name, $content->indefiniteArticle( $email->language ) ) ) )} <a href='{$content->url()}'>{$content-&…

In every previous version this was an option. How do you remove old orphaned attachments, old emoticon shortcuts that are reused. Recount peoples posts when they were deleted or the threads. Or just about any other feature that was in every previous version, I mean even in 2.0 it was there. I dont understand why such a key detrimental thing like recount and rebuild has been removed. Please bring this back as it helps keep boards free of OLD images, old avatars, and just about everything else

I think we have all become used to moving to the bottom of our screens on iphones to post emoji's, it doesnt seem natural when posting on IPS to then have to navigate upwards to find the emojis to add to your post. Would these be better served at the bottom of the editor somewhere?

Is it possible to implement this (or is there an extension for it)? The way it works on the normal forum is great, but it's not implemented for PM threads, unfortunately.

Hi, Is it possible to change this setting? 30 posts per page is too many for some users who have slower computers. Thanks!

The search field is short, at the top right, thank you for watching the screenshot. There is no more space here to report bugs?

Until now, Pages templates, e.g. the ones I sell on the Marketplace, cannot easily be upgraded. Either: the installation of a new version doesn’t update the old one and both versions exist next to each other which makes it kind of messy or the user needs to manually delete every template first, which can be cumbersome for larger template sets and the user might make mistakes And in both cases, after the new template versions are installed, they all need to be manually assigned again to every database or block that used them. I propose to add an update function to improve that: When templates are uploaded and an older version is detected (thr…

I got an email from a user who's been receiving digest emails and would like them to stop. Seeing that he already unsubscribed from newsletters, I checked the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email, which led to https://(our IPS install)/followed/?filter=digest. This is what I see: At a glance, it looks like he's not following anything. However, after clicking all the links on the side, I found that he's following a single forum topic. It would be nice if there was an aggregate view of all followed content to improve the UX of unsubscribing from notification emails.

Hi, It would be nice to have an option in the ACP to disable users from being able to use the "set as my profile photo" option on other users images in the gallery. It makes sense for a user to set their own images as a profile photo. But they should not be able to use another users photo and set it as their profile photo.

Currently the Subscriptions section is lacking the ability to offer multiple renewal terms per plan. i.e. 1 month/6 month/1 year ... The only way to do this is to create multiple identical plans and set different renewal terms for each one, which is a very sub-optimal way of doing it. Ideally, it just needs multiple options like the old version for selling subscriptions had: Also, I'm yet to test this, but what happens if you use the tool "Convert to a subscription package" on a product that has multiple renewal items? Does it create multiple Plans for each renewal option? Does it just take the first one it sees? I wonder if this was an oversight …

One of my members posted some nice artwork in our Gallery (4.3.3) so I promoted it via Twitter and to the Our Picks facility. The image got posted on Twitter (I don't think it let me add a caption as to why) but the image doesn't show in Our Picks or the Our Picks widget, only the rather boring text caption. This could be improved! ?

I am developing a mobile app. In addition to the REST API -> Get list of posts, the topic_id parameter is much needed. I added myself to api / posts.php. /* Has best answer */ if ( isset( \IPS\Request::i()->hasBestAnswer ) ) { if ( \IPS\Request::i()->hasBestAnswer ) { $where[] = array( "topic_answered_pid>0" ); } else { $where[] = array( "topic_answered_pid=0" ); } } /* Topic ID */ if ( isset( \IPS\Request::i()->topicid ) ) { if ( \IPS\Request::i()->topicid ) { $where[] = array( "topic_id=".\IPS\Request::i()->topicid ); } else { $where[] = array( "topic_id=".\IPS\Reques…

Got this email from Facebook (translated to English): Any advice on what to do? Deleting members with posts is not an option due to the concerns TSP is rising here.
