As the title says. We have a pages database that users can submit articles and we need to approve them for publishing. What happens is that some users do it fast, get approval almost immediately and it pops in the latest content activity streams, gets all the views, click, comments and so on. Other members take their time to create a well thought, elaborate article, edited for a few days and when they are ready for publishing their articles goes in to the n-th page oblivion of any activity stream as they are sorted by creation and not by published date. End result is that probably these users won't bother writing an article ever again. So here is my suggestion …

It's not that important, but service Yandex.Webmaster swears by it. There it would be possible to place a nickname, maybe a signature or other information. Maybe this problem can be solved by the plugin?

Hello, I help administer a forum that is only accessible to paid members of a professional organization. Restricting the access allows for full candor on certain sensitive subject matter. I've had some users contact me with concerns that our Guest count as displayed on the "who's online" widget is more than 0. I've confirmed with IPS support that no guest can see anything but the login page no matter how they try to deep link into the site, so it's set up correctly. I needed to do it but without possibility. One member commented twice on one of our articles within 5 minutes. I have selected his 2 comments but it is not possible to merge. It's a shame, especially since this feature exists for the forum.

Would this be a difficult thing to do? It may become awkward laying them out, but it would offer some flexibility to change blocks say in the store, depending on what the user was looking at.

When sorting by rating within a category view (e. g. Downloads), the items with one 5-star review are displayed above the items that have more than one 5-star reviews. Like this: Record 1 (5 stars, 1 review) Record 2 (5 stars, 4 reviews) REcord 3 (5 stars, 10 reviews) I would list other way: the more reviews, the higher the record is in the list. Is it possible to consider number of reviews for the sorting by rating?

Hello, The title pretty much sums up this suggestion. I'm surprised this isn't a thing yet or at the very least have the saved actions order alphabetically! There's no way to logically organize saved actions at this point. I'd propose the ability to drag them around.

Throughout the site the links to http://schema.org should be updated to: https://schema.org I know this seems like a small thing, but this may have been triggering some insecure page issues I was seen on my site, and since https is considered a different domain the links may look bad to spiders, so this is also an SEO thing that could easily be corrected.

Images gallery should give provision to delete the original images with a disclaimer that rebuild images option will be disabled if you discard the original images. For people who have tons of gallery images and most will never be rebuilt, so its pointless in saving 10-15 MB x 100 images per week and chocking up the server disk space

I use an RSS feed from the chat boards to show forum/blog content on other websites. The RSS feed currently only provides Post Title, URL, Post Content, and Post Date. It would be nice if author display name was included too, so that people could quickly identify who posted each item.

Currently doing some research at how we can entice/make it easier for other nice markets to create an account or login with IPS4 powered sites. And after running into a couple of authentication plugins for Steam in the invision marketplace provided by @Aiwa and @Lavo , I'm wondering if there's something similar available for Behance (a platform used a lot by Adobe and multimedia creators )? The behance API docs are available, but have not yet found an IPS4.3 plugin for it. Is that something on invision's staff radar, or can be created easily by someone?

Hello, I guess this is just a friendly feedback topic for the benefit of my own customers, which I'm submitting in an attempt to improve IPS Support Ticket responses. As a theme developer, customers quite often contact me with bug reports after IPS Support have told them the issue is caused by their 3rd party theme. After quickly checking the issue for myself and noticing the issue also happens with the Default IPS theme, I'm required to redirect the customer back to the IPS ticket system so the Support Staff can investigate further. Categories for invoices would be really handy, as being able to organise invoices by client, organisation, or [insert reason here] is a far superior and more professional approach than simply listing them as an amorphous mass. Searching functionality is good, yes, but being able to impose one's own intuitive sense of organisation to records as crucial as invoices would be a benefit.

Are these filetypes supported? Neither seem to be from my quick test on my own site. They are coming pretty common (example, 4chan uses webm as a replacement for gifs, and Imgur uses gifv) and it would be handy for them to be supported as they get even more popular. I had a media plugin thing for gifv on my old 3.x install, is it coming to 4.x?

In IPB4 it is no longer possible to select a first post and for example merge it with any other post in the same topic. There are various usage cases when "Merge member's concurrent posts" is not an option and a manual control is needed. Reported also in the support forum here.

Just stuck over the funny feature, if moderator splited some messages from the topic - it only appears in the Moderation history of the New topic, but leaves no trace in the original topic Moderation history. This is IMHO not correct, because it is not possible to trace what actions were taken in this topic.

This has probably been asked before, but can we please have the content reported actually appear in the report? Right now, if a user reports a gallery image, it's shown just as a link to the gallery image underneath the report title. I've have to ask what was the point of not actually including the reported content in the report itself, and just having a link available to it? This extends the amount of time it takes to get through reported content, because the content reported has to be opened from the report, action taken, then the moderator has to go back to the report to mark it as complete/resolved. Previously, there was a separate option to change the name of the topic, now you need to use the editing of the first message of the topic - it is very inconvenient: ( P.S.: Maybe there is a plugin to return a separate option?

Hello, IPB Community. It would be nice to have more than one option to pick from the theme list. Let's face it I like to use many themes for my IPB. Once that lists gets a bit to long.... so i'm here asking maybe it's time we add a filter option for having more than 50 themes?

I've just spent the whole of this week doing a dry-run migration of a vB4 forum with over half a million posts to IPS Forums. I've created a new theme and I've added Adsense ads and all the other stuff that's needed for a successful migration. I've also had a few trusted members take a look at the new forum and received feedback. I thought it would be helpful if I related my initial impressions. First off, I'm really impressed. Prior to IPS 4x, media like images were viewed as links in quote tags. It would be nice to have an option in ACP to set media (e.g., images, videos, sns) as links when quoted. As it is now there are no image limit in posts and threads become unnecessarily long when members quote images. Looks messy too. Please consider. Thank you.
