I need to know if multiple quote embedding can cause issues and should be limited like it was possible in IPB 3, but is not possible in IPS 4.0. It was set to max 10 as default on IPB 3.4 and the option had this description: I did see one member post about 70 quotes or even more in one post so I'm concerned.

Hi guys, I want to chage default paths for some pages urls but cant work out the code needed. Hey, I created a custom registration/profile field. Once created, it didn't display, so I created it again. Now, I can see it's displaying twice, but have no ability to delete them. Does anyone know how I can delete them, or even delete them in the database. Thanks! I setup a fresh install, latest version, site works fine untill i add the line to constants.php. I then lose all css on the front end and some bits on the back end. Any ideas how i get this working?

I have a number of Pages in a pull down. Using the Menu Manager I have tried to sort them and have them display in the order I desire. Apparently that doesn't work. At present I have 2x segments of the pull downs that wont re-order. Any suggestions?

Hi, sorry to ask, no doubt it's been asked already, but I'm not sure how to upgrade, I'm a new users of just one week using invision hosting and installer keeps saying download and upload to "my" server? Where is this? Do I just ignore the upgrade message, do upgrades to hosted accounts not just happen automatically? Not sure what to do .... Cheers, Lee

I was wondering if as the title say, I could do a 4.1.2 install with only having the 3.4.8 database? My forum is basically gone and all that is left is the MySQL database for the forums. I was running 3.4.8 at the time. Thanks for any help.

Hello, As a developer i've looked into this issue and wanted to fix the avatar issue there was only a small error. Just run the following command via phpmyadmin ; UPDATE core_members SET pp_photo_type = 'custom' This has worked for me and should also work for you as well. Regards

After upgrade from 3.4.7 to 4.0 I've got some strange fonts in my local language Norwegian. It is the letters ÆØÅ æøå that is not properly displayed. It looks like this: I have looked/searched all over this place and also I tried the converter again, but the converter reports everything normal . any suggestions to this issue?

I've looked at the available options for PHP on my server and I have the choice of 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 5.5. Currently it's running 5.3.28. Is it best to go for the highest version and can I just change the setting on the server CP, is there anything I need to do elsewhere?

How can I go about changing the color of the source background editor? Currently it's white and I can't see the text when I toggle it. (I'm using a dark theme, default text is white) So essentially it's a white background with white text when I switch to source editor, how can I edit the color of the source editor background to change it to like a dark gray/black or something? edit: found out that i should be editing " textarea.cke_source " I think? though editing it and adding it to custom.css is not working =/

I've uploaded to my server under /forum/, had our server PHP version upgraded, and I'm having an issue: Whilst installing, on Server Details, I put it my SQL details, leaving all other details alone, and I get the error message: No such file or directory I don't know why? I presume it's to do with the Site URL, but the directory /forum/ very much does exist - that's exactly where my files are! Any help is appreciated. Joe

http://www.theshaymen.net/ipb/ The post counts as displayed on the home page are not correct. They're 10,000s off in some cases. I can't seem to find anything in the ACP to have these re-counted. Any ideas?

PHP7 GA is scheduled to Nov 12 this year (see php.net) and I want to be an early adopter to get as much benefits as possible from this Version (especially the speed benefits, less "fatal errors", etc.) I'm running a IPS Forum on our server too (v4.1) and I want to know the when you want to officially support PHP7 for your software too. Are there any plans no supporting PHP 7 from your side?

I want to have my website in a android app with webview The problem is : I have adsense by google on the website; so I have a webview it will show adsense too... which is violation of policy .... I want a code which can detect : if it is webview : do not show this code.......... or if webview show the code 1 else show the adsense code...

I see that with the replacement of Nexus with Commerce the Paypal settings have changed as well. I created the app to accept payments and that all works, but Paypal is asking where do they send the user after they take the payment? What's the return URL for Commerce?

Hi, We've got a IPB Forum since ten years and after a long moment without a forum we take the decision to reopen our forum and we didn't reactivate our licence since 2011, tonight we reactivate our licence and I'm getting this text when I want to download the new version: "Only the account owner can download the software" How can we fix this please ?
