Hi all, I've been trying to enable the URL rewrite in my 4.1.10 IPS in order to have a smartphone app developed via REST-API. I'm downloading the .htaccess file from my adminCP and place it in the root folder of the forum (/var/www/<mydomain.ext>/vwforum/). Once I enable the option in the forum, I get a notification that I've made sure that the rewrite module is already enabled: # a2enmod rewrite Module rewrite already enabled And I seem to be stuck in a dead end. Hi all, i'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this question? I'm unsure on how to set-up/handle the automatic emails that my forum sends out. At the moment I am set-up and running and it is using the personal email address that I registered with. I will change this to be a generic forum one, but before getting into that I wanted to now if there are things that I should/shouldn't do? Is there anywhere that I can read some info on this? I am upgrading from IP 3.4.9 to 4.1.10 because there was no SMF converter yet for 4.1.10 yet. So I got the conversion done, now time to upgrade. 1) Downloaded 4..1.10 from my client area 2) Unziped and uploaded everything in the ips_85c0a (not sure if it overwrote any files since I had auto install on) 3) Went to my site to upgrade 4) On step 3 (Applications) it asks " Please select the applications you wish to upgrade. Halfway through the process of turning off designers mode and converting back to IPB, the process stopped. When I tried to refresh the page, I get this An error occurred (500 Error) I get this error in the AdminCP only, the rest of the forum works fine.

(total 80,9% of all servers) Version 5.0 is used by less than 0,1% Version 5.1 is used by 0,8% Version 5.2 is used by 11,3% Version 5.3 is used by 31,7% Version 5.4 is used by 29,7% Version 5.5 is used by 18,4% Version 5.6 is used by 8,5% Version 5.7 is used by less than 0,1% Please can someone tell me why IPS is stopping with the support. Hey, I am running the IPS Suite 4.1.10 with blog, gallery, forum and calendar on PHP 5.4.19. When I try to submit a blog post with quotation marks in the content a 404 error page is shown up. Same thing if I use the query tool in the cms like: select * from blog_blogs where blog_settings = '<a href=""' This problem doesnt happen if I leave comments or forum posts with quotation marks. Maybe other special chars are also affected. In my local enviroment it works fine so I think it has to be a server configuration problem. Any idea?

I've a Paypal account associated with a long standing eBay business, and have recently set up Nexus subscriptions for my forum. Each have a separate email address to receive payments within my main Paypal account. When a Forum subscription customer receives his card statement, it refers to the main non-forum business. This has occasionally caused a chargeback from Paypal because customers don't recognise the payment. I need my two businesses to remain separate. Is there a setting within the Admin Panel that gives a description of "Forum Subscription Package" on the customer's card statement to avoid confusion? Thanks in advance Mike

So twice now I have tried to update my test board from 4.1.8 to 4.1.10. Each time the auto-updater fails and says that I have to upload the files manually; when I do i get nothing but white screens on both the front end and admin side. Lots of errors: I have tried restoring a backup, and re-uploading both the delta files and the full 4.1.10 set but nothing seems to work. Welcome any ideas please.

I have an calendar for anniversary's and I'd like to feature "Today's Anniversary" -- very much like birthday's are handled seeming automatically via profiles. I have a Custom "upcoming events" plugin block set up but the best I can do is feature the event that is coming tomorrow (by setting number of days to 1). How can I modify that plugin to show events ON the day only?

Hi All, 1) When adding multiple Tags to a topic, why it does not allow comma separated tag list ? If I add one by one, it accepts, but if I add a list of tags that are comma separated, it does not. I am a new customer and have the latest release of IPB. However, no converters for IPB4 for SMF as of yet. A work around I would imagine would be to convert to IPB version 3.#.## and then upgrade to my current version I've bought. Question: Is there a way to downgrade my current version? I cannot find any IPB 3.#.## versions anywhere on this site and also is it free? I would imagine since buying into IPB in version 1.4 that means all previous versions are technically mine as well correct? A little help will be appreciated. Not used to IPB at all and will be having a time trying to sort everything out.

Hi, Since we migrated from XF many of our existing members have had issues with their password needing to be reset every time they attempt to login. On a side note... we are also getting reports of the password reset email not reaching every member. I was able to replicate this - there was nothing in my SPAM box, my email address was correct and I was successfully getting other emails. Is anyone else's community suffering from constant password reset issues? PLEASE HELP

This is going to be a lengthy explanation so brace yourself. The community I am a part of is currently hosting a Garry's Mod server. We have IP. Nexus or whatever it's called for IPB v. 4.x and I'm trying to come up with a system that, if a person donates, it will provide perks across the community, (on the website and in the server. Each have it's own means of providing perks in and of themselves, however there's no integration between the two. I'm looking at using commerce to offer subscriptions for ad free viewing. I have opened a demo and I can see all the options to move a user into a new group but I can't see how to downgrade them using after their subscription expires. Is it not possible to say have £1 ad free for 7 days and if they don't renew they are downgraded back to the previous group?

Take a look at my main page: ohiocannabis.com As you can see I have all of my sections with rounded corners and have added custom CSS to do this, but there are a few new WYSIWYG blocks I've added that aren't inheriting these custom CSS attributes and still have pointed corners - what's the fix for this? Same goes for my navigation bar - as a whole I have it with rounded corners, but the hovering links are still squared - yet besides the two corner nav links, the navigation bar is squared - is there any way to fix this? Perhaps just change the hovering attributes of the two outside navigation tabs?
