I'm currently going through and creating a bunch of pages in the Pages app. Things like a "Terms and conditions" page, an "Advertise with us" page, an "About us" page, etc, etc. For each of these pages, I want a standard sidebar. But it seems I have to add a sidebar and set up all the blocks on every individual page I create. It's getting pretty tedious now, and it's going to be a real pain to change anything down the track if I have to go through page by page. Surely that's not right, and there's a way to turn on a standard "universal" sidebar? What am I missing?

This is really weird.. the messages I send via the board do not arrive on any outlook accounts. If i send them via webmail from my server to outlook.com they go through. Other accounts like aol receive emails from the forum just fine. Is this a known issue?

If I delete a user/account, the username changes to "guest". How/where can I change that to still be the username as original, or ex guest_username?

Hi I have a script I want to embed within the themes global template for guest visitors only. The script needs to go inside the <head></head> tags. Is there any way I can make it so that this script is only run if the visitor is not logged into the forum, so a guest? Thanks

Hello, I was testing the Auto Welcome app and registred an account for it on repeat (I deleted it and signed it up again like 5 times) until I got a message that I need approval before Im registred. I approved the account and then deleted it again to test it again (the Auto Welcome app) and then when I was about to register it again I got the error gode 2S129/1 , that Im not permitted to register an account. I did not set a setting to "needs approval" or something so probably I have been blacklisted by my own board. Any tips on how to manage that?

I'm looking for a way to search for / list all posts with external links. We realized that most posts that Admins / Mods have to edit, are posts with external links. It is not so bad that we want to put all posts with an external link into a moderation queue, but it would be very helpful, if we could have an option for the Mods to show / list all posts with external links. Even better if we could search for special domains. Actually we manually search for the term "http" and sort by date. But it would be handy, if we could use this as a saved search. Also we didn't check if we also get the post if the user entered only "www..." without the "http". Any …

Hello, Recently migrated over to Invision 4.1 and all the BBCode doesn't render unless you hit edit and then save in the CKEditor. I was wondering if there is an automated method to do this, or specifically if this is handled by invision in a class / function ?

Anyone else experience this when I create Announcement with font size and color it shows it in editor and in modcp but everywhere it displays on the forum it shows default color and size. Does anyone know if it's possible to prevent avatars from being imported from a URL? We want to avoid (as much as possible) users being able to get the server's IP. (I know some people disagree with methods like this, but we would still like to discontinue the ability to import avatars from external websites.) Thank you very much!

Has anyone made a block that streams Periscope? I have found 2 sites that have periscope videos embedded in them. While they might not be IPB sites it can be done. We plan on using Periscope as our main form of marketing our site and products. [Edit] I also found. node-periscope-stream (0.1.5) - Get details about a Periscope live stream peristream (0.1.7) - A wrapper around periscope.tv event streams, allowing you to easily access them.

Hello, I've just upgraded to v4 and now the mod i had which put on an Ajax "Thanks" button is gone. I see there is a reputation system which can be set to positive vote only - this could function the same as my thanks, however I have a few questions: 1) When i enable it i see a count in the bottom right of a post and it is grey and seems no way to click it... What am i doing wrong here? 2) Is there any way I can convert my thanks votes into these rep points? 3) Is there an actual thanks type plugin for v4?

It seems the Topic Feed widget is filtering some posts. I am not sure why. Same thing happens with default theme. These are my settings. Widget cache is set to 60 seconds. Show Forums: All. Widget got updated showing another topic, but missing the topic "Lustige Vids" Made some test posts there. Same result Even if I set the Forum Filter to "Public" it's missing Any Idea why it is filtering some topics?

Hello, I have IPS4 (4.1.8.1) running Pages database. It looks like all articles (or database entries) created by regular users are created locked by default, and can not be unlocked by the author. Is it possible to create new database entries unlocked by default, so authors can edit them later? Is there a specific setting for that? Thanks in advance PS: All permissions are set to enable Adding, Editing of entries and fields in Pages database.

Hello, I recently installed a new IPS board, version 4.1.5.2. I followed the steps described at https://community.invisionpower.com/4docs/administration/system/settings/login-handlers-r22/ to get the client ID and secret key to configure the Google Login. I have the client ID and secret key and Google+ API is enabled but if I paste the keys to the Google login configuration in IPS I get always an error like "Google rejected the details provided. Please check the details you provided have been entered correctly and try again." I don't know what I should do more or what I have to change? Maybe someone had the same experience? Thanks Tobias

Hi, Please note that we have upgraded our IPB forum from version 3.4.8 to version 4.1.8.1. After upgrading we find that there are issues with links, quotes, images and avatars. Issue with quotes: After upgrading of the forum we see that Quotes in the new forum are working properly. However the quotes which are from the previous version are facing an issue. I read somewhere that you can use Amazon S3 as file storage. I remember years ago my forum got full of images and it was a concern when hard drive on my server was getting full. What are the pros and cons of using Amazon S3 to store my uploads, is it slower to access images? I'm not worried about the cost of the S3, more the performance when members view the forums.
