In a newsletter I created I want to display the price of a product in my store. This is what one of them looks like (in the p_base_price field): {"USD":{"amount":15,"currency":"USD"}} The price is $15. It will always be USD, so I don't need that part, I just need to get the 15 out of that field. Thanks

hello this problem is nothing with ips product , but idk where to post this so ..... Problem is when i use mysqldumper try to back up my database , site down , after 3 min it back , seem mysql got timeout , but when i connect and back up direct in phpmyadmin , all working good , i dont know what happened with mysqldumper . i used it always and never seen this problem , i just upgrade mysql to version 5.7.6 so i think problem is from file my.ini ? Hello, I'm trying to display 200 characters of each member's About Me profile info on a HTML template that loops through all the members, however I cant seem to be able to display the info I want. Here's where I am: {truncate="{$user->member()->['pfield_17']}" length="200"} I'm obviously doing it wrong, I'm sure it is what you'd call a simple mistake, but guidance would be much appreciated. Also, Using your correction, how could I show the a custom profile field with the ID number 23?

Hello, Does anyone know I would properly go about pulling specific custom profile fields within a block with IP.Pages. i.e. I want to display the 2nd and 3rd profile field but not the 1st and 4th, is there a template tag for this?

IP.board 3.x allowed users to delete their own posts, through usergroup permissions, but would not permit them to delete a post if it was the first in a thread. Allowing them to do so would, of course, delete everyone else's posts in that thread. It seems that in 4.1 there is no such restriction, and delete post also means delete thread if you're the OP. We are very keen to permit users to delete their own content (not just hide, for numerous reasons), is it possible to revert to the previous functionality?

This meassge is in my ACP Routine maintenance tasks are performed as users access the site but it looks like the traffic to your community is not sufficient to run these tasks on time. What does it mean? It seems contradictory, ie the maintenance task needs lots of forum activity to run? Then It is recommended that you set up a cron or a web service to ensure a backlog is not created. If you have recently switched to the 'Run Automatically with Traffic' it may take a short while for the backlog to be cleared and you can ignore this message. A cron job for what?? Can someone explain this? Thanks.

Is there a way of turning off the share feature? Its a bit pointless for my site as you have to be registered to view content so if you shared it on faceboook etc. it wouldn't let you see it anyway, but is still a process working in the background, just seems a pointless feature.

My Navigation Menu's custom tabs are not showing on the forums but are showing on the live preview. Also, the avatars on my recent topics are huge, instead of the smaller ones shown on the blocks preview. Any idea how to fix these? New to IP Content.

I've got a couple questions here. Is there a way to set the default timezone for all users? How would a user change their own timezone? When I set my own timezone from the ACP to New York or Detroit it says it saves, but the time is still using Abidjan. I've tried to set it and save, then set it back to automatic, but it will still default back to Abidjan. This is super annoying, anyone know how to fix it? Update: I just looked in the database and my account has America/Indianapolis set as the timezone, but still the preference tab in the ACP are way off.

Hi all, I noticed the users online block is totally different when it's on the side versus the center. Here's my feedback about what I think we need to do. You'll want to always show the entire list of 'logged on' users and show the number of total anonymous users in parenthesis. This is already being done in the center block, but not on the side block. I also want to see the name of the search engine currently crawling my site as well, such as Google, Bing, etc... Hi We just noticed a problem All topics have titles like this : "Title of topic - Forum name - Community name" thats much too long ! we should be able to customize this to have only : "Title of topic" for example This is much better from a SEO point of view, as Google will only take into account the keywords of the defined title of the topic, and not of the rest How can we do that ? Hi Just recently changed to IPB4 I notice there is no button to view logs but if I use the serch for logs I can see them. Is this normal or am I missing a setting? Next, is there a way to assign moderators to particular forums like there used to be or do I have to create new moderator groups?

We brought our forum live today and have noticed issues that a lot of people have been experiencing: Almost everyone keeps getting "signed out" when they visit the index page. The reason I put that in quotes is because they appear signed in when they visit a different page. Is it a CloudFlare issue? Members cannot sign in via the dropdown menu on the main page. They enter their credentials, then it brings them to a standalone login page. Does anyone know how to fix these issues?

Hi Guys & Gals, since setting up a RSS Feed to one of my forums for breaking news. My forum never loads now and shows this error. Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 268173312) (tried to allocate 81 bytes) in /*********1/************/public_html/texforum/system/Patterns/ActiveRecord.php on line 107 What can I do.. currently my forum is unreachable. It seems to be something with IPB's configuration. as, my service (dedicated) is showing 0.04% usage.. across the board (pardon the pun)

Hello All, I just finished upgrading my forum to IPS4. All is ok so far except all posts with code tags prom IPB3 editor are now broken and defaulted to HTML. There are alot of posts like this. What Medieval technology do I use to restrict Prefix's to certain categories. In example: Food in the Food Section. and Cars in the car section.
