It seems that emails sent by the forum are being flagged is unverified. Anyone had this issue before? I've added DNS entry: v=spf1 mx a ptr ip4:XX.XXX.X.XXX ~all (hid IP address) Any thoughts? Thanks, Graeme

I need to allow 1 payment to upgrade many users into a subscription group. After 30 days if the payment isn't renewed the "many" users get demoted to a non subscription group. Is there currently anyway to make this happen? Thank you

Hello, I would like to translate only phrases that are seen to my community's visitors, I don't want to translate admin CP phrases, but in IPB version 4 all phrases are together, how do I know which one of them are admin CP and which are public? I could use Quick Translating function, but it would take too long and I would need to check all community's functions. In IPB version 3 admin CP and public phrases were separated, so you could translate what you want.

I think the answer might be staring me in the face but I just can't find it. How do I set IP.Contents to be the default page when going to my website? When I installed IPB 4.1.8.1, it gave me the option to set this during the installation, which was great, but I had to start from scratch and install IPB 3.4.9 first then upgrade to IPB 4.1.8.1. When upgrading, I was not given this option. I found a guide but it seems it's only for an IPB 3.4.9 setup because it points to download an index.php file which says is only for IPB 3.4.9. How do I manually do this with IPB 4.1.8.1? TIA!

Hello guys, running IBP 4.1.8.1 and I am having an issue everytime I enable XCache in my settings. I follow the instructions and download the new constants.php file, which I then upload to the root folder of my IPB install. Once I do this, I click the Continue button and I get the Internal Server Error 500 message. The only way to regain access to the system is by uploading the latest constant.php file I had before enabling XCache. XCache is installed on my server, BTW. What could be the issue? PS: I leave the Data Storage Method as File System. Do I need to change it to MySQL Database prior to enabling XCache? I get the following error message in…

Dear IPS, When I had IPS3 pages was pretty easy for me to understand and make a site out of.. But, now that Articles has come around. I am quite confused as many things have changed. and, what I used to be able to do was display a blog on my IPS page that kinda gave my "page" the feel of a wordpress site. and, I have no idea how to recreate that now as many of the things I did back then have completely changed. So, I am wondering has anyone written any tutorials or guides on using the new article system? Thank you! -Austin

I created a few custom DBs and am now populating them for inclusion into some pages on my site. I thought that specifying the number of entries to display would be part of a single page and that if there were more DB entries beyond say the number 25 a second page indicator would be displayed so you can see the remaining DB items. Well, it doesn't seem to work that way. Maybe I am missing a checkbox or configuration step, maybe I need a custom template? Anyway, I need to know if there is a way to present all of the entries, but only say 25 on a single page, much the way the forums work I guess.

Hi, I've created a frontend "Child" theme under the "Default" theme, and make this "Child" theme my frontend default theme. I've only made modifications to this frontend child theme, never touched the "Default" theme. However, I am not too sure why this affects the AdminCP theme. In AdminCP, regardless of which AdminCP theme I chose ("Default" or "Child" theme), the AdminCP seems to pick up the colours of my "Child" theme. I supposed if choosing "Default", it will be the IPS4 default AdminCP look, but it is not. I cleared browser cache and relogin but still the same problem. Any idea why this happens? Hi, On one of my older communities (originally an Ikonboard), I seem to have separate Member Groups for Guests and Search Engine Bots but noticed on a recent new install of IPS 4.1.8, you now only get Guests (plus Members etc) and not both groups. Things must have changed by design in later years with IPS so I'm wondering if it's now a good idea to remove my old existing Search Engine Bot Member Group from my older community for simplicity/performance etc. Has anyone else done this without any issues? Or would removing the Search Engine Bots group mess anything up?

Hello, I instaled Nexus aplication (IPS4) two days ago, but I have some problems with it. 1. I can't calibrate "custom field". It is neccesary to choose "Products" from the list but it is not possible. All categories are light gray and I can't mark anything. 2. When I try to buy a product, on the second step I have red information "We can't send (product's name) to your location. I already mark all locations, but I can't go to third step of order. I will be grateful for Your help.

Hello, I'm a new user to IPB4 and i just recently got IP.Gallery after i uploaded the file into the Root Directory in the applications folder and then came back to the website to upgrade it i got a Error message and now when i try to visit my main page I get a "Error" Message. I don't know how to FIX it. And if i have too, i can reinstall the Software from scratch if that is the case how do i go about that without losing out on all the information on the server currently, I understand that most of the information is going to be stored in the Database but i don't know what to do. Hi I have responsive google ads but if I reduce page size some break the border causing a scroll bar. Sometimes the ads show in the center of the page, other times to the left and as I said will break the border. Anyone know why?

Has anyone successfully converted a Wordpress 4.x database (articles, posts, etc) to an IP.Blog 4 database? I uploaded the converter (the right one for IPB 4) and initiated the System/Members conversion without an issue. The issue is that when I go back to Step 1 to continue with the rest of the conversion, I select Blog Data, but when I go to step 2 to select the software, it does NOT give my Wordpress as an option to choose from. It only shows me vBulletin as a software option. In other words, it has only allowed me to convert System/Member but nothing else. It will not show me options to convert Wordpress articles over to IP.Blog. Any help or guidance wi…

I guess this is kind of a question and suggestion at the same time so I'm putting it here I'm wanting to to re-order member IDs so that there are no gaps (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... etc instead of 1, 4, 12, 58... etc) The gaps are caused by deleted accounts, unfinished registrations and things of that nature I could do it by just writing a script that changes the correct attribute in every SQL table but I was wondering if such a tool existed already? I've been unhappy for a while with the initial load time for the main landing page for the our site and I was getting frustrated. We are running on a VPS with 5GB Ram, shared 24 processor, running NGINX, Pagespeed, memcached, and utilising CDN (Cloudfare). I was baffled as to what would be causing page loads times in excess of 5/6 seconds, to the point I was losing faith in ever being able to get the page load time down to a more respectable load time. In the language tab of Pages you can change the word that it uses (ie for 'Articles' or 'Wiki pages' as I have it). I'm using Pages to make a whitelist application area for my gaming server. Can I make it so that different categories of a single database have different language attributes? So the Instructions category would have something like '4 guides' and the applications category would have something like '421 applications'. Here's the page. Is this doable?

Hello, In version 3 we had the ability to turn on the watermark for a category and still have the option to not watermark an image when it was uploading. In v4 I can only find an on/off switch for the whole category. Am I missing a setting? Thanks.
