Posted April 18, 20168 yr Hi, Today I want update aplication Tutorials from version 3.X to 4.X. So I download: https://invisionpower.com/files/file/7629-tutorials/ and go to ACP -> Applications -> and click "upload new version" like ont this screen: And then I see "We could not find the application you were attempting to update". Are you also have the same problem?
April 18, 20168 yr 3.x applications can't be updated at 4.x. You have to remove/ delete all 3.x applications from your ftp and install fresh 4.x applications. Messages at the marketplace from @Adriano Faria by his application. IF YOU HAVE AN ACTIVE PURCHASE OF THIS APP (for IP.Board 3.X): Shoot me a PM and I'll add you to this file (no charge), so you can keep on using it. IF YOU HAVE AN EXPIRED PURCHASE OF THIS APP (for IP.Board 3.X): First, activate your purchase on your Client Area then shoot me a PM and I'll add you to this file (no charge), so you can keep on using it.
April 18, 20168 yr Author So how to update Tutorials from version 3.X to 4.X and not lose data from 3.X? Here https://invisionpower.com/forums/topic/417126-ips4-tutorials/?do=findComment&comment=2631051 @Adriano Faria says: "That's the only known way to update a 3.4 app to IPS4."

No, that's your interpretation of my post. What I said is that the only known way to update an app is going to ACP -> System -> Outdated Apps and click in the button to UPLOAD A NEW VERSION. That's what everybody else does in ALL 3rd-party apps. You said you were finding a problem: "We could not find the application you were attempting to update.". Then I said if you're finding any error, I suggest you to submit a ticket to IPS because if you REALLY have data from 3.4, it should update. That's all. If you look the screenshot, will notice that my tutorials were imported: You can see tutorials from 2011 and that's way before IPS4. Anyway, send credentials to you ACP via PM so I can take a look.

April 19, 20168 yr Send again. I deleted the PM without read it, since you also posted on support topic.

Are you also have the same problem? I think you forgot to mention that you've got the same error FOR ALL OTHERS outdated apps on your test board, which makes me believe, as I said before, that you have a CORE issue, not related to my app. http://www.screencast.com/t/1y2GxEdE My suggestion to you still stands: Quote That's the only known way to update a 3.4 app to IPS4. If you're finding any error, I suggest you to submit a ticket to IPS. I and everybody else made it like that on their live board to update it. The UPLOAD popup should appear so you can attach the .tar. This is a CORE feature, so a ticket would be recommended.
April 19, 20168 yr @necik, checking the core script, try those steps: check if the applications and plugins folders has permission to write files.
April 20, 20168 yr Author I contacted with support. They say this issue should be resolved with the release of 4.1.12
