I've got a troll member who I've put on permanently unable to post They're now just trolling a certain member and giving a negative rep to every post that member makes is it possible to stop a member from giving reputation?

Club uploads get stuck on spinning circle that never actually uploads - this affects every user and browser and image size. Anyone got any ideas at all how to resolve this? Any help would be hugely appreciated, as this is destroying our community heavily built around this feature. It used to work and no sever settings have changed - forum upload work as normal.

Ok my understanding on Sharer logo image is this; if you do not have any image on the topic or on the post, IPB uses sharer logo that you specify on your theme, right? I have already specified my sharer logo on my theme (uploaded)... When I tried to share a topic has image embedded, IPB is still using my sharer logo instead one of the embedded image on the topic (if there is one or multiple image)..... Is this the way suppose to work or something is missing? Also I used to get option to pick the image on Facebook post, that's not there anymore only for this case.....

Hello! I have some sub-forums that grant access to members by adding them to a secondary group. It works perfectly users who are in this secondary group can view and create topics in these sub-forums normally. The problem is that these users can not search in these sub-forums. What do I have to do so that these users can do searches in the sub-forums that have access?

Hi Everyone, My forum lives on a domain that runs a Wordpress site. The Wordpress portion has already been converted over to https and is working great. What is the best way to convert the forums portion over to https? Is there documentation for this? Or can someone provide instructions? Thanks in advance for your help.

Not sure if it's my site only but I've just realised that when I have "Serve Images From Local Server" enabled, any images in the Gallery albums linked in forum posts are broken. If I switch off "Serve Images From Local Server" then they display again. Am I alone having this problem or is this a common thing? A real pity if it was as it would force me to operate with that off (we have hundreds of images from the Gallery displaying in posts).

Curious if there's a way for a novice like me to insert a graphic above each category container in the forum, or at least right above it before the box. Hi, Can anyone advise the best way to move the footer ad block from the default location to above the bottom block? Adsense has let me know my default location footer ad gets viewed by only 6% of visitors. Their recommendation is to move it higher on the page. I am looking at the documentation here for using a custom location https://remoteservices.invisionpower.com/docs/ad-custom-location/?version=102036 but I don't know which template file I need to edit to put a custom ad spot in at that location that will show on all content pages the same way the current footer does. I am upgrading to 4.2 but have missed 6 versions of 4.2. I update my forum by downloading the update and uploading it to my server as I cannot do it automatically. Do I need to upgrade incrementally? (e.g. 4.1 to 4.2.0, 4.2.0 to 4.2.1) or can I upgrade all in one go with the latest file it offers me in the update centre?

Hi All, Haven't been running an IPB site for a few years now, but have a new project I'm working on. I've installed the software into a "forum" directory, and I recall there used to be some configuration required to get it to play nicely. When I currently visit my domain (eg.www.domain.com) I get an IPB error page: Sorry, there is a problem The page you requested does not exist Error code: 1S160/2 How do I get to redirect to the forum directory? (eg, www,domain.com/forum). Many Thanks!

Hi All, Can you please guide me how can I exclude few forums from displaying ADs.? For eg, if I have 4 forums with ids 1, 2, 3, 4 and if I want to display ADs in topics of forums 1 & 2, and do NOT want to display ADs in topics of forums 3 & 4, how can i control this ? Hello, I'm setting up users to login via their google account, but I get this: "Google rejected the details provided. Please check the details you provided have been entered correctly and try again." I've followed the guide at: There are a few things different from what google has now. My settings are as follows. I have tried http/https/main domain/subdomain. None of them seem to work.

Is there any way of an easy reverting post edits as an administrator? We had a malicious user edit a lot of his post by removing content and changing it to ".". Of course I've removed his access and turned off ability of post edition after some time for usergroups on the forums but cleaning up after him took time and I'd like to know if there's an option do do it easy and quick. It's said on the feature tour here that "In the case of edits, previous versions of content can reinstanted at the click of a button." - so please tell me how to do that in case of posts. I have edit logging turned on of course .

I get an insane number of spam attempts. I currently have email and admin validation setup. I also have a required "Occupation" field on the registration form. It's a fairly unique field and easy to tell when a spammer puts in a made up occupation, it's helped weed a few more out. I currently do not have any social sign ins turned on. If I were to turn them on, can I still do admin validation AND can I still have one or more custom fields on registration that I can use to help authenticate the user? Thanks

Is it possible to send bulk mail to members in Validation? Years ago, Validation used to be a group we could use, but now that is no longer an option. How can I email members in Validation without selecting each individual and copy and pasting their email address into email?

Hi, In my Google webmaster tools i get many error not sure if Google maybe later will punish me for this but the problem is. I have a lot of download documents but guest cant download them only members. So in my Google webmaster tools i get many error not sure if Google maybe later will punish me for this but the problem is. Google can't search the download documents or the download button. Google search like a guest. Is there a way to stop google from crawling this? Maybe add something in my robots.txt? Hope someone can help me with this one.
