I have 1gb down and 42mbps up and it takes 5+ minutes to upload 20 images. Why is it taking so long? Is it the software or my host? The forum is hosted on a Hawk Host reseller account. Thanks in advance. update: I just wanted to add that the image sizes are under 1mb

Hi, I'm trying to use the free Openwesther API which provides weather data in JSON format. I've also tried to use the XML format into an RSS block but that didn't work, and they don't offer the data in actual RSS format. I've also been trying to get RSS news article feeds of text and image content into Pages Articles, but bizarrely for a CMS, it's only achievable via a small widget. I'd rather use Pages Articles than Blogs as the main front app. Is there a modern best practice method to import third party content into IPS? I seem to be hitting a snag early on in the conversion process when testing the first steps of a migration. I get an error "Failed to count rows in table 'cms_widget' - is your table prefix set correctly?" when I try to start the conversion after step 3, "database details". This is not a table that exists in my vBulletin installation, so I'm not surprised it's failing, but as far as I know it isn't a part of vBulletin 3.x. Do I need to do some editing of install scripts or something? Is there an easy fix to this? There is no option for just vBulletin 3.8.x (it's combined with vBulletin 4.x) so I assume that's part of the problem.

Our client would like to use a different number scheme for Invoice Numbers. Still numbers, but they do not want to start from 1. Is is possible to modify the starting Invoice number? Or perhaps a plugin/hook that allows this?

I'm pretty sure that I'm missing something, but so far I've not found a way to do this or come up with an answer in the Help Guides. Is there a way to set an individual board to delete topics that have not been posted in after a certain amount of days? I'd like to be able to set some to delete after 30 days and some to delete after 90 days. Thanks in advance for any help!

hi guys, I need a suggestion. When on any page I create a text block with the Wysiwyg editor: If I select visibility Everywhere except clubs, the block is also seen in clubs. If I select visibility Only in clubs, the block disappears. Disabling applications and plugins the problem persists and no longer occurs if I restore the standard theme. But I have not made any changes to the theme other than those made by applications and plugins. Where could I go to check? Good health to all of you 🙂

Hi guys. I recently upgraded my community from version 3.4 to version 4.5. After upgrade I notice that registration with gmail are not allowed. I'm getting error message You are not allowed to use that email address on this site. Registration with other email adresses (hotmail, outlook...) are working fine. What could be the problem?

We run a self-hosted Invision community. This community is connected via an OAuth identity provider. Now we want to disable the default login method. Is there a way to turn it back on without accessing the AdminCP (e.g. in case the Identity Provider does not work anymore)? Thank you!

Hi all, A few years late but we're finally converting our 3.4 board to 4.x. I've just run through a test upgrade and it was mostly successful, however we have over 5000 articles in a Pages database which used Custom BB Codes for formatting and layout of some content. After the upgrade it seems like all the custom code has been successfully converted to HTML, however the CSS classes have been stripped out. Has anyone been able to upgrade while preserving CSS associated with BB codes? Hello, We have a Invision 'Page'. It contains no databases or forums etc, it is just text and uploaded images (which we added via the page editor). At the top of the page we have a massive banner, which we want to be the image that Linkedin and Twitter pick up for sharing. However both social media sites are picking up different images... One isn't picking up any image and the other is picking up an image which is included on the page further down. I have used both the Linkedin and Twitter picture validation/cache clearing tools and nothing is changing. It is confusing that Twitter and Linkedin pick up different images, but anyway... …

Our users posting as authenticated OAuth-Clients new content via REST API out of a third-party application. Everything is working fine but unfortunately the new created content ist not marked as "followed" for the authors - although "Automatically follow content" is active. Does anyone know an easy way to inspect instance of an IPS class (vars/methods etc)? Basically I want to be able to print_r/var_dump/get_object_vars($classInstance) in the cloud hosted env. Example I am creating an "Add to calendar" button on event pages that will allow users to add events to their personal calendars (google, apple, outlook, etc...). This requires that I dynamically add event data. Up until now I have been looking at templates and trying to find the corresponding elements that render a given piece of data - e.g. $event->content(). There has to be a better way that is less of a stab into the dark... anyone have any thoughts!?

Is anyone having issues with embedding Facebook videos? All of a sudden, none of my FB videos show up in my articles/posts. It will show the FB post but the video itself does not. I tried embedding a FB video here as well and it does not work. So at least I know it's not an issue just on my end. Could it be that FB changed the way they allow videos to be embedded and IPS needs to update this? Here is a sample video embed and how it's currently showing up without the video: Can anyone try a FB video embed on their site and see if it's working for them by just copying and pasting the video URL?

I've went through the warnings and restrictions guide but couldn't find the answer I was looking for. When a moderator issues a warning that has points attached to it, those points have an "expiration date". However, when you set up an action - this action ALSO has an "expiration date". So the question is - what "wins"? For example: We have the warning system set up so that if you get 3 point, you're getting moderated for 2 months. Matt got 3 warnings within 30 days. Each of those warnings had 1 point attached. Each point "expires" after 30 days. But, by the time matt got his 3rd point, his 1st point was about to expire after one week. Does …

Hi everyone, in the past version of IP.Board (3.dontknow) the IPs from search engines were identified and in the list of guests online you would sometimes see "Google" or "Bing". Is there some way or plugin to add this to 4.5 as well? It was very usefull to understand whether all these guests are actually people or just robots.

Morning all. I run a small mental health charity website and something we have found over the years is that when our community post and get a lot of topic views, but no or very few replies they take it personally. So we have always hidden the number of topic views from the forum index page in the 15 years we have used Invision. We only just updated to v4.5.4.2 and in the new version/theme I can no longer find the relevant piece of code I used to modify to remove the views.
