Does anyone know an easy way to inspect instance of an IPS class (vars/methods etc)? Basically I want to be able to print_r/var_dump/get_object_vars($classInstance) in the cloud hosted env. Example I am creating an "Add to calendar" button on event pages that will allow users to add events to their personal calendars (google, apple, outlook, etc...). This requires that I dynamically add event data. Up until now I have been looking at templates and trying to find the corresponding elements that render a given piece of data - e.g. $event->content(). There has to be a better way that is less of a stab into the dark... anyone have any thoughts!?

Is anyone having issues with embedding Facebook videos? All of a sudden, none of my FB videos show up in my articles/posts. It will show the FB post but the video itself does not. I tried embedding a FB video here as well and it does not work. So at least I know it's not an issue just on my end. Could it be that FB changed the way they allow videos to be embedded and IPS needs to update this? Here is a sample video embed and how it's currently showing up without the video: Can anyone try a FB video embed on their site and see if it's working for them by just copying and pasting the video URL?

I've went through the warnings and restrictions guide but couldn't find the answer I was looking for. When a moderator issues a warning that has points attached to it, those points have an "expiration date". However, when you set up an action - this action ALSO has an "expiration date". So the question is - what "wins"? For example: We have the warning system set up so that if you get 3 point, you're getting moderated for 2 months. Matt got 3 warnings within 30 days. Each of those warnings had 1 point attached. Each point "expires" after 30 days. But, by the time matt got his 3rd point, his 1st point was about to expire after one week. Does …

Hi everyone, in the past version of IP.Board (3.dontknow) the IPs from search engines were identified and in the list of guests online you would sometimes see "Google" or "Bing". Is there some way or plugin to add this to 4.5 as well? It was very usefull to understand whether all these guests are actually people or just robots.

Morning all. I run a small mental health charity website and something we have found over the years is that when our community post and get a lot of topic views, but no or very few replies they take it personally. So we have always hidden the number of topic views from the forum index page in the 15 years we have used Invision. We only just updated to v4.5.4.2 and in the new version/theme I can no longer find the relevant piece of code I used to modify to remove the views. I know its linked with user device location, but that's causing many ppl to punch UAE address when their device shows UK or US as in UAE while installing new OS many people use UK or US english than UAE as many are non Arabic speakers. Hope there is a way out from this to set a default country to UAE by script edit or database edit etc. This is impacting us a lot and so far 3 users reported so we had a chance to explain but 100's pending invoices generated - god knows coz of billing error or abandoned cart (usual behaviour). Hello everyone, I'm wanting to connect Mailchimp to my cloud hosted IPS. Mailchimp gave me some code to add to verify the site. Asked support, they said something about adding to templates. I'm also aware of this plugin below, but starting to see renewal costs go up. (and Im not sure if it's necessary) Simply put - I just want to: A. Verify my domain with MailChimp B. Hi guys.....I can't seem to figure this one out. A member has reported seeing the forum view looking very odd.....so he have me a screenshot which I've included here. It seems to have only 2 view selectors instead of 3......and the layout looks totally different. I've experimented with a few different viewing options but there's no way I can replicate the screenshot. It's the latest IPB, PHP 7.4, Lenovo laptop using Firefox. Any ideas?

I find the drop down for the emoticons/emojis quite slow to load. I only have 6 custom ones, there's literally hundreds of default ones by IPB, can I reduce these? Is anyone else having a similar problem? It seems okay on here.

I have finally got my test install working sort of, after hours of trying to figure out why. However, it is returning some issues, I don't have some of the symbols on the test forum or AdminCP like these pictured: Images like avatars etc are all fine. I also have an error about Data Storage, it said a few directories were not CHMOD 0777, so I changed them. These were Applications, Upload/Logs, Datastore and another I think. These all appeared to be fine with the exception of the datastore one, my admincp and forum test pages both go all garbled as soon as this one is done. I am implementing the IPB REST API into a C++ program that runs on the customer's computer. This program runs without the use of a web browser. This is meant to provide a mechanism to check software licenses. I have a strange issue with a database field that contains a YouTube video ID. I am displaying the field like this: {$record->customFieldDisplayByKey('video','display')|raw} The resulting HTML code starts off like this: <div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo" contenteditable="false" style="width:640px;max-width:640px;height:390px;"><div> Notice the width is hard-coded into the element at 640px. I'd like to embed a page from the website (namely chatbox) into a google apps script, and then embed the google script onto my site. There are a couple problems I'm running into. 1st in the sites admin cp, when I allow embedding on a specific offsite domain (*.script.google.com) it won't allow me to embed chatbox. However if I select the 3rd radio option "allow embedding in all offsite domains", which is not recommended, it allows it. Hello to whomever may stumble upon this! I work for a small organization that doesn't have the capacity to support a self hosted solution but still needed to extend upon the base functionality of the website. This means I don't have access to the developer console - as a result I have been experimenting over the last month or so with development on the cloud hosted version. I have all my sites on the same server and just upgraded them to 4.5. I have an odd issue where upon page refresh, I lose the border and styling around the editor and some styling in post view template as well So in the default theme it should be like: refresh the page, ends up like this with no border: I thought it was a theme issue since I have custom themes, but its happening on the default theme. I've disabled redis, zlib, and zend opcache, but still same issue. Turned off cloudflare to test as well. Something on my server is causing this I think. When viewing search results, the thumbnail preview for gallery items are now much smaller after upgrading to 4.5. The thumbnail file itself (e.g. if I click 'open image in new tab' on the thumbnail) hasn't changed size, but thumbnail images are being displayed at a smaller size in search results. I was wondering if anybody could please point me in the right direction of what code to look for to change the default/maximum width of thumbnails in search results. Thanks.

Dear Invision Community, Due to our external identity management, we are using an "Other OAuth 2.0" Method as an identity provider. So far everything is fine. Now we would like to map custom parameters from our identity management to custom fields in Invision Community. For example: Name of field: "Country" Input: "Germany" or "United Kingdom" This filed should be updated every time a user sign in. Is it possible to get this implement? Is there a documented way or is it a customization? Thank you!
