We have this strange request few times, when some member leaves us and they don't want to delete their account for preserving content but want to disable all notifications. Is there a way, we can switch off all notifications for certain members from AdminCP?

Hi everyone, I quite cannot find how to easily ignore someone (hide his/her posts in the topics), especially on the mobile version. On the desktop version of IPB, hovering over the user's nickname displays a pop-in window, where I can find an option allowing me to ignore them. On the mobile version, on the other hand, I cannot figure out how, and did not find any documentation about this. I could not find an "Ignore" option directly on the user's profile, which would have been useful on the mobile version (Firefox / Chrome for Android). Hi there, I recently upgraded my test-install to version 4.5.4 and started installing my previously purchased apps and plugins. If I understood correctly, starting with version 4.5 there are no manual downloads from the marketplace from this site, I have to use the marketplace-integration in the acp of my forum. But how can I review the code that is now running on my server? I have to know what it does to the server and to the data of the users. Somebody has to be responsible in the end and IPS states clearly that they are not responsible for any damages. Hi there, I am using a theme and at the top there is the name of my community. I am not seeing a place to turn this off anywhere in the theme settings, so I am assuming this is a setting within the Invision backend. Any ideas on how to turn it off so that there is no text over the girl's face? Thank you!

Can you send a message to all members that RSVPed to an event? For example you want to share the online meeting link just before the event starts, but only with the people who clicked RSVPed as 'going'. Is this possible without messaging each member separately? Ive had a play on my own forum and had a look around the Invision Communuity forum but cant find how to do this. Thanks in advance for your wisdom.

Hello, I am fairly new to IPS and I am loving so far after switching from Xenforo. However, I am having one issue. With Xenforo, I was able to set a node to be viewed by members, however other members topics were unable to be seen unless they were of a certain user group. Is that possible with IPS or am I just missing something? Thank you for your time.

Our forum is from 1998 and have been converted from original UBBThreds(1998-) to SMF(2012-) and then to IPS (2018-). When our members write a PM almost every time they also get a message from before 2012 in the conversation. My best guess is that there are some tags that is beeing mixed up and since we have converted several times, the error could be old. Is there a way to delete PMs from before 2013? Just cutting the line to the old forums PM-data?

Hello, I currently have a WordPress blog with over 400 articles. I also use the forums, blogs and downloads from IPS. WordPress and IPS each have their own domain name. I created a plugin that automatically syncs WordPress users with IPS members. For convenience, I wonder if it would be a good idea to switch from WordPress to IPS Pages for the blog part and only use IPS. I have advanced use of WordPress. Is there a way to have the PM inbox have its conversations be unique to the participants? In other words, I don't want the same user to be able to start 45 different conversations with me. It should always be the same conversation between the two of us. This is historically how all forum software I've interacted with operates and I find it preferable to the many conversations between the same users. Thanks in advance!

I see in the databases -> field section of the admin panel a note that indicates you can use something like the following: {$row->customFieldDisplayByKey('my-key', 'listing')|raw} I have no idea where these methods are documented? Can someone point me in the right direction? The developer docs are like "how to" guides... I'm looking for the actual API documentation and I have never had such a hard time finding API references. Hello, as a paid licensed user or IP I would personally thank you for this great software, help and time. I´m looking for an add-on which makes topics content only available via spending points. People (users of the forum) buy those points from "Store" and spend on topics they want to see the content of. To explain better I attached a few of screenshots. The forum said that I have dangerous PHP functions enabled. I opened the message and thought they would be listed there. But NO! Then why the message? It carries no information in this form. I've been developing a splash-page slideshow (all CSS) as a first encounter for people who visit my base URL. From that page, they can then click through to the main Invision site. So, first visitors who enter/click the base URL go to, say, www.mysite.com/splash, and they can then click through to www.mysite.com/welcome (the main Invision site). My problem is this: since my splash page is configured in Pages and set to be the default page for the main folder, whenever I click my site logo or the Home button I'm sent back to the intro slideshow, which is tedious to say the least. On 4.5.4, I've an established, reputable member who posted a reply to a topic and it needs approval, simple enough, but I have no idea why! I've never had this happen before. The member reported their post wondering why it wasn't appearing as normal. There are no links in the post, no bad language. I must be visually impaired, there must be a reason stated somewhere, surely, but I can't see it in the post area or in the moderator CP., aside from it being listed for approval. Any idea where the reason is mentioned? Thank you.

Essentially what I want to do is utilize the Blogs application as our content management system (guides, resources, documentation etc...). Is it possible to rename "Blogs" to something else like "Resources"? I understand that Blogs are DB entities and that this could intentionally not be feasible but if there is a way to just change the display name of the app I would love to know how. Thanks!

hello I change new domain . and get new Licensed URLs. change the 'base_url' => in "conf_global.php" the homepage and admincp'page work fine but I click any link on the homepage show me Not Found The requested URL was not found on this server. Hello everyone, I am struggling with searches on IPS. It seems that there is a three charts limit (which is fine, I read it can be changed in MSQL). The problem I am having is that I'm using special charts like # in the posts names and whenever there is a # the characters behind it are ignored so I can't find post names like #VAL. The post name is Valero Energy #VLO, and most members will use #VLO since it's the symbol for that stock. Other examples are Facebook #FB, Netflix #NFLX... If I type in NFLX, the topic will be found. If I type #NFLX it won't be found. Is there a way to include # in the searches or is it being used as a wildcard for something in IPS s…
