I'm currently testing IPS4 on my local dev environment and there are a couple of things I am missing. Perhaps I just couldn't find them.. Here's the list Forum stats. Where are they? I'm talking about "Who's online" and "Latest members" and "Member Statistics".IPS Connect slave callback url. Currently IPB assumes that the slave is always an instance of IPB and calls back to the ipsconnect.php file on the slave url. Is there a way to explicitly state what the end point url should be for the slave application? Otherwise I would have to make all these unnecessary directories and create a new ipsconnect.php file to handle all the API requests.Is there a way to delete ips co…

Would be handy if we could get a person back into a conversation if they have left. Inviting the person back doesn't seem to have worked, it still shows him as "left the conversation". This issue was prompted by one of our newsletter writers that obviously mistakenly deleted the PM, but now when I've updated new assignments he isn't getting the message because he isn't part of the conversation. At this point I'm going to have to start a new thread, just so I can update him, but it would be great if there was an easier way in the future of being able to re-add someone that left, that was part of the original conversation.

While perusing our 4.0 test site I have put up, and working with "Blocks" and such, I don't know if there already is a way and if there is, I'd appreciate a recommendation. Or here is a suggestion, while configuring the blocks for page content they leave our page with an empty feel, showing mainly text but for member avatars. I feel there should be a way to allow admin during the "Manage Blocks" stage to allow images and introduction text to be displayed in the feeds. For example, the "Latest Topics", it would be really nice and beneficial to allow admin to be able to configure the block for "Introduction Text" and "Allow First Image" to display in the "Latest Topics" fee…

I found this section interesting and useful, but it seems to have disappeared? Are all the old questions and answers removed forever or moved? If the latter, where are the redirects? My question was: "Given the IPS team work remotely, what internal tool do they use to keep track of suggestions/ideas for future versions?"

I have an archive forum that is set to be read-only. Sometimes I'll be moving entire forum sections into it (Q&A forums mostly). Is there any way to disable the displaying of subforums on the forum index? That list will eventually get pretty long and I don't want that..

The "continue" button after uploading images in IP.Gallery is unnecessary, and another click. When I'm uploading a large amount of photos, I sometimes let the uploading run in the background and the "continue" button should be skipped and go directly to the image editing. I also wish there was a stronger notice (either with a sound, or something in the favicon) to signify the uploading is finished.

After you upload a file in IP.Downloads, you're asked to "Enter File Information" to edit the file's title, description, version, tags, etc. You should make the process and layout similar to IP.Gallery images, where you click through each image. I find it strange that you offer a vertical layout in IP.Downloads but a sequential layout in IP.Gallery. It's not consistent across those two applications.

There was an option in 3.4 in the permissions per categories (when creating a category) to override approvals. This would allow admins and superadmins (or whomever) to be able to bypass the comment approvals, or file approvals, or review approvals, etc.

When you create a category in virtually any app (IP.Gallery or IP.Downloads), you are not allowed to default sort by Alphabetical A-Z. Why would I want this? .... better question, why wouldn't I want this? This should be one of the pre-built choices.

Every time I go to Client Lounge or forums with Pinned topics, I read the damn pinned topic title. It's kind of irritating. If the pins are aligned on the left, you can go to the first post in the forum immediately. Does that mean they get ignored? I don't think so... some other differentiation to see something is new in the thread fixed that. Or just highlight them differently.

In the Bug Tracker, why not add a count in the Statistical Definitios box, to say how many of each category there are? May be very useful for example to gauge readiness/stability from an Admins perspective of a version on a live environment. Regards.

I would love if there were a way to change my ad offerings if the user is using a mobile device. Overall on a mobile device 4.0 looks great, but my ads are fixed sized and ruins the look. Possibly a toggle switch in the ad setup to allow on mobile then we could set ads to/not to appear on mobile.

Hey guys, I don't know for sure, but I can't be the only one looking for this.. We have some overview pages linking to more detailed information pages. And it is kinda weird if the user has to go back to the frontpage, navigating again to the overview page and then go to the next information. Why isn't there a setting to create tier 1 pages or parent page (overview) with the possibility to create a tier 2 or subsidiary page and generate a breadcrumb.. Or is there a possibility to do so and I am just blind.

Hi, i've just upgraded to 4.0.3. All is going fine (i think), it is taking ages to perform the background tasks (more than a million posts), i suppose it will take about more one day or two, but till now it seems ok. I have one issue though. The "Latest Topics" widget (which is fundamental for me) takes ages to load. With it my main page takes about 7-8 seconds to load. Without it is almost imediate. How can this be? With 3.4.x i had it and i had no problem whatsoever... Alternative suggestions?

Hi, We recently installed IP.Board 4.0.3 on our board, and one of the most annoying features of IP.Board 4 so far is the auto convertion of a thread link into a small summary of the thread you are linking to. This also happens when a thread link is added on to text, in which case the text is all removed, and replaced with the thread summary. We have several threads with lists of links to importan threads, and these are now all quite a mess. I'm really hoping that this either is something that can be disabled in future releases, or at the very least should not be done for text with a link to another thread.

@Rikki: could you consider having the breakpoints for responsive be definable with a theme setting in default skins? Otherwise I either have to copy all the CSS-rules within the core_responsive.css etc. into my own responsive CSS (and not include the default responsive) or change all the values within all the places where the responsive breakpoints are used. So wouldn't it be better if we could set these breakpoints from a theme setting? One for tablet and one for mobile.

The setting for Image view (download) count under image thumbnails in the forums??I am trying to get this working in IP4. Is there any way to make a group invisible, so that only admins and people in it know it exists? I'm using IPS 4.0 to build a suite for a charity for which my wife and I both volunteer as trustees. One of the features is a Pages database to help the trustees keep track of their work tasks, and we thought it might be nice to have such a thing set up for ourselves in our private lives too, since I'm really, really, shockingly disorganised and she's too busy to micro-manage me. The only thing is that we want privacy, so we'd have to set up a member group with just us two in it and make the database only visible to us.
