A few months ago after upgrading to 4.4.x I had a problem with Memcached. Cron jobs stopped working, and in the system logs began recording in every minute - "BadMethodCallException:...from Memcached". After a lengthy analysis of my ticket, Matt advised me to switch to Redis. This then solved the issue. Before several hours, I switched my site to PHP 7.3.3. Everything worked correctly. When reviewing all the ACP functions, I noticed I should replace the command in a Cron jobs with a new addressing to ea-php73. For several hours with php 7.3.3 everything worked correctly with a command to ea-php72. After changing Cron command, the same thing happened as with Mem…

I applied this option: After the first post in each topic Then it appear in all topics, including all special forums and clubs. Due to the clubs and some forums are specials, After the first post in each topic, should be let us to choose which forums we want to applied it, or which forums will be excluded.

We're really not liking the way that the theme installations are working in 4.5, given that it seems to neglect the ability to work on a theme in a development environment. It is essential for us to ensure that our themes (and CMS) are running properly after each update. Before doing anything on our live, we get everything sorted on our development install and then move it to our live. However, the changes in 4.5 and the way one adds a theme has made this a bit of a nightmare. Hi, I am using club to group customers who are suscribed some service, so in this club we need disable the Leave option for club members. The Leave action only available for moderators and leaders. Or say, only Leader or moderators can use Leave to kick out a member, member can not leave themselve.

Hi, I would really love an option to add author bio on blog posts. It's a crucial thing for SEO now. Here is an article about it https://www.contentpowered.com/blog/seo-optimize-author-bio/ I think it can look really cool on IPS blog and doesn't need much changes. Ofcourse it can be done optional 🙂

If one request times out in the JS upgrader, it falls back to the considerably slower HTML-based upgrader. Could there not be some logic to retry the request a couple of times, ideally with a bit of backoff (if it's an nginx or transport layer error it's probably a timeout, and retrying will then hit the case where the task is already done), rather than making the upgrade experience suck? At worst, the HTML upgrader shouldn't have delays between redirects - as soon as the response comes back it is ready to receive another request. It's reasonably easy to work around by just deleting the mr parameter from the URL, but that relies on me paying attention to the upgrader…

In the admin member section under Devices and Locations, the user is located on a map... but it always defaults to the street level so I have to scroll out to get a point of reference (like what state or country they are in). In a future release could there be a way to change the default magnification?

One thing I miss are infinite fields. A field where I can add new versions as I see fit for example for adding projects to a CV database or products to a business listing. Instead of having multiple custom fields that you either don't use or need more of, you can create a field set. The field set works like a sub-database so you can define the fields in the set just as you would a normal database. When creating an entry you can add a field set using a plus sign. Then another and another...as many as you need. Each time you add another field set you add a new entry in the sub-database and connect it to the original database. In a sense this is like adding th…

We were using CleanTalk to block and prevent spammers and it was working very well for us until IPS upgraded to version 4.5 and the plugin then needed to modified into an Application instead of a Plugin. I'm not sure what all is involved but it looks like CleanTalk is struggling with making it work with IPS 4.5x I don't know about the rest of you but with using CleanTalk we probably got about 2 spammers a week that got through. Now with CleanTalk gone we are slowly creeping back up and at times now get a dozen spammers getting through every day. I think one thing that IP.Board has been lacking in the past is an easier way to manage user groups. As new permissions are added in new versions, it becomes rather time consuming to update every user group to ensure these are set how we'd like, especially for anyone running a board with 10+ groups. It would be great if we could just have each group (optionally) inherit permissions from another group, and the ability to leave a permission blank in order to inherit it from the parent group. Right now, the only way to get anything close to this would be to assign tons of secondary groups, but in the end I think that just makes it more confusing to manage everything.
