Hi, With the default group for moderator I'm able to set which forums they can moderate - but when I try adding a second moderating group, or try adding an individual member as a moderator I don't get this option in the ACP>Staff>Moderators - change to restricted - option. Is this something that can be changed somewhere so that I can set other groups or members to moderate only particular areas? Thanks very much for any help given

I am trying to customize friendly URLs in ACP. I have installed the application Links Directory and would like to change "links" to "sites". I have changes the index page of application without issues. Then I have tried to change a link for the single item. The result is weird. When I save the form above I get "links" and "sites" in the same url. However I need _http://myhost.com/sites/show/id-?? Exactly what I have entered in the form above. What is wrong?

I'm an Android man so aren't that au faux with this but will iPhone users on iOS 11 are posting images from their phones and they are coming up as links rather than image embeds. Is there a way to fix this please?

I migrated from Vbulletin 5 to IPS. I notice that Search engines see topics with a 301 redirect. I also realize if I remove the converter (uninstall) then those redirects would be lost and it could have an effect if other sites are linking to my site. However, with the 301 redirects, and with so many of them that are not linked to, and as they are showing up with a 301 will this not have an adverse effect in the search engines since some link juice is lost? Point being if there are limited sites linking to mine would it be better to uninstall the converter and let Google index these with a 200 response rather than a 301?

I work on rather large communities. We are talking about communities with 20+ million posts. Every now and then on upgrades I encounter this issue with gateway timeouts during the upgrade because the query to count the number of rows in the posts-table takes forever. Ironically; one example of why it may count rows in the posts table is when it counts the number of rows in order to decide whether it should tell me to run a manual query to avoid timeouts or not... I changed some things about how my ads are served, and noticed that banners would not show up until I deleted my cookies. I suspect that the banner are not showing up for my regular visitors due to this issue. Is there a way to force a new cookie...make the expiration shorter to clear this up?

Good evening, I am testing a migration from Vanilla to IP Board on my localhost XAMPP setup. The conversion runs smoothly (using the 2.2x / 2.3x converter application) until I reach the step to convert the posts. Hello, I am attempting to upgrade from 4.3.5 to 4.3.6. I do not have FTP/SFTP open on our server, so I need to perform this update manually. I have downloaded the .zip file of the new update, uncompressed it, and attempted to upload it to our site. Everything is uploaded and in the correct directories. I am having issues displaying ads properly at what I believe are 3 different screen resolutions (my current ads use 2, and it is causing issues). I want to select a single image in a block fed from a gallery category and put it on my site sidebar. Easy to set up but when it displays using the default template the portrait orientation thumbnails are horribly cropped. How do I fix this so that the cropping isn't so severe? Or even better, not cropped at all?

I can't figure this one out. On the default view on the calendar, in any view (month, day week, stream), I can not see the side bar. I'm on a desktop now so ... when I resize the window to smaller window, the side bar appears. Then I go to full view... the side bar still is active and when I go to another calendar view (month, day week, stream) the side bar still is active. I must of set-up that side bar on calendar sometime?? Where at??? What setting is causing that?? or am I just losing my mind?? I would love to have the side bar show ALL THE TIME on the calendar. thanks for any help

So recently IPS integrated SendGrid support for email. I figured a baked in feature was cleaner than using a third party so I opened a $10 a month account and switrched over to sendgrid. Worst decision ever. Seems that unless you spring for a dedicated IP their base premium IP pool is highly compromised. Multiple blocks of their IP addresses with both gmail and yahoo. I contacted their support and the only real resolution is paying $100 a month for a dedicated IP address. So please save yourself the headache and stay far away from sendgrid.
