Is it possible to reject validating members whose IP addresses resolve to a specific country? Either a setting or a plugin? We've been bombarded with spam accounts over the last couple weeks who all manage to get past the email verification, the captcha, and the question/answer challenge to get fully registered. All of them from the same country.

If i enable that feature in one forum, our register page is allways like this: User comes to site. Clicks Register. Gets text "Thanks for your submission. Before your content can be seen by other members, we need to create an account for you.". What submission? That text should be there only if post before register, not allways, right? Please dont tell me this is a feature,

Hello, We've seen recently strange behaviors in member reputation, members were complaining about the counts that weren't increasing. Then it seemed to work again. So just to be sure I launched a recount on a few accounts, and saw that the counts were in fact a bit overrated (big ones losed something like 5-10 %). I then launched a global recount, same behavior on most of them, but at last the counts now seem correct. My question is : how can I plan a periodic recount of reputation (and maybe also contents) ? I don't see a dedicated task in the admin CP, maybe it's already managed by an existing one ?

Is their a possibility to let a user post on the forum but make the posts he makes only visible to himself and not to other users / guests? I am aware this is a strange question but it's a strange situation and I'm afraid this is the only possibilty at the moment. Thanks in advance!

It seems all URLs are written with relative protocol (like this: //example.com/loremipsum), and I believe this is messing with my attempts to use PageSpeed. Is there any easy way to force all URLs, including those in posts and other content, to be written with the full protocol?

Is it possible to integrate IPS with YouTube for video attachments by members? Seems less than ideal to store videos on my hosting server or on Amazon S3 when I could use a YouTube page to house all that storage for free and auto-embed the videos members upload and post in the forums. Has anyone had any success in an automated solution for this? Right now, I'm left with manually downloading, uploading to YouTube and deleting the local video if I want to use this approach. I do realize this leaves the content in YouTube's control/possession, but in the case of high viewership there is monetization potential with YouTube (and you could always keep a local copy of t…

I recently added a pages homepage to my site, and I have members asking if it is possible to set it up so that they do not see the homepage but rather go directly to the forum. My short answer to them was just bookmark the forum url. But for curiosity is this even possbile for logged in members to bypass the home page when they visit the site?

Is there any way to set the sorting order of albums in all categories by "ID"? I made myself a custom converter from my old-website and imported all my albums keeping all their original IDs. On my previous platform all albums were sorted by "creation date", but now every time I upload something it comes on top as first, messing up all the chronological order. Any suggestions?

I upgraded my main site from 4.3.6 to 4.4.1 using the full package zip download earlier today. Once all tasks had completed, I enabled Lazyloading and it took what seemed forever to rebuild about 1.5 hours), despite my cloud VPS server having access to 48 unlocked available CPU's and 6GB of RAM. It may be because my files are hosted on S3/Cloudfront. I noticed it said on the progress bar about 122,000 files, but it got to around 95,000 and it just suddenly completed as I was looking at it. Hello friends. I made some application, where I have some text and image fields in one Content Item. Text fields are localizable with default \IPS\Helpers\Form\Translatable form. But I need to have localizable images (load different by language images for one Content Item). Yes, I can create additional rows like image_en, image_cs, image_pl and etc.. But it will out of the standard language flow, where I can simply add/remove new languages and the form will accept it. Hope somebody (or IPS) will help me with any hint. I don't want to write bad code or reinvent the byke. Thanks!

Hi, I wanted to split off some posts into an existing topic, after selecting the posts to move over to the new thread, it would tell me "You do not have permission to moderate that topic". Obviously as the admin, I should have permission to do whatever I want. Anyone else run into this issue? I'm not even sure how to even try fixing it.

Hi, I'm using an expression to put the members group Id into a JS variable, which is causing an issue with emoticons from loading. I'm wondering if there is a way to hide or make a certain member group invisible from the general community. Our non-profit works with patients and family members and also medical professional members. We have set up a private group for our medical professional members. I realize that the private setting makes it so the group is essentially hidden from the community unless a member is invited to join it however we may wish to change the setting to a closed group in the future to decrease workload on staff and allow members to request to join the group. I recently added a new storage configuration with a new custom URL (cdn.example.com). I moved all files, including attachments, from the old storage configuration (content.example.com) to the new. However, attachments in (some) posts are still pointing to the old URL, returning in a 304 error as the files have all been moved.
