Hi guys in a bit of a pickle moved server got the front end of pages to load all ok but when clicking through to forums or other pages it gives a 404. I have pages as the default application I am wondering whether its to do with friendly urls? Any ideas where to look first? thanks Steve

I want to offer a free subscription to those who have posted X number of articles in the database or posts. Is there a way I can pull a list of members with a breakdown of content count next to their names? (articles, posts, comments, etc)? Currently I can only find this data IF I go member by member, and click on content. For example, I can't see how many database records someone has done. When i go to the database in ACP, and choose database / "Manage Records", there is no sortable field for "members". (only title, date and category). Is anyone interested in developing a utility tool for this? Thanks.

Over the years we have installed so many plugins. And hacked away at our forum. Is it possible to basically install a fresh version of IPS and import all forum, user and post content? So we basically all the important user and community data but with a nice clean and shiny install of IPS?

I moved to a different server yesterday, some people can't access the site. They say they get a permission error or a 404 error. I changed the name servers early Friday morning, some say they still can't access the site today, it should have propagated by now, no? It's not a trick or gimmick to get you to join, but since this is an international site, could I impose on a few of you to see if you can access it? I own an IPB 4.4 community with around 5000 topics (not sure whether this is relevant, though). As this is a french-speaking community, topics' titles may contain special characters. Database is on a MariaDB 10.2.6 container, with all varchar columns on a utf8mb4_unicode_ci character set. Good morning everybody, what I am trying to do is, I want to assign a theme to an application. So when I go to page xy, the theme changes to ID2 and when I go back to the forum or whatever, it automatically switches back to the standard theme, for example ID1. Usually this is no problem and works fine when I simply add \IPS\Theme::switchTheme(2); to the Application.php, but in this case it's not possible, because the file is cubed. I already tried and searched the forums but sadly didn't get it to work properly yet. Don't know if it's the conditional (\IPS\Dispatcher::i()->application->directory === 'theapp') or an issue with my hook settings at all. …

From "manual" I need to remove only one line from method, аll other code does not change. Real example - code hook for \IPS\core\modules\front\system\notifications, manage() method, remove code \IPS\Db::i()->update( 'core_notifications', array( 'read_time' => time() ), array( '`member`=?', \IPS\Member::loggedIn()->member_id ) ) I can't call the parent method because update() will work. I can't not copy the code to hook because I need the functionality of the parent method. How do you do this without violating these rules?

Hey there, When a user first logs in, they're asked to complete their profile with the progress bar. Love that. However, when I tested it out... I would complete the first step in the profile process... when I clicked "next" to go to the next step, it would take me back to the main page of my forum without getting any closer to completing the process. Any idea why that could be happening?

Hello, I have the option enabled where guests can comment before registration, but on Articles, their comments show without having to register. It just simply allows them to comment without an account or asking them to register. Hey all i am having issues with fields in the database not showing as i changed my language. Should the dafualt lang_id be 1 As it seems to show here as 0 or am i missing something? Things like form names show on the front end but not in the databse unless i go into the forums and click save it then seems to populate the databse with the correct info. (i have now removed the additional langauge i added an donly have one language which is dafualt and UK english. Is there any way to refresh the database to pull in the field into for the forums, reactions, user filds etc.? Like i say it all shows fine on the front end its the database that…

I made a support ticket #43321 about data-attributes not showing up in pages using custom wrapper. I am very aware any modifications doesn't constitute support, however I thought maybe if using only the default custom wrapper with no changes maybe support is there? Our site's current page speed score is terrible. The exact score varies, but it's between a 2 and an 8 on mobile most times. I think the biggest culprits of the slowdown are the large CSS files that IPS loads (framework.css, responsive.css, cjmg.css, mega.css, traditional.css, block.css, cjmg_custom.css, core.css, core_responsive.css, page.css, custom.css) and JS that IPS loads (root_library.js, root_js_lang_1.js, global_core.js, plugins.js, front_menus.js, front.js, global.js, front_app.js, root_map.js). None of those files are related to our theme as far as I know. Any ideas on how we can reduce the number of these that we have to load? Or at least have some …

Hello, I wonder if IPB offers a Facebook-like feed where people can see the latest community update (like the streams or "all activity" tab) but including reaction buttons. user statuses, photos, as well as instant comments on those posts?

So an Admin of mine apparently tried to rename a discussion forum or category, after doing that ALL of the forums disappeared. As in the forum is blank. The weird thing is that the forums, posts, and topics all appear in the database and all appear okay. What is also weird is that you can even see the missing forums when you use the site search feature to find them, but they throw an error if you try to access them. Has anyone had something like this happen on their board? What is also weird is that I can create new forums and posts just fine. I don't see any obvious errors as it appears that the forum is working fine for new posts. All other features are working, its alm…

Hey Guys, so the european high court has ruled that all cookies that are not technically necessary are to be disabled until a user consents. There's one cookie within the IPS Suite that's a problem: the reCAPTCHA "NID" Tracking Cookie by Google. (KeyCaptcha has similar cookies...) As I cannot disable a captcha mechanism I am wonderhin how you guys handle this... Thanks 🙂

Hey Guys, so local law dictates that users need to be able to unsubscribe from newsletters with a simple process. Is there a feature within IPS that allows just that? I have a community with over two decades of users, many of them recieve newsletters (~1-2 times a year) but don't even know their account password so they cannot unsubscribe... Thanks 🙂

hi, i wonder is there a way to change the behavior when a file is uploaded to Downloads system by adding a link to a file (as opposed to uploading the file) and when a user clicks download link he is then taken to offsite download page in the same window making him leave my site. can this be done is it is opened in a new tab instead?
