Posted February 7, 20205 yr Hello, I have the option enabled where guests can comment before registration, but on Articles, their comments show without having to register. It just simply allows them to comment without an account or asking them to register. Is there a way to either: Disable the option for guests to comment on Articles or They can comment, but are asked to register Thank you! https://www.breatheheavy.com/exhale/index.php?/news/kesha/breaking-judge-rules-kesha-defamed-dr-luke-r9/
February 7, 20205 yr There is a bug at least with reviews on articles, where guests are allowed to review without registering. Permissions are not respected properly. I have reported this bug some weeks ago. I suggest you report this behaviour as well.
February 7, 20205 yr Are you running the recent version? This should be resolved in IPS 4.4.10 but the fix isn't retroactive, so any content created before the upgrade would be affected by this.

Yes I have had the latest version 🙂 So in theory it shouldn't be happening on these newer articles

Ticket #41793. Guests can review old and new content without registering. The reviews are published immediately after Submit. At the same time the checkbox for adding reviews by Guests cannot be even selected in the permission matrix. 😞
February 10, 20205 yr I've reopened the internal report - there may be some confusion, however it looks like testing the issue on 4.5 it could not be reproduced, so it may be 4.5 the issue is fixed in.
