Hi all. When I promote a forum post to 'Our Picks," all is perfect. In fact, I can post from any other module, and all is good. When I post from a Blog, the blog category shows up AND it adds multiple br breaks above and below. Any idea how to fix that? I've looked in templates and can't find it. Could this be a bug?

In Staff > Administrator If I modify Settings > Posting > Can manage general posting settings , the link in ACP Dissapear. I have posing in ACP I restrict permission only to "General posting tab" And link dissappears, and cann´t access to the other posting tabs.

Hi, So, i've been looking around and searching abit, and was wondering if this was already possible, or if anyone ever thought about making this possible, and if so, what would be the best way to get this done: I'm looking for a way to automatically load new comments into a topic. I know that currently while you're typing, a notification will pop-up, notifying you of new comments, that you can load after clicking a link, but i want the comments to be added continuously, without doing anything, except when i'm typing, then that pop-up will be fine. Any idea's?

Hello I have installed and tested Pages but when i set it 'default', forum links change, add /forums/ to links. com/topic/ to com/forums/topic/ But i want to save com/topic/ , is it possible? Because i want to use Pages just for showing LATEST TOPICS and STATS from Forum. That's all.

The option in server performance - Cache sidebar, header and footer blocks for a set amount of time. Is there a way to exclude some of the blocks from being cached?, For example exclude the whos online block from being cached so it up dates straight away. Is the topic feed cached? Thank you

I recently moved my forum over from InMotion to Cloudways, I was on 4.3.6 on my old host, and after bringing it over and trying to process the upgrade, I received the following error during Step 1 of the upgrade process: [[Template core/admin/system/upgradeDeltaThemeConflicts is throwing an error. For our off-road club we are looking for some way to track each off-road member performance, reviewed by admin/mod after each week drive. Input will be one liner, with date stamp and admin/mod name. This review should be only visible to admin/mod. Appreciate to hear some ideas to implement this, may be by adding some restricted fields in profile or by some existing mod/app (if any).

I'm trying to use the official Media Embed plugin from CKEditor: https://ckeditor.com/cke4/addon/embed The plugin installs fine, but when I attempt to paste in a URL, it fails - a dialog pops up saying it "failed to fetch content for the given URL". I've tried lots of URLs, both that use OEmbed (which I know is required) and those who do not, but nothing works. Any ideas? Related, I am trying to create a custom button that will accept multiple values - I seem to remember being able to do this with the old custom BBCode options in 3.4.x, but the custom editor button only allows {option} and {content}. Any ideas/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

We've got a couple of local listings on our website (dropzones and indoor tunnels for skydiving). We'd like to setup a similar way of serving content to airbnb, where we can geotarget content. "We noticed you are visiting from X, here's the dropzones close to your location" Wondering if anyone else has managed to achieve something similar with IBP, and the steps to going about it. There seems to be very little information available online as to achieving location based content serving, with most topics just covering geolocation marketing/ads. Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated.

Is there code I can add/modify to contacts.php to prevent the system from rebuilding a large database's search index? We are moving the database to a development machine in order to perform some testing on the database and members and the search rebuild kills the local performance. Thanks.

Hello, I've contacted Support however they've not been able to assist so they suggested posting in here instead. I've attached an image to help with my issue so hopefully that will help make things more clear. When viewing multiple lines (categories, forums etc.) it shows 2 shades to differentiate between the choices. Such as white, light grey, white, light grey etc. However, our users are finding it difficult to differentiate between the lines, so we want to make the light grey, ever so slightly darker. However we don't know how to do this, is anyone able to point us in the right direction. Many thanks

I'm working on integrating my website with IPS as a master and it goes well. However, if a user log in on the website, he's always redirected to the forum's main page. I'd like to redirect him to the same page he was browsing before logged in. I know that login has this hidden field containing reference link: <input type="hidden" name="ref" value="' . base64_encode(\IPS\Request::i()->url()) . '"> But it seems not working. Same story with logging out. Any tips?

On the site moderation page where you have access to all the IP addresses that a particular member has used, there is a link to each post or thread. As admin of our forum I can access that – but our moderating team are getting error messages and being told that they don't have the authority. I can't find the setting to allow them to have access. Can anyone help please?

Is there anyway possible to upgrade the post limitation to more than 255? When I go to ACP - Settings - Posting and try and change Maximum title length to more than 255 I get yelled at. Its super difficult for me to try and break up 4770 words... just looking for some help. It appears that the 255 character limitation applies to all posts no matter if its Articles, Blogs or Forums I run into the same issue.

I have a Jooma web (blog) in mysite.com and my forum IPS in mysite.com/forum Currently all the activity is in the forum, with much more importance than the blog that I have in the root. If I move the forum to the root and put the blog in mysite.com/blog, would it increase the popularity of the domain? What do you think?
