Hello, I have recently set up a test forum for my community which I plan on migrating to when it's all ready. It is currently running on 4.0, and has a converted forum database from 3.4 and then upgraded to 4.0. In IP Pages when I go to blocks and try create a custom block, no matter what I put in to the block details and content, it always fails and gives me an Error: EX1364 I have attached screenshots of the issue. I'm thinking it might be something to do with the read write permissions on a folder for IP content(pages)? If this is the case can I get some direction on which folders to CHMOD.

Apologies for creating another topic -- I'm running into a few issues whilst testing upgrading our forum to IPSv4. When I try to run the first sql query manually (to change 'current_controller' in *_core_sessions) I receive an error because the column doesn't exist (in fact it looks like the table doesn't exist at this point). Oddly, if I choose to try and run it automagically then the upgrader doesn't throw up any issues. I can run other queries manually and successfully. 1) Does anybody have any suggestions as to what might be causing this? 2) Also can somebody suggest why after a successful upgrade to v4 my database is literally half the size that it started with (abou…

Is possible to add a custom block that has the article view (exactly as the article mode for index pages)? I would like this custom block to display a list of records with their title, a truncated content field, main image and comment and view count. Is this possible?

We just upgraded to IPS 4 and found it's no longer possible to view/reply to statuses from the board index. Clicking replies takes you to the user's profiles. Is it possible to re-enable this, or is there a mod for this? We really miss this feature - not sure why it was removed. Finding that's the case with a lot of features in v4. Status commenting "on the fly" like twitter, facebook, etc. seemed to be the way forward, removing it I think is taking that feature a big step backward.

Hi, when I go admincp -> Customization -> Languages -> Create New i end up with a white page. The page shortly loads (picture) and ends up as a white page. Hello... I have contacted support (ticket 925496) but they don´t reply and my website it´s off one day... yesterday my host completed an import of three files to the database that the Invision Support told me (some problems after a vB4 to IPS4 conversion) and now my website it´s off, I can´t access to admin and can´t access to the page... I am a little disappointed with Invision because I think that this is a problem wich has been caused by this three files I said and my website it´s off one day, and they don´t say me nothing to solve. http://www.foroiphone.com

Hello, I upgraded to IPB4 a couple of weeks ago and have noticed quite a few guests reporting posts. This never happened with IPB3. Is this a setting somewhere in the ACP, and can I turn it off? Hi, i want to run a multi expression SQL statement from the SQL Toolbox. My goal is to create an event that runs periodically. I cannot insert it in the database as it seems SQL Toolbox is very limited and gives me an error saying there is an error in the statement. The thing is that this works as a charm through the MySQL command line. I cannot execute any of the statements individually as they need a variable. I do not want to create another plugin, app or anything, just to create this event. Howdy, I found how to change the date format for the calendar app, but not for all other apps in my IPS4 site. It's currently MM/DD/YYYY but here in Australia we use DD/MM/YYYY so I want to change it to avoid any confusion with my users. For example: Any ideas how I can do that? Many thanks!

Since updating our page views have plummeted. When the box comes up saying new replies if you click show replies does that count as a page view/thread view and if not why not? We have a linear thread which means everyone is always for 98% of the time on one thread. They will refresh that thread to look for new posts and just stay on it all day. Thanks!

Hi guys, I spoke to IPS about this and apparently there's no way to do this via the software, so I'm hoping someone here knows of an SQL query or something that I could use. Essentially, I want to nuke all signatures on my forum because when I updated from v3 to v4 the formatting of them all was messed up a bit. Some just look outright broken, while most merely have doubled-up whitespace where I guess the way the forum handles paragraphs/line breaks was changed. I have too many members for it to be viable to manually fix all this, so I'd rather just start again. Does anyone have any idea how to achieve this?

I want to use a library I found on Github in one of my plugins, but I am uncertain of the correct way to go about that. The library is structured as follows: lib-dir ->js-dir ->lib.js ->img-dir ->img1.png ->img2.png ->img3.png -> etc ... I see that there is a directory called 'dev/resources' in my plugin. I assume that everything should go in there. Correct me if that is the wrong assumption. So now my question is: how do I reference my library from my template hooks? I really only need to include the lib.js file, but that javascript file then includes the stuff from img-dir, so I don't want to break the established director…

So I am currently setting up a 4.0 forum which has a database from vbulletin5_connect converted to 3.4.8 and then upgraded to 4.0 I have come across two issues, another which I posted a thread about earlier today in which I was not able to add content blocks. https://community.invisionpower.com/topic/419605-cannot-create-custom-blocks-in-ip-pages-40/ I have now come across a new issue in AdminCP when I go to Member Groups and try edit a member group or add a new group.
