Invision Community 5: A video walkthrough creating a custom theme and homepage By Matt Thursday at 04:02 PM
Nathan Explosion Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 (edited) Starting this because they are likely to get lost in the other topic related to the refresh No more 'Create' button? Shame Client area - clicking "Our Community" is pointless, isn't it? (see first screenshot below) Title doing a "John Cena" behind the header (see second screenshot below) Edited September 14, 2021 by Nathan Explosion Adriano Faria, SUBRTX and Ehren 2 1
Adriano Faria Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Adding to the topic: + Create menu on mobile phone: The logo links to the main site when should link to the forums: Ehren 1
Adriano Faria Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Can you please place MARK SITE READ beside Client Area (in mobile devices) here: It’s really a lot of click to get there. Having to expand ACCOUNT is unnecessary.
Ocean West Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Can you please restore the Activity Stream to the top nav - now it's 3 clicks away. Ehren 1
Ehren Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 Thanks, I appreciate the feedback guys! @Nathan Explosion I've fixed the "Our Community" issue and the user panel is no longer John Cena-ing. The user area seemed a little crowded on laptops, so I guess the Create menu was removed for a more aesthetic reason rather than a functional reason. It gives the user area a little more breathing room and prevents the navigation from collapsing into unnecessary dropdown menus. If this is mentioned more often though, I'll be happy to revisit it 🙂 @Adriano Faria The create menu should now be working correctly on mobiles. I added a "home icon" to the mobile navigation bar which takes you back to the forum index page. I thought it might be confusing if the logo took you to different places depending on what page you were viewing. @Ocean West Nice suggestion - I've added your default Activity Stream to the "Our Community" dropdown menu. It'll be "Unread Content" by default, unless you've adjusted it for your account. Adriano Faria, AlexWebsites, IveLeft... and 1 other 3 1
Ocean West Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 Thanks @Ehren any chance you can blog and share that menu code at some point?
Ehren Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 There's quite a lot of code which goes into that header, but it's all just standard HTML, css and a small amount of javascript. It's not a header which can easily be implemented into the Invision Menu Manager though (the top navigation menu on this site is all static code - the dark blue bar is the only thing powered by the Menu Manager system), so I'm not sure how helpful a blog post would be unfortunately 😅
Ocean West Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 This has always been a point of mild contention where there is deviation between what is a customized versions of the same solution that we can't replicate, because there is no ACP check boxes to replicate such features.
Maxxius Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 Would love a tut on how you made this mega menu too!

Adriano Faria Posted September 17, 2021 Posted September 17, 2021 @Ehren, just found this in file view: The tabs appears in front of the user menu.
Marc Posted September 17, 2021 Posted September 17, 2021 What browser are you using there @Adriano Faria ?

Marc Posted September 17, 2021 Posted September 17, 2021 Thank you. I have added a report internally for this Adriano Faria 1
Ehren Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Thanks @Adriano Faria, all sorted! Adriano Faria 1
Luuuk Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 @Ehren I noticed that "Content View Behavior" got worser. In some topics a landing point is not on the post it should be. I think it happens only in topics with posted images. For example in this topic: no unread posts, "Take me to the latest comment" selected, on the forum listing clicking the date of your last post brings me a couple of posts above... The effect seems quite random. Adriano Faria 1

Adriano Faria Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 (edited) Yes, just happened again. See: It should go to the post above this one. Edited September 19, 2021 by Adriano Faria Attachment removed. Luuuk and SJ77 2
Ehren Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Yeah, that's actually an issue with the default theme too and is likely caused by images which cause the page to jump when they load. This is typically fixed by assigning width/height attributes to images, but I'm not sure how difficult this is to achieve with uploaded content. I'll mention it to the dev's to see if they have any suggestions. Luuuk 1

Chris Anderson Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 You might consider indicating the length and kind of support provided to ensure a customer knows exactly what they are purchasing.
Chris Anderson Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 (edited) You might consider creating a help guide for Integromat - Achieve more in less time with fewer people and add it to your sales pitch to broaden awareness of the service. Creating a blog post about it might not be a bad idea to. Edited September 19, 2021 by Chris Anderson

While the ACP is required to install resources, I still use the website version to keep up to date with new release and search for products. I used to check it all the time and used it much more often than opening Our Picks for example, which have a spot in the menu.
