Hello, Very recently I've noticed my site being massively crawled by a few select IPs. Mine is an academic/educational/research site so I know it 'aint gonna be YouTube popular, but when my online activity jumps to 300+ and 5+ pages of instances I know something's up! In my CPanel error log some of these IPs are hitting my site 2-3 times per second and trying all sorts of different ports. My site is very secure so I'm not worried about hacking, but I'm wondering if all these hits could cause performance issues. Just wondering how people here deal with this sort of thing? I simply ban the IP (or an IP range) but I'm sure there are other things that can be don…

After 4.3, I run the Sparkpost SMTP service. Sending emails takes quiet some time (like 10 hours) to 6300 recipients. We email everyone about once a week, i.e. 25.000 emails per month. We would need something quicker and consider Sendinblue SMTP with the dedicated IP plan (108€ per year), for a reliable service. Anyone with experience from Sendinblue? Or are there other reasonably priced alternatives with dedicated IP plans?

I am seeing slowness in posting new topics (multiple topics as a result of member clicking reload), sometimes new replies and warning members takes about 30 seconds. Might be a few more areas, but these are the ones that come to mind now... Looking for someone who would be willing to have a look at the issue and in return get a few dollars for it. Hi all, In phpMyAdmin there is an option called Analyze Explain at mariadb.org to output a query result (via a hideously long url) at http://mariadb.org/explain_analyzer/analyze/ However after running a query, using the Explain option, when I use the option to use Explain Analyser at MariaDB (I'm using 10.2) it always shows an empty box. I think phpMyAdmin is supposed to populate the field possibly using an API so you can run it for convenience but it never worked on previous versions when I was originally using mysql 5.6. Anyone ever got it to actually work or anyone know how to use this tool from phpMyAdmin, please? It mentions pasting output …

Installed Redis 4.0.9 on Centos 7.5, after configuring, Redis starts with no issues and seems to be working. However, after a while the site will go down with the error: Redis server went away 0. Getting this error when trying to run Redis after it fails: 'Could not connect to Redis at 127.0.0.1:6379: Connection refused.' Hi On my old forum I used xcache but its a bit outdated now and I don't think it supports php 7.2 just looking into installing redis, I know how to install the redis server but cannot find any info on Installing the Redis Extension for PHP 7.2 my server centos 6.9 final running multi php 5.6 and php 7.2 use php7.2 for IPB 4.3.1 forum. searched but cannot find much info, Please could someone point me in the right direction to install the extension? I recently updated to 4.3.x and I noticed that my database traffic seems to have doubled: The yellow one is the important one here. This is just measuring traffic between my MySQL server and my web server. If anything, with the addition of elasticsearch, I would have thought database traffic would have gone down. Is there some structural change that caused this? It's not necessarily bad, but it is a pretty significant increase and I would like to have an idea of the culprit.

I have been having a problem for a while but it is very weird. The following is a log from slow queries log. When almost everything seems fine, once a day, I experience this slow query. It happens when I click on "New Content" button and only after it has been a while since I last visited. When I click it second time it does not happen and new content displays very quickly. I have checked my slow queries log and it seems only I am (index_author=2) expriencing this issue. Hi all, Over the past few weeks I've been ocassionally getting an email that about a suspicious process (the cron job for Invision). I've ignored it but over the past 24 hours I've been getting the email every 5 minutes. Is this something I should be worried about? Is the cron job failing or is it just a warning? Just did a speed test this morning and noticed something unusual. Seems that our forum has a redirect a zip file. https://redirector.gvt1.com/edgedl/widevine-cdm/1.4.8.1008-win-x64.zip I did a search and I am seeing that it is either to do with Google Widevine CDM or it is malware infestation on our server?

I've been going through what is hopefully a phase where I'm trying to make the site as quick as possible. My goal is to make it as fast as the Invision Community site, though that might not be possible because of all of the images and custom theme on my site. Our site recently started having issues with PHP-FPM. The forums become unreachable, but logging into the server doesn't show any obvious services pegged at high CPU. Restarting PHP-FPM or Apache seems to fix the problem. Turning off PHP-FPM on the site seems to resolve the issue as well, but we obviously want to keep using PHP-FPM for performance if we can. Additionally, the issue appeared before we switched from 4.2 to 4.3, so it doesn't appear related to the upgrade or switching to elasticsearch. Hi, I have an issue - deleted a few forums and the posts in our PROD environment and noticed it to late. The backup is too old. I have restored the site and database on a TEST environment before the "accident" and cleaned everything up so only the missing forums and posts are left (and the users etc around it). Now I would like to move/copy these from TEST DB to PROD DB and hence I asked for support but it's not supported or recommended by Invision. So I reaching out here - anyone that have done this and can throw some light on it? Both TEST and PROD run the latest IPS (4.3.1)

Hi I'm using the ACP tool to convert my UTF8 database to utf8mb4 but I got the following error: #4C171/4 The database could not be converted. Contact your hosting provider or system administrator for assistance.<br><br>Invalid default value for 'response_type' I'm not sure what I need to change in the DB to fix? Any help much appreciated.
