Alpine Linux, date translation

It depends on what dates. Some dates are controlled by locale, so in that case no,  however many are not controlled by locale. See the following guide which shows information on this

Unfortunately, the dates I want to translate are controlled by locale. 😪

It's a pity, Alpine Linux is really a very, very good and extremely light distribution. I was hoping that an alternative solution existed (at the php level) but apparently not.

Yeah, unfortunately if you need to use a different locale than what is built into the distribution and it doesn't support that, you may need to look elsewhere.

I did find workarounds at the server level (https://github.com/gliderlabs/docker-alpine/issues/144) but note that any issues related to locales in such an environment would be outside of our control or ability to assist with.
