I am thinking or purchasing the Pages app but I want to make sure it is actually what I need. How easy would it be to create a portal (same as the original portal app) showing the latest news items from the forums I select to include images on the front page? (landing page) See below: Could I also have widgets still down the side etc? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have ideas on how to be able to use more of the club interior space - where the topics are listed? Is there a hack or anything that allows me to do some of the things that I can do with a regular page or like with using @opentype's page templates? I like the idea of the club, but the layout is mostly inflexible AND whatever I put in the sidebar from one club is int he sidebar for all clubs. How can I get more flexibility to really focus in on the club topic by adding multiple blocks? Need more opportunity to personalize the club. Thanks, Brad TheBullsPen.com

Is it possible to rename an application? I want the menu to display music instead of downloads. If i list the menu item as an external link the sub categories disappear if not hovered with the cursor. Please help!

I was wondering if there is a group of settings that prevent guests or certain groups from viewing profiles? We're attempting to create a very closed community without fear where people could be doxxed and when it comes to profiles hiding options seem lacking.

Hello, I would like to automatically let the user know, that he was added to a group. How can I do it? In another engine I used to create a global announcement which only the members of a defined group could see and it was possible to allow the user to close this announcement. So when I manually made a user a member of this group, he could read the announcement and close it to not see it anymore at all – that was perfect. I don't think it is possible to do so in 4.2.7, is it?

Hi all, I have a forum that has good ranking in Google. the board currently is at www.domain.com/forum but i want it to point to forum.domain.com wihout losing my ranking and position in search engines. also 'old' url's should point to the same url in the subdomain how do i do that the right way? I/m not that good at programming so if someone can point me to how i can fix this i would be really thankful

Hello, I've been cleaning up my usergroups and noticed that quite a few were wrong. My lowest group is "member" and certain users are also allowed in a hidden part of the forum, specfic to "Full member" the full member has access to everything a standard one does, so i dont see any need for them to be in both groups. Over the last year or so, my admins have promoted these members as so; Primary group - Member Secondary group - Full member And vice versa. We have badges for these groups so you can imagine it looked a bit messy, so my cleanup was to put "Full member" as primary for all applicable users. It does however seem that de selecting a …

Hi! My mobile site collapses the menu. I want these menu links to be visible to the user and not on a drop-down. Is there any way I can do this? What about having a custom block for a mobile home page with links? I let user select secondary user groups during sign up, but this stretches the sign up popup quite a bit. Is there a good/easy way to style that section, e.g. enable to have two rows or something like that? Likely only through editing the theme templates, I guess?

I've been looking in the them editor on how to change the colour for that top right text, so I can change the background to white, so I can put the forum logo back on ( looks awful on the blue background ). Allthough there are a lot of descriptions, and after actually looking at the manual and discovering the easy editor, I applied a gradient that keeps the forum logo on a white background, and the right top side on the dark blue side of the gradient. Still don't know how to change these white things on the top right though. But I have a workaround for now. Probably it is only accessible in that "designer mode"?

I'm testing upgrading from 3 to 4. Is there a way to keep both the usernames and display names in the upgrade? The username in my version 3 forum were based on a customer number which they use to login but I don't want to loose their real names on a port. I also don't want to display a users customer numbers to the rest of the users.

I must be missing something really obvious. In the past I've seen that it's possible to sell a good at a temporary sale price (for all customers rather than a specific usergroup). From memory, the user still sees the original price but also the new one in red to capture attention. Try as I might, I just can't find this option in Commerce, even though I'm sure I've done it before in an older version. What am I missing?
