DanielGingras Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 My company uses IP Commerce to sell products. The majority of our customers are located in the USA but we have a sizeable Canadian customer base as well. We'd like to be able to charge Canadians in CAD and everyone else in USD. Canadian customers have their products made in Canada, while products for everywhere else is produced in a US facility so our expenses are based on the location of the customer. I can add CAD as a currency but all I've been able to do is set the price. In theory I could just duplicate all of the packages to create Canadian ones and then restrict the shipping options to Canada only but that seems like a lot of unnecessary work. Further, we sell some non-physical items and I don't want American customers paying for them in CAD. Thanks in advance!
Joel R Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 I don't think you can do this automatically without private custom development. One thing you can maybe do is setup a custom field. They can be used for options like sizes (S, M, L, XL) or colors (red, blue, grey). You can potentially create one for country (USA or CAD) although this is user-selectable so you couldn't guarantee a USA buyer would choose the USA option. You would need to manually verify the order. That's the closest I can think of.
opentype Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 You could post it again in the Feedback Forum as feature request. But at this point, you basically have to run two separate stores to fully achieve what you want.
