How do I go about disabling GIF Uploads to my gallery from members on my forums? I'm guessing it'll have to be a file modification which is absolutely fine with me. I once saw this question asked somewhere on the forums but no one answered it and some were even asking "Why would you want to?" I can't find the topic anymore, so I have no idea if this was even answered. I'm only looking for an answer. Thanks in advance.

My friend has some paying members on his forum, who pay for extra's for a certain time. It was known to him this was not a default thing in Invision. He does not per sé needs to implement some payment gateway, but he needs to be able to set users who paid with a starting date and an end date. And if possible at the end date they automatically return to a certain other usergroup. Which mod/plugin can best be used for this?

Hi, Is there a way to set private messages so that they can only be sent to and from site moderators and administrators from members? I can see where to stop all messaging, and where to override message quotas but not the ability to restrict who a member can send to -- thanks

Hello. My friends forum has 8 admins. We can set the option for the admingroup "Can access site when it is offline?" to disabled. In this case, all 8 adminis, including the root admin, can not access the site anymore. We can only view the offline message. And visit the AdminCP. Is it possible somehow to have 2 admins (root admin and 1 other) to be able to access the forum when it's offline? Then another question. I converted the forums for a friend of mine, and put in my e-mail address when setting up the fresh forum before converting. Hello. I have looked into the options, but it seems it's not present or it's not clear to me. I would like to have it so, that if somebody reply's to my thread, I get an e-mail notification instantly. So not a daily or weekly notification but instant e-mail notification. Now maybe it's set up on Invision over here, that this choice is not available, but we do want to have it that way on the converted forum. Is this adjustable in the Admincp or am I just missing something somewhere? I know that users can indicate that they wish to follow individual nodes. You want to find out when a new article in the cars category is posted? No problem; click follow on that category. I've just produced a new site for someone and the granular approach of "the user indicates what they want to follow and how they wish to receive these notifications" isn't going down very well. What they want is for people simply to be able to receive new articles to their inboxes. (In fact, they were talking about typing in an email address to subscribe for new articles.) Hi, I have ignore turned off for our forum; however when going to account settings here it still shows as an option under "Other settings" and takes me to a page siteaddress/ignore where i can enter a members name before being told i can't put them on ignore. Is there a way to hide or remove this setting? Thanks

Who can see anonymously logged in users in the online users list? I know regular members can't see anonymously logged in users. On the other hand, as Root admin, I can see any of my users who are logged in anonymously. Who else can? For example, if I log in anonymously, can my moderators see me in the online users list? I can't find a setting or explanation for this anywhere in the ACP. (As for the settings I have enabled, all user groups except Guests can see my online user list, but only I see IP the addresses.)

Hi, I have this setting turned off for one of my forum areas so that members can communicate privately with staff - I've just tested this on a member account and could only see my own post in there and then as an administrator i could read the member post; however when I logged in on a moderator account the member posted didn't show. Any ideas of what would be stopping this? on the setting itself it says " Users can see topics posted by other users? Moderators can (where they have permission) see all topics. You can use this setting to create a forum where users can communicate privately with staff. Where can I change it so moderators have this permission? …

Hi, i installed a new forum and a website based on wordpress. Now i m trying to connect both. I want to use the forum as the OAuth Server and the Wordpress site as client. I used the offical guide and completed all of the nessesary task (i hope i did ;D). Well it seems that i missed something. When i want to login into the Wordpress site or test the OAuth connection following error shows up.

So woke up this morning and had an idea that was sooo good that I wondered why I didn't think of it sooner. Need help to implement it. So I understand using Pages/Database where I create it and then users can leave reviews or make comments... BUT here is what I want to do, not sure if possible either with Pages or if there is another add on that already does this? Hi folks, I'm setting up Commerce Donations after setting up Stripe and PayPal, haven't added Subscriptions yet and I'm wondering which Commerce App module permissions guests should have access to in order to be able to donate as a guest. The Help guidance page doesn't cover permissions. Some of the app permissions seem to add an empty drop down to the menu when enabled for guests to access, with an option called My Details, which probably isn't right for guests and bots to see. So hopefully I can explain this in a simple way, we have some pages that use php and the obvious HTML and javascript. The first page is a search page, searching the DB for the info, takes you to the results page, which allows the user to select an option, then takes the user to the final page displaying the information. -- simple. But now that we use IPBoard, for forums and membership, we want to transfer those webpages into the system using the same theme, should be almost as fast as pasting the functionality of the code. Our users upload a lot of images into our gallery. They do not change the title of the image and now we have these image titles that do not make any sense: I would like to have image title empty by default so that users have to enter the title. This has negative impact on search engines, as nobody search for those cryptic names.
