Hello! I am trying to decide what types of clubs i should let my users create. I'd let them use all of them, but i noticed one thing that i want to avoid. There is a club feed block. This shows content from the clubs. I only want this to show content from clubs that the user has joined. I can choose between: Public: Everyone can see the club and its posts, and can participate without joining. Open: Everyone can see the club and its posts, but only members can participate. Everyone can join Closed: Everyone can see the club and who's in it, but only members can see posts and participate. Users need to ask a leader to join. Private: Only …

I would like to create a Facebook login for my sites/forums. However, my Facebook account is on my full private name and my site on my alias. Most users only know my front name, not my last name and can't find me on Facebook and I would like to keep it that way. If I create an app on Facebook so users can login to my forums, it is possible for those users to easily find my real name? Or is this only used to create the app, visible for Facebook and myself but not for others?

Hi all! I run a community based around Artists and part of that community is a bewares section (artists not to do business with). The problem is that this section is not sending notifications when content is approved (There is a stringent check policy, sometimes it takes over a week for a Beware to get approved). However, it seems that notifications aren't being sent on content that is over that amount of time old, even if it does get approved. This is a pages database. Is there a setting somewhere I missed?

Is there any possibility of checking who is giving star ratings to content and / or how did they rate? We have a plague of 1-starring morons and I want to target them in order to put them into a group that can't rate content. I don't want to turn off the system but may be forced to. Reviews aren't an alternative here, stars were OK because they work for lazier users :). Any ideas?

Hey guys, is there any way to limit the amount of the shown blog entries in grid view? Right now our entries keep extending, but I would like to limit them to the 2 "big" entries and 6 smaller entries, which are older. The oldest entries would still be accessible when viewing the categories. Thanks in advance, Phil

When viewing the main forum you see this: How can I change those textballoons which show if there are unread threads with other icons/images? I've looked in the "Icons & Logo's" and in the "Manage resources" in the Theme settings, but could not find them. Theme is a copy of the original theme.

Hello, Trying to play with IPS as an OAuth Server, I have a few issues which I need help since I'm not sure I understand it correctly. I went through the guide and set the whole thing up and provide few endpoints of the REST API to access eg. Authorized User and Member Assume it is on localhost/forums as where I did a test install Via Postman, I was able to get a bearer token via Postman using the client id and secret key On the next step, I suppose using Postman as client to test out the authenticating, but I don't see anything to popup to view authorisations in the account settings? 1. So which url, I should call once I got the token…

I'm assuming this is pretty easy, but can't seem to find the template for the the Article category pages and the articles themselves. I'd like to get in and remove a few elements (see attached screenshots denoting the changes). I'm sure I can figure this out if I can just find the place to edit...but have been poking around and haven't found anything. I'm using the build-in Advertisement section for footer ads, because that's the easiest way to implement adsense code for the footer. Now on my previous forum I also had footer ads which showed up everywhere. This gave me however a violation warning from Google that it should not show on page with no content (like if nothing is found with unread content or other empty pages). It seems no Ad code is showing up there so that seems fine. The second violation was for the registration page. However, there the footer ad code is still showing. Is there some setting somewhere where people – and I'm talking about admin particularly – can automatically block messages from people who aren't on a friends list or a follow list or something? It's not that I don't love the members of our forum a lot – it simply that it gets a bit too much receiving emails from them all the time asking for advice which is available on the forum. If there is not an inbuilt setting then is there some third-party product which will do this? Thanks

I am concerned about the above. I sell monthly memberships using paypal that move people between a regular member group and a VIP member group. I also use paypal for mass payouts. Help me to understand, this won't work on Paypal anymore if I upgrade? PS: I tried to use Braintree and they rejected me. So that's not an option for me.

I suppose not unexpected. Spammers have found the "Guest Post Before Registering" tool useful to get a post to show up in the posts feed/widget/block (but not in the forum itself). I cannot see the topic/ post in question: You do not have permission to view this content. ERROR: 2F173/K Anyone know how I eradicate it? This Guest Post?
