So this is kind of something I found a strange ommission, IPS added read receipts (very nice!) but forces them to be on. This is pretty strange, it means that if admins turn their messages on, they have to answer immediately to every message they read or take slack even if they just want to investigate. It also means users who don’t feel like responding to something end up with the user knowing, which tends to create a degree of negativity as well. I think turning it off side-wide (or even better, allowing users to do so personally) should be a core feature, or at least a plugin.

I notice that on the new version 4.5, email notifications are truncated. I understand the excellent reason for this because rather than giving the full message on the email, it will bring people into the forum. However, for busy site team members, it causes unnecessary work to have to open every email and then to visit the forum thread to see what is being discussed. It would be very handy to be able to configure email notifications so that they are truncated for ordinary users and displayed in full for site team. How about it?

With the change to 4.5 it's a lot harder to edit a user's email preferences in the acp. When I get a bounced email, I edit their setting to not receive any email notifications. I used to be able to do several clicks at once then hit save. Now I need to scroll to the bottom of the page, select one item, edit it save, scroll down again. Sounds easy enough, unless you're doing hundreds of users. Any chance this can be improved?

Maybe to the init.php file, I'm not sure. Although it did not catch me out, one site I was looking at had by some chance switched back to php7.0 , this turned out to be due to replacing the 'use version x' in a .htaccess file being lost. Anyway, currently if you attempt to run (run not install) the suite on say php7.0.x or lower, you tend to end up with a blank page or if you are lucky an error such as... Hi, I had to edit our theme here to restore the "Edit" and "Report" links to their previous (< 4.5) locations. The "Report" link must be very visible to our users, and as for the "Edit" link, it gives us extra work. When seeing a post that requires editing, our moderators must scroll back to the top of that post, click on the "..." and then click on "Edit". So, there are two extra steps required, i.e. wasted time. Just my two cents. Cheers.

Is there a way with the 4.5 update to make longer quotes automatically expand, instead of hitting "expand?" This issue did not exist on 4.4, which is why I am vastly regretting my choice to update to 4.5!

Why show marketplace forum topics whose application I haven't downloaded or old topics for example in which I've never been included in news on the mobile app? Isn't it better to show marketplace topics only for downloaded apps, then topics I participated in, then those I read, or choose a better order than you could configure by settings in the admin panel for this

I would like for the embeds to contain a reference to the author name of the embedded content as before. In the previous version this would be contained within the title ("X replied to …") I understand you currently reference the author with the avatar, however this is not enough information in most cases to understand who the author is. I hope you can consider adding the author name to these embeds, as it's something I've received feedback on from members, and I think it can be placed together with the date of when it was posted. I have not found a possibility to exclude one database (I have two of them created in Pages) from sitemap. It seems like I can only include all records or exclude all records from all databases. Or I have overlooked a setting anywhere.

We are having problems to track UTM Codes( Specific Query Parameters ) on a forum. When we send a link to users for a specific forum with UTM codes, it works well if users are logged in. If the users are not logged in to the system, they are redirected to login page and our UTM codes and lost which is problem for us because we are not getting the correct number of users who have opened the forum link. We opened a ticket and got a response that it's a design pattern of this IPS community software. We request you to include this functionality in the future versions. Thanks

I would like to "clean" the list of my purchases here. The most apps there are outdated, belong to 3.x, are not active, not available, cannot be renewed and so on. I would like to be able to delete or at least hide them from my list. This way I can better overview the applications I really use and need to upgrade. And I would appreciate if I could sort the purchases by renew date or status.

The block Upcoming events should not be cached. Actually we have a case, where the block displays false times because the site has been visited by someone from overseas. You create an event on Sunday, 13:00, Timezone Europe/Berlin The block shows correct date and time Someone with different timezone visits the site The guest cache is generated for the block with new timezone The event is now shown in block as Sunday, 14:00. For everyone. Till the cache is re-generated by someone from Berlin. Currently the author badge on posts uses the language string "author". However, on the communities I manage in Norway, we would like this to get a different translation. But we obviously can't really change the author-string since the context of the author-string is so different in all the other areas the same string is used.

In version 4.4 you had a dedicated share link easily accessible on posts, which you've now moved within the ellipsis menu. When you clicked the share button in the previous version it would open the share dialog and the link text would already be selected so you could quickly copy it, this no longer happens. So two suggestions: When you click the share link in the ellipsis menu, please auto-select the link text Bonus: add a "copy to paste"-button next to the input field

Hello. I've been trying to find any sort of method to allow specific pricing based on region. $10 in the US is not equivalent to 10 rubles in Russia, and I wouldn't want to charge someone 762 rubles for the product. So my question, or idea, is to allow custom pricing based on the customer's region, so that the payment scale is equally appointed - e.g, In the US, I'd have a product for $10 USD monthly, in Russia, the product would be for $6 USD monthly. OFF TOPIC: Also, does anyone know a payment gateway (plugin) that supports Russian bank cards that are compatible with a US card/bank? Hello, The first let me say thanks for your really great product. I really like it. I'm your client, and soon I should prolongate subscription period. However, the compatibility plugins with new 4.5 IPBoard is bad for me. When I bought subscription I build solution on 4.4 version and of the payment plugin in your marketplace. Now, I have active subscription and I still cannot migrate on 4.5 for several monthes, because developers in your marketplace don't update their payment plugins for Nexus and 4.5. And of course I can't influence them in any way. Why 4.5 has not been made of some mechanism for backward compatibility for these plugins? For example, at least …

You know when you’ve had a few pints down the pub (less so in 2020), gone to the toilet and your aim is a little off. That’s how the notifications feel. They are a little off. When clicking one I have to scroll up a little to find the post which was reacted to. Can’t just be me that’s noticed this? They need to sober up a little.

I have struggled on some projects in the last days to integrate Google Maps. While the public key was accepted, the secret key was persistent denied. The error message in ACP said, there were an empty request from IPv6 like 2001:db8::1. I have figured out, the secret key should not only be restricted to IPv4 address but IPv6 as well. I would be helpful to add it to the integration guide and ACP error message.

Hello Community, I have configured the download limit for 24 hours. Every time the user exceeds this limit, they think that the next day they will be able to have their two downloads of the day again, when everyone in "Invision Community" knows that is not so. The user must wait exactly 24 hours to have the two downloads again.
