I would like to suggest you change your Soudncloud embedding back to the smaller player, the big one is ugly and is rarely wanted. When you go to embed, there's a player you can select next to the default player, which is better and more compact.

The RSS import to forum topic is an essential feature for me but is unfortunately not suitable due to the very limited configuration options. I suggest the following changes... Add ability to set number of items to import at a time Add ability to set time frequency of importing items Customize what is displayed in the topic from the feed Is this something to be implemented in the future? I think it would be an awesome feature if there could be a way to make a field unique that way that if it already exists in the database that it cannot be re-submitted. I don't know how many people would use such a filter but I know that I could think of at least two applications: Unique URLs (like to a directory like what I run) Unique members (That way only one submission can be done by the member in a database that only one active record can be allowed) Obviously I don't expect it to be perfect (domain.com versus domain.com/index.php) but it would help me immensely if I could force certain things to be unique within the database, similar to display name…

Sometimes when we enter the forum and we have something like 15 notifications or more, if we open one of them, the others will all be dismissed. We will have then to guess the other notifications that we have not opened it. I suggest that the notifications should only be dismissed after we open them one by one. I also suggest a button to dismiss all the notifications if we do not want to open them.

I know this has been hashed over before, folks looking for a wiki solution for their community. I have been researching and testing wiki's for a year now and we are coming down the home stretch on settling on one, either MediaWiki or DokuWiki. But before we pull the trigger on a big project like this, and so we do not have any regrets in the future, can the upper chain of command here at IP tell me if they have any plans whatsoever in the foreseeable future to add a dedicated Wiki Application to IP Board? Right now i see the current system as a weakness of ips! ip bans only work for registration or members with that ip etc. I do not think this is a hard fix to make. It seems pretty easy to be honest. But i would love to see ip bans affect guests. Reason being i really really really want to open up guest posting. Which is an area that anyone on ips should just refuse to use FOREVER in its current state. Why? because if you run a website and you can be active 8 hours a day. the other 16 hours the guests can do what they want and you as an admin cannot ban them from your site? does that not sound strange? admins need control over this kind of thing. Just a suggestion.... One of the things that I think would make Pages a much better tool is the ability to import an existing SQL database. I realize you would need to setup the fields first to properly import but it would save hours and hours of moving (copy and paste) lots of data. There are public tools that are excellent at turning long lists into SQL table rows - so the issue for me is getting those into a Pages db for display. If I missed some easier way to to this please tell me...

Hi, i would sugest to reintroduding some features in IPS4 like IPB3 in order, backup complete database (a function that checks whether shell_exec() and system() are available on the host to backup with mysqldump otherwise use the default engine like ipb3) and option for export single table and manage DB's (with checkbox) in SQL Toolbox (this app that have present in IPS4) you think is such a thing possible? below i has upload many screenshot the features of which I speak

Hi I think you guys should add the option to allow or disallow File Extensions in the Download Addon and forums attachments for the IPB 4. if there is one i have no idea where is it as i looked so i think there is not one so it would help if you would add the setting again like it was in back in the 3.4 Version of IPB

It should be possible to set usergroup rights on groups in commerce settings. Now all users will see the group even if the products in that group is not available for the user group.

Is it possible to add this feature? Adding file in a multiple categories is a very needed and useful (often we can have the situation when the file is suitable for the conditions of several categories) and tags are not an alternative for this.

I touched on this is another suggestion but it is lost in the discussion so adding here so can be properly vetted. Suggestion: In Question forums, when you reply, add two submit buttons, one to "answer" one to "reply without answering." So maybe the buttons are "Submit Answer" "Submit Reply". All it would do is simply create a reply without the votes. This is great for those posts like "Thanks" or any post that is not an answer, determined by the submitter. Even with rules and tight moderation, you can't stop people from posting thanks, posting that it is not the right answer, etc. This gives a much cleaner look, the votes are next to the answers only, and …

It's excellent that the option to override the database template was reintroduced for database categories in Pages. However, there are times where ordering also needs to be varied depending on categories, and instances where the name for a record might better be displayed as something else. I had downloaded my member list in .csv I then went to a Demo I created and imported those members. I like how it imported everything as I instructed it. However, the IP Address of each and every user was my own. I would suggest this to be fixed so that the member's original IP is used if it's possible.

Not sure if anyone else wants this or not, I'm just putting it out there. I've noticed on IPS4 that this feature existed when a user had been warned by a staff member. However I don't see an option to make this somewhat transparent to the community. Obviously I don't think people should be able to look at Moderator Notes, but certainly see how the "Laws" of the site were laid down, so that it's an open and somewhat transparent system. I've seen it done on some communities and I think it's a good idea. If this is already possible then forgive my ignorance, apparently I don't know where to enable it.

What is the point of voting up/down a question? I noticed it does not move up or down in the question list, like answers do, so I'm not sure what it does. Is it just a "Like" of sorts? (Then why have ratings/Likes too for the question?) Nothing in the docs/guides on this. And why can you only vote it down once it's had an upvote? With answers you can vote it down any time. Is that a bug? I guess I'll know once I know the point of voting up actual questions. Just haven't figured that out yet! Thanks! EDIT: Okay I see it is for the popular area. Hi all, I would like to suggest a feature that adds a global script to all themes. Right now I am using an advertising product called Skimlinks that requires a small script added to the header of my pages. In order to do this now, I have to edit all of my themes and add it to the global template. My suggestion is to create a new configuration that gives me the ability to add the script to all of my themes. Ideally the configuration would be a free form text box and would let me select the themes I want to assign it to. By doing this, it won't matter if I update a theme back to defaults, or require editing the templates. Thanks! Mike

This is a small point really but I find the VERY thin bars in the weekly ACP stats to be difficult to read. Compare with the fatter daily bars and things look much better. Might consider adjusting this a bit so that it looks nicer and is easier to read. Weekly, SO THIN! Daily, fatter.. looks GOOD!

Suggestion: If the author of a question posts in his/her own question, the VOTE icons do not appear next to their post. They will be posting either discussion, dismissal of answers, or thanks for answering, type posts. They will not be answering themselves, as, they asked the question. The vote icons look wrong next to their own replies since they asked the question, a simple coding of not showing if the replier is the author would be great. If they do happen to do research and answer their own question, then it really doesn't needs votes, as they figured it out. Under "IPS4 Resources" in the nav bar it used to have an option for "Custom Projects and Providers" and now it just says providers. Am I missing something? If I am not then where do I post a project for a plugin that I need? Thanks in advance.
