Recently, I discovered that the contact us feature shipped with IPB 4.0 is email-based which is a headache for me. I try to avoid email as much as possible due to the amount of spam my servers are hit with so my suggestion is instead of it being email based, there should be a section under moderatorCP that posts contact us tickets in a thread rather than email. This will also allow forum owners to assign groups to also be able to process contact us tickets.

It would be really useful if the system logs included the URL that triggered the error - when the logs were stored on the filesystem, that was the case, but now they aren't, which makes reproducing the issue much more difficult.

About a month ago my photos that are stored in amazon S3 storage became broken. I have just realised now how to fix it by changing the endpoint in the image storage settings. this now has corrected all the broken links and the images display correctly. However, before i realised how to fix this i reuploaded about 10 images that i downloaded from the S3 bucket. these images are now broken after i fixed the endpoint. The correct images are in the bucket on the S3 cloud, how can i link these to my forum posts? is there a way to go into the database and change the link so i can edit it to point to the correct image?

Could the Members section in the ACP be made a little more user friendly in terms of workflow to save time. We migrated from a 10 year phpBB install to IPS4.0 and we are now going through and cleaning the members list and the way the interface works is incredibly time consuming. For example: Search .pl in the email list, and it lists 34 .pl email accounts. I know 2 of these are legitimate, the other 32 I want to delete. If I use "Prune Members Found" it will delete all 34, including the two Members I do not want to delete. If I select to delete 1 member from the results it returns me to the main Member's list requiring me to search again and delete again the individual m…

I am sure many people use the different groups to give extra perks to premium or high post members - avatar size, title changes, pm quota, attachment space, etc. I think it would be nice if access to different emoticons is also per group setting, this way members maybe enticed to pay for premium membership so they have access to the nice emoticon packs.

Not sure if this is deliberate but the output of a yes/no field instead of being '0' or '1' is actually '0 ' and '1 '. If you output the processed value you get 'No ' or 'Yes '. I think it would be better without the extra space please.

Hello, Some users of my forum are requesting a feature to display the highest reputation posts on the forum, but this does not seem to be a feature currently in IP boards. I would love to be able to place a widget on a page to display highest rated posts, perhaps with a configurable duration so you can set it to show the highest rated post of each month, or year etc. If anyone else knows a way to create a custom widget block to do this, please let me know. Otherwise I would very much like for this to be a feature in IP boards.

Hi, I changed the urlFilters settings to make links "nofollow". However I was under the impression that it will only affect external links.... Now I see that I was wrong, and I added my own domain as an allowed domain ("Domains to instruct search engines to follow") - but it does not affect existing links that are still "nofollow", even after clearing the (IPS) cache. How can I force a "refresh" of all the existing links, on all the existing posts? Another issue is that it added all these parameters to the links: "external nofollow noopener noreferrer" Why noreferrer? It should only add "nofollow" as this is how this feature is described... The fact tha…

Is it possible to add the option to include members commerce address? We have over 4000 members and we send out a printed newsletter each month. I currently pull a download direct from SQL DB (and that's a pain with the new address format in the DB. This is a task I want a Non-Tech person to do each month. Thanks

Since a few versions ago someone seemed to have disabled that you can set the picture height (while still retaining the aspect ratio!) in the WYSWYG Picture editor, which looks pretty ugly when you have a bunch of different height pictures side by side :/ Example: https://www.vintagestory.at/media.html/ (scroll to bottom)

Hi again, I would really appreciate if you could implement an admin feature for disabling gallery pic upload without having choosen an album before. At the moment a lot of users in our community are confused about the different pics in the gallery. Maybe there could be a category individual setting like "album upload only". This would be great!

Dear IPS guys, i kindly suggest you improve the presentation of the reciprocal records on Pages databases. By they way you have them now, you present them as "text links" just piled up. Besides that, the system is not robust enough to handle hundreds of reciprocal records. So i suggest the following improvements: 1) Allow different presentation instead just of text links 2) Allow ordering by the fields of the related records (a presentation using the listing templates would be the most adequate) 3) Improve robustness of the solution regarding the volume, with pagination. Tbh, i don't know if anybody from IPS will care about this, but if they don't,…

Hey everyone. I'm not really one to start this kind of thing but it's kind of ridiculous to say the least, I may be wrong entirely but in over a decade of experience, this has definitely never been an experience of mine. ----------- I purchased a $9 SSL certificate to place on my host, as you do numerous times throughout your career as a web developer with no extra charge accrued what so ever. I requested a CSR (Certificate Signing Request) from IPS. The response: Hello. SSL is only available on the Ultra 100 package ($70 monthly) and higher, and also requires purchase of our SSL package, which includes the SSL certificate and the necessar…

Hi, could you please also implement a like button for albums? At the moment users can only like individual pics but not the album. I think this would be really helpful because also FB has this feature.

'mixcloud.com' => 'https://www.mixcloud.com/oembed/', 'deezer.com' => 'https://api.deezer.com/oembed', any chance of getting the above services added into the oembedServices() function in parser.php ?

Gyazo is a fairly popular image upload platform, so it would be really useful if it was added to the supported oembed sites. Docs for their oembed endpoint are at https://gyazo.com/api/docs/image#oembed

Previously, when I have submitted a ticket and it has been escalated to T2/3, they have added the fix to the next version, but they have also applied the fix to my site, which because I historically only submitted tickets for issues that were really impacting my site (rather than just some minor cosmetic issue). However, the last couple of important tickets (tickets that I would have submitted before buggate the destruction of the bug tracker) that I have submitted have simply been resolved with variations on "it will be fixed in 4.1.16" (or, in fact, we've made some tweaks that might fix it, which will be in 4.1.16). Those tickets are about issues that are affecting my s…

If a member is not logged in, as a guest, in my case, running the latest invision board, a message is displayed to create an account. However, i do not see this message here on this community. Is this a setting that i am missing somewhere or a css trick?

Hi all. We had a problem in our ips based forum where members who had uploaded photos taken with an iPhone/iPad would display incorrectly (upside down etc). This is a fault with the iPhone/iPad itself, due to it not including image orientation info in the photo. We have found a way to get your photos displaying properly in your forum! in order for your photos to display the correct way round in the forum, please use this simple guide when taking photos with iPhone/iPads. Using the normal camera function (ie: rear camera) make sure the bottom of the iPhone/buttons on the iPad are on the RIGHT side. If using the front camera (selfie photos), make sure the bottom of…

It could be either, just need more information on the Invoice. For me it says the type of shirt, but not the size. So i have to back and forth and it slows the shipping immensely then write out the address on a box or envelope. Ideally.... 1. The Shipping address takes up the top left quarter of an 8.5x11 sheet. Fold, slip into packing jacket.... super fast. 2. The details allow you to pick the orders really fast. Like Red Shirt, Size Large Not sure how hard this is to do, but if you are selling physical goods it would be am immense help.

It would be really helpful to see the list of current Pending shipments with user/customer names. People seem to order something, then order something else separately. I find myself ripping packages apart to consolidate the multiple orders. Merci
