Sometimes in a rush you could choose the wrong app / plugin to de-install. So it would be useful to show the app / plugin name in the confirmation popup.

I'd like to be able to differentiate where a post is submitted by checking the forum it was posted in. I feel like adding Forum ID to the Post object would be a good addition. May as well add Topic ID to it as well.

Prior to 4.3, the search bar defaulted to relatively intelligent defaults, it searched a post you were viewing, or articles if you were looking at the article database, but now it always defaults to EVERYTHING, so users have to click 2 extra times, each time they search, to narrow things down. Compounding this, the user's preferences can't be saved so that searching in the article areas always searches only for articles, etc. I understand the idea was that you would get more results by defaulting the search to everywhere, all the time, but now my users get loads of calendar events stacked on top of things if they don't customize their search each time they perform one,…

I read a lot of articles about Commerce but don't find any CLEAR words on C2C transations, I am suggest to add this type of market soon because a "Commerce" for definition it is supposed integrate at least the main types of business. I know any work made from third part developers but I waiting as many others clients from IPS 4.0 expetations it will come. Really interested about new IPB 3.3 archive system. But its locking those old topics and prevent any new replies right? Can't we have it like they have it in Webhostingtalk, digitalpoint etc.. like telling ppl this is a old/archived topic and reply if you really mean it. So if they still reply... Move it to active thread table or Just let it run on archive system and warn admin to move to active thread.. so we can mass move like every month. etc..

Can you please remove the sidebar and Layout restrictions that you enforce on us throughout the community software. I want the ability to place sidebars in the places where you purposely put restrictions on us (For whatever reason is beyond me?). Sure I can create a plugin to do this, but why should I or can you please explain the reason for limiting us in such a manner? Also, changing the layout to remove feature such as the navigation confuses my users and I get complaints that the site is broken because of this. Please, seriously think about removing these restrictions and allow us to decide where we should place Sidebars, this would make myself a happy …

Hi all, I'd like to make a few more suggestions for the tagging system: A list of tags which can be selected and automatically input into the tags field, similar to this enhanced tags system by newbieLAC. Require tags expanded setting. What I mean by this I suppose would be a semi-closed system. IE: Require one of the tags from this one group, otherwise open tagging. In the members profile header, there are many informations shown like joined date reputation count last visited days won But many other applications or plugins use the same display location for their informations, f.e. inactive members & real last activity points system ... Problem is, that if the informations take up too much space and exceed the line limit. Then the whole profile informations will be distorted and moved below the header (probably a line break) We require a better solution for this. Ok, perhaps a slight rant, but there is a point to it! I wonder about a more sophisticated review system for Marketplace purchases - and by this I mean the ability for periodic reivews to track how a developer supports their product over a longer time period than the initial purchase. Right now we obviously get one chance to review a product after download. In my own personal experience, there have been a couple of instances where developer support (at times prominent devs on this site for well-known products) has seriously dropped off. Dear developers, I know, that CSP is nothing the software hast to deal with, but a guidline which CSP we should use to make IPB secure would be great. I am currently struggling with it myslef and have some trouble to get the scripts in the admin center to work. For you, the developer of this software it would be easy to tell us a good policy. This would also solve some issues with privacy, since we could block unwanted content.

Due to the new privacy laws in Europe, I had to disable to possibility to embed links. I would like to see more options in the admin area, so I have a better control over the embed links. What I would like to have: When I deactivate embed links, Links to my forum are also not embed any more. It would be most useful if the "get support" button redirected to the support ticket page and not to a topic. for my use of the platform only I have paid file and free files to download. My users can not upload files, so this button as it is is useless. Or we could choose whether we can leave it redirecting to a topic or to ticket support area

Re AWS S3 and Cloudfront, please could you add the option to leave content on the local server, so that copies are transferred/created on S3? If you don't have versioning enabled on the S3 bucket and something goes wrong, you can lose so much content and it's rocket science to try to find out what failed and why from AWS logs. I had an issue where I kept finding assets/objects disappearing from AWS and I ended up losing 100's of Gallery Images although I have backup originals. just an idea maybe the ability to add more columns how you want it and maybe more of a homepage layout and design option specially for people that have no knowledge of html ect. I'm really rather surprised at how many things in IPS don't have cancel buttons (either an actual cancel button or an X in the top-right for pop-over items). Posting new topics does have a cancel button but many other things don't. For example, if you go to set up security features and select one and then decide you don't want to set it up right now, you have to hit the back button in your browser, there's no cancel. No cancel buttons in these other locations as well: Editing page content, Creating blog entries, Creating events, editing notification list settings, and several items in the ACP. With crypto-mining scripts, members grant CPU power in exchange for whatever (i.e. VIP memberships). Look here: https://coinhive.com/ This might be an idea for a great addon, a new IPS module or third party plugin. Members don't want to pay money for memberships directly, but they might be willing in to pay with CPU power while browsing our communities.

Hello, Community! Were you see the black arrow is the fact it hides extra features to edit the topic's or something else. Why is it we still have to scroll down more to see these. Someone not good with computers wont this and keep looking for while until they find it. As of right now I had to make a guide explaining the long manage menu, to see the extra options. It would be nice to move the manage options for just the topic to some were else instead of making it soooo long it can't be seen, and making the members look. thanks.

Would be nice to have the option on automatically adding either a sub-role(s) or a primary role based on which club the member joins. That way, an admin can assign members to clubs or approve members and they are given roles based on the club settings. Was looking for a plugin. Not really able to find anything that can do that. But since these are core features, figured I would suggest it here.
