Hi, Just a simple suggestion concerning the \IPS\Helpers\Form\Url form fields. When a value is set, that would be great to have a button to open the URL in a new page. Maybe something like that: Thanks!

Currently, if I have widgets in a sidebar in the Gallery (for example, "Image comments") I surprisingly get the same widget in all club galleries. The clubs owners don't want to see this widget in their club galleries, but it's impossible to remove it. Looks like a bug, but IPS support told me it works as intended. So it's very strange as for me. Guys, please, consider separating these two settings. Club owners should have as much control over their clubs as possible.

I've used IPB for over 10 years and ever since the beginning had a "classifieds" forum area, where people could post topics to sell things. Still, I use this in the same way but feel I'm not making the most of v4.3 and all it has to offer, what would be recommend to make this better? Is there new ways of displaying topics, or am I best creating a database? Is it all SEO and mobile friendly? Members don't like change, so I'm just looking at the best options with what the latest version of IPB has to offer! Thanks in advance. ?

I thought this would be possible, but I'm running into some errors. So I'm starting over and trying again.... maybe some of you guys can help. Basically, I want to run a test site with the new Forums and Pages - but I want to be testing it with a ton of content on my live site. ____ I went in and made a duplicate of my live IPB board database. Renamed it and such. Then I uploaded all the files for IPB4. Installed IPB 4 and used the new database information for the install. I was hoping to at least see all the registered members and posts, but I'm not seeing anything except a handful of errors. What do I need to to? (outside of upgrading my live site, which I don't wan…

Hi, please can you add an option to remove query strings from the URLs produced by IPS 4 and if necessary build them into the url instead? There are about 2 dozen that get created, from CSS and JS files. Some are possibly even unnecessary, like: ht*ps://example.com/bimchatbox/interface/buzz/buzz.min.js?v=e75f20f266 ht*ps://example.com/applications/core/interface/howler/howler.core.min.js?v=e75f20f266 Suggested solution from GTMetrix: Obviously it won't help with external urls like Amazon Affiliates links, but the bulk are generated by IPS. Perhaps one of the next small updates could focus in part on Pagespeed and performance recommendations and be…

If you run IPS as a support forum, there is a feature that I am missing: An indicator next to a topic title, showing that a staff member has posted in that topic. There is already an option to highlight posts of certain member groups visually in the theme options. That is great! However I'd still love to see the above in IPS. It should be a member group setting below the already existing one regarding highlighting posts. Clicking on said icon in the topic list should directly bring you to the staff answer. If there is more than one, it should be the first post (with an option to jump to the next staff answer within every staff post). Just an idea, but this would…

Two fields which could be improved, especially in regards to ordering. 1. Image uploads This is very basic. The most obvious flaw is that we cannot rearrange the images/uploads. If you need a new image at a specific slot, you basically have to delete all uploads and start over. Not very convenient yet. It is also not really made for many entries, but I have use cases where there might be 100 entries or more for a single field. And then it gets way too long – at the same time, the images are actually too small to clearly see what is on there for similar images (example: scanned book pages). I could imagine instead of the current view, I could open an…

Hi, This is regarding mobile devices. Not sure how to explain this but if you have a alot of menu items and some have sub menu items, when you select one of the sub menu items it would be handy for the menu to auto scroll back to the top - as currently you get a blank menu section or the last sub menu options in view until you manually scroll back to the top. For example if on a mobile device you go to: https://www.walkingfootball.com/ From the menu select Market place when it shows the sub menu for market place you have to maually scroll up to see all of the menu options Hope that makese sense

Wiki-style editing Would like to at least see edits go into moderation, and the admin be able to see the edit log of what that member did, and be able to approve or edit his/her edits before approval for grammar or just to keep some parts and not others. A difference report would be even better, with the edits highlighted. I know it is not a true wiki, but opening it up to live edits even with groups you trust is not good for databases, there needs to be quality control. (I believe you are not even notified?) Thanks!

Hello ! ? When clubs were created, they were invisible... Now we have a section at the bottom of our board which displays the clubs' topics (it's called Club Forums). But this is not a sufficient solution : it doesn't help making the board's members aware of the clubs' content. When members connect to the board, the first thing they do is looking at the New Topic widget content. They don't go at the bottom of the board to see if there is new content in the clubs forums. Neither do I. So, I think what should be done is allowing the clubs' topics to appear in the New Topics widget. What do you think of this ? Thank you. ?

Well, now we have Google Maps (which now charges after a certain point and you have to have your credit card on file) and MapBox with the same basic pay to play formula. Any chance of getting OpenLayers API in use with OpenStreetMap? Think the entire setup there is free. OpenLayers apparently can interface with Bing and most of the other major players also.

So this issue has been reported by several of our members. When members view gallery images on mobile devices, scrolling to view the image information and comments lags terribly. This happens on both our theme and the default theme, although we have no template modifications on ours. I've tested it on several image types and image sizes. It seems that any images that have comments on them will lag when scrolling and sometimes even freeze. The only time the lag occurs is on the lightbox. I viewed the same images and their comments without the lightbox and there was no issues with scrolling. Video below of trying to scroll through a lightbox using an iPhone. …

Hello When members choose to have a private blog and set the names of the members allowed to view it then even staff with unrestricted ACP access cant view it so theres no way for anyone to monitor or moderate it We can see the blog exist on the blog list on the ACP and manage it but not view it . I don't think it should be this way and I suggest to change it

It would be nice to be able to set a lifespan/longevity of the "Our Picks" activity page items. I think 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, etc. would be useful. It was pointed out to me by your support that the "Our Picks" are permanent and I was given a link to Invision Power Services own Our Picks page: https://invisioncommunity.com/ourpicks/ But do you think anyone dives 4 pages deep to see that content? If I go to the last page (4) I see content from May 2017 at the time I write this in July 2018 so I assume you are manually maintaining this page. It would be nice to be able to have items a year or more old auto-removed - but relevant item…

I was asked to put this request/suggestion here by the IPS support team The new "subscription manager" requires an option, to promote members to a "secondary member group" without changing their "primary member group". Edit: And I require to sell multiple, coexistant paid subscriptions (with secondary member group promotions). Why? I want to sell multiple paid memberships, that enhance each other, but don't have the same base functionality and permissions. I have a complex member group setup, so my members aren't in 1 or 2 member groups, they are in many different groups that add special functionality to them (f.e. project managers, premium members 1…

I'd like to see serious consideration of changing the way IPS apps are implemented/deployed in IPS 5. The PHP code should only be used for the UI and not for implementing the business logic for the app (including direct access to the database). IPS could re-implement the apps that it sells (including core, forums, blogs, commerce, etc.) in Go instead of PHP. The PHP code would still be used for output of the HTML, but would use a REST API to retrieve/update the database using a Go server that only serves a single app's backend services. The Go app could be distributed in a docker container where the Go app has been statically compiled and can be configured by th…

I know there is a plugin for this ( I purchased it), but I would like to see this feature a core component of the software. Past software I have used had this as a core feature. I know that with IPS there are thread prefixes and tags but it doesn't seem as in depth as other software. For example: I would like the ability to have specific thread prefixes for specific forums. I'd also like the ability to add more than 1 prefix to that thread. I have a forum where users can see only threads they make and utilize it as a support forum for one of my game servers. I can use multiple thread prefixes for sorting purposes.

In all previous versions of the Calendar with the RSVP to Calendar events, the event host and admin had the option to remove any person who was not welcome at that particular event. Sadly this option that has been available in all previous versions is no longer available in version 4. We recently had it happen on our site that one of the members who had RSVP’d to one of the Calendar Events was permanently banned due to their behaviour. While it is possible to delete all their content from the Admin CP there is no way for either Admin or the Event Host to remove this person from the RSVP list. If we have had this kind of thing happen it must be something th…
