Posted June 7, 20187 yr I have noticed that on the standard installation in 4.3.3. the Newsletter block is enabled by default and placed on the right of the activity streams: Makes it strange to have it enabled when most communities don't have a Newsletter. I would argue that the placement next to the activity streams is not ideal either ? Initially the block is not visible by site admin, so most of you are probably not aware it is there ?
June 7, 20187 yr It’s everywhere: staff page, AS, search results, online list, etc. Had to remove it from several pages. ? Edited June 7, 20187 yr by Adriano Faria
June 7, 20187 yr This block should not show up anywhere by default. I also had to remove these everywhere... and did probably miss one somewhere.
June 9, 20187 yr I was surprised to find this enabled, especially since I don't have a newsletter and didn't intend to give anyone the wrong impression.
July 28, 20186 yr Hi, Go to the page where you have the Newsletter Signup widget showing, open up the Block Manager (by using the arrow on the left side after you've logged in with an Admin account), then close off the Newsletter Signup block just like any other block.
