A club moderator on our community wants to create a tab populated with links to useful internet resources, without users needing to download a document or having a pinned/locked post on a forum with clickable links. The idea would be to have something similar to a 'files' tab: each entry ('upload') would have the live link without needing to go to a 'download' type page, but as with resources, each link could have a screen shot of the website and a brief description of the resource visible. Hello! I need exclude just one forum from stream, but I see that I can only include all but one, and that results in many lines of forum names in stream... Also it is very resource-hungry when I opt for each forum separately but not "All" option. In vBulletin there was such option and it is very useful. Hope for this in new version!

If you have a number of Redis enabled IPS installs on your VPS/Dedicated Server, I'm guessing that they all use the same Redis Database. I noticed in Wordpress W3 Total Cache that there is an option to specify which Redis Database ID to use, so that you can separate Redis Caching. Would this be useful to have in IPS4x? Final thought, if you have multiple IPS installs on the same server and they all use the same database, does impact the results displayed in the Redis Stats information in the Support Section?

What I mean is, I direct the forum to /forum, but keep the main URL for the domain as .com. Thereby keeping a homepage. Does IP.Board even have a homepage option, I want the forum to be supplemental to my website. If you look at my signature, and the main .com will go on the first link, where it says (make money forum) on the main navigation, and the forum will go where it says 'forums'. Any ideas?

The Calendar applications StreamItems extension takes Event ID's from the calendar_event_rsvp table and then immediately tries to load the event based on that ID. If an RSVP exists in that table for an event that no longer exists in the calendar_events table, it will throw an exception. Relevant lines of code in applications/calendar/extensions/StreamItems/StreamItems.php:50 (IPS 4.3) foreach ( \IPS\Db::i()->select( '*', 'calendar_event_rsvp', $where, 'rsvp_date DESC', 10 ) as $rsvp ) { $event = \IPS\calendar\Event::load( $rsvp[ 'rsvp_event_id' ] ); This should be trying to catch an OutOfRangeException.

Hello, I noticed that on 4.0.1, the window to split posts shows a "Clubs" option. Since we have Clubs disabled, this makes no sense. IMO, this window should check whether Clubs are enabled or disabled and show this option accordingly. See screenshot below. Cheers.

Having a forum with quit a few themes (about 7 atm), it would be nice if themes were in the same order in the theme select window at the pages footer as they were in the admin cp. This would allow the use of simple categories by name and order. (e.g. "Staff Only Themes ~ CSS Tests").

Hello. I'm really missing these in the current Downloads addon. 1.) A block for displaying the last xx newest files from downloads which can be used for page builder. 2.) An option so you can put different images for different download category's, like this: By the way... it would also be nice if there were a setting that the category page could be displayed by default. Now you can only to this via the menu manager.

Hi there! I'm setting up my community and I just saw that regarding paid clubs and downloads, when an user buys any of them, the total price arrives to admin's account and later creator of club or download must ask for a withdraw. I see two disadvantages with this system: 1. No automatic withdraws. You will have to be dealing with payments to creators. PayPal and Stripe offers an option to split the payment and send directly the fee for creator and fee for admin directly to each of their accounts. The amount of translation options here are really lacking. https://invisioncommunity.com/files/category/161-translations/ There is no French, Chinese or Hindi for example. These are major languages, and should really be offered. For example MyBB have a much more exhaustive list: https://community.mybb.com/mods.php?action=browse&category=19 I understand that it's a community driven thing, however I think IPS should try and create more of an incentive for people to create and support translations. Surely, this would open the product up to more markets...

from a performance view does it make sense to drop icomoon fonts ? from what gather they provide just a small amount of icons (maybe 3 or 4?) such as the newspaper one and the loading 'spinners' performance wise would it not make sense to use the font awesome library for these functions?

Once a week, a spammer comes on our forum and posts a dozen spam topics. When I go to delete their content, I am told it is a batched process that will be carried out gradually. If I select this option, the spam posts are sitting on my forum for who knows how long, and I have to go back later to make sure it was all deleted, and my users are complaining the whole time. So I always end up going through and deleting each post by hand.

Consider the following. We want to make a large database of files that would not be hosted on our server. In fact we don't want to upload anything larger than 100 MB. We wish to link to external storage were the file already exists (for instance Mediafire, they offer easy file rehosting service, so no necessity to download&upload files through on your own, plus files are directly accessible). So my question is: is it possible to disable 'upload a file' prompt and skip this step completely, then using a custom field with external url mirror replace the link with this field for "Download this file" button? Hello, I have seen the sharer for messages and it's great but it would be even better if you: Add option to share content in Whatsapp. It's the biggest app chat in the world and every website needs to can share content there A simple button to directly copy the URL of the message you want to share. If you check Xenforo you will see like they have that there. Is there an add-on that you can group topics together basically in a dropdown/arrow that can open specific topics? Basically I have about 10-15 topics that are all similar, but need to be separate topics. However, I don't want to pin them, nor do I really want them all cluttering up the main forum. They do need to be on the main forum though. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks

Hello everyone, I have seen that IPS brings a built-in TAX system, but I'm seeing that after complete a payment that has taxes, Stripe only receives the total amount paid, but not the base price + taxes, in detail. So it's impossible later to know what payments had taxes and how much were those taxes. I've found this setting in Stripe but not sure if changing this will solve this: http://prntscr.com/mthsui If not, is there a way to can start sending Stripe the taxes details with each payment? As I've seen in the P-2-P forums about the upgrade banner on the front end, despite it only showing for those with ACP access , some do not wish it to display. I can see this from IPS's side too in that not everyone lives in their ACP so when an upgrade is available, it is only right that reasonable steps are taken to ensure the client is aware of this. I am working on using Cloudflare Stream for user videos on my site. Cloudflare Stream uses tus to upload the large video files to Cloudflare. I searched the web for a tus client implemented in PHP so I could add support for uploading video files to Cloudflare to my ICS4 apps. I found ankitpokhrel/tus-php GitHub repos that implements both a PHP tus server and a PHP tus client. Researching this further led me to tus.io where you can find out everything about this protocol including an official implementation of a Javascript tus client at the tus/tus-js-client GitHub repo. I know this is not your plugin directly now having looked into it, but without the visitor giving (and there being a record of ) Implicit Consent then this is against the GDPR law here in Europe.
