More consistent update checking for apps (and plugins?)

I, for one, would deeply appreciate it if all third-party app updates were automatically detected and listed in the AdminCP.  As it stands, because some (e.g. @Adriano Faria's Quizzes) do not automatically detect, it's a bit of a pain to go to the Manage Purchases page and check each one manually to make absolutely sure you haven't missed any updates.

In an ideal world this should also apply to plugins, but I don't believe it does.

For now, at least for my files, follow the resources you purchased/downloaded and you will get notified by email when the resource is updated:

I think it would also be hugely helpful if the currently-installed version number were shown beside the title in the AdminCP view of plugins (instead of having to click and select Plugin Details).

Thanks again - although this seems like something that should be native and not a plugin....glad the option is there however.
