What is the correct way to transfer the downloads directory when upgrading from v3 to v4? I renamed my old 3.4 IPB folder to /content2/, and then uploaded the v4 files to /content/ (the old location of the software). Then I upgraded the database from 3.4 to 4. Then I copied the downloads folder recursively from /content2/downloads/ to /content/downloads/. Then I chowned the files and folders in /content/downloads/ to the account owner. Is there anything else I am supposed to do? When I click on the download links I get file not found errors. Do I have to wait for the file downloads to be rebuilt by the cron, or did I do something wrong here?

I just spent a couple of hours inputting close to 4 pages of Acronyms we use for songs and other things. What used to happen when we used the bad word filter to do this was that if you typed the acronym the long version with the words would appear. For example, if you typed ICNAFM it would appear in the post as "I Could Not Ask For More". Does the acronym filter do that or am I missing a step I need to take? They are all there yet nothing happens when you type it in. Thanks for any help!

I am using admin approval of registrations after email address was verified. I thought that I would receive two emails per new registration in IPB4. One would be when the new member registers and the second when the email address is verified. However I am only receiving one email as I did in IPB3.x. Am I correct that I should receive two email now with 4.x? If so, where do I set this up?

Hello, I have a problem to translate the key of the Pages App, "cms_create_menu_records_x" ==> %s in %s In the "+ Create" menu, that corresponds to the article creation. I have + Create "Article in Articles"... sounds weird, and I can't translate it. Any help is welcome

Since upgrading to IPS4, everytime I try to share to facebook either via the forum or pasting the link directly into FB, the thread isn't linked or shown in the thumbnail. IT keeps defaulting the share to the forum home page with a description of the forum??

Hey, i added yesterday IP.Commerce, or better known as IP.Nexus to my forum, however im stucked in configuring it. The checkout require billing information, but im actually offering only non physical products. I also searched on various topics here, but they are mostly related to IPS <3.4. I have no physical product, no custom fields and no taxes. How can i disable the input of the billing address? Regards

Is there a template someplace to edit what content is shown in a new forum topic for a new database record entry (for posting a new topic and using the forum for comments)? Currently when a new record is created in a db only the values of all fields are displayed with no line-breaks, only spaces, between each field.

In 3.X I was able to have a link in the footer with Community Guidelines. I was able to turn them on in the 4.0 admin, but cannot seem to find where the user would find them or where I could link to. What am I missing? Best, Ryan

I've attempted to upgrade from a (working) copy of our board on a subdomain using the instructions but it keeps failing - From the URI /admin/upgrade I get the following Fatal error: Class 'IPS\Dispatcher\Setup' not found in /homepages/41/d572092642/htdocs/nbntest/admin/upgrade/index.php on line 24 I get the same issue at /index.php too.

Currently getting 500 server errors keep popping up, not internal server errors but the ones where you get a bunch of code under it (support ticket open), in the code below it mentioned core_sessions, I took a look in the database and I have over 34,000 pages of session data, I'm guessing this is pretty big? the table size is bigger than the forum post table of almost 1 million posts. I've changed the php.ini settings to the defaults in this knowledge base article now..... Question is, will my table automatically clear the data now or do I need to go in and empty it manually? Side question whilst I wait for a support response to the ticket, could this be linked to …

Hi, I tried to use Recaptcha 1 and 2 without success. I have entered the correct site key and private key. If I solve the captcha at the registration process, recaptcha say that the captcha is correct. But when I hit the Register button, IPS say that the captcha is incorrect. This occurs with recaptcha 1 and recaptcha 2. Any advice?

I am trying to install IPS Community Suite v4.0.9.1, but am receiving "An error occurred (500 Error)" (more details below). I am running a test site for now and when I try to share a post or topic to Facebook, it puts this kind of link http://www.petsr4life.com/test/index.php?%2Ftopic%2F3-new-and-different-features%2F instead of http://www.petsr4life.com/test/index.php?/topic/3-new-and-different-features/&do=findComment&comment=26 and it returns a Page Not Found. Hi If anyone is not signed in and they visit my form they see this The community administrator requires all members to sign in Did a search and could not find what looking for so here goes. (I suspect its basic stuff) When my forum us visited http://learningtotrade.invisionzone.com/ I would like anyone (without having to sign in) to be able to see the forums and ONLY if they THEN try to access them they get the permission denied message on the page above Hope that makes sense Many Thanks
