I'm trying to get used to typing without BBCode. Bold, Italic, and Underline are easy enough. However... How do I link text without resorting to the mouse? CKEditor says there's a CTRL+L shortcut to bring up the link dialog, but in Chrome that just send you to the address bar. There's an option to navigate the buttons with ALT+F10, arrows key, enter option, but that's quite a few keypresses and assumes the link button is up there. Also, quotes. Any keyboard only option?

I am trying to find where I can grant access to guests to access a blog. Yes I can grant them access to ALL blogs, but all I want to expose is one. Like I can with pages, databases, forums, galleries, calendars and files.

Hey people, I wanted to ask if anyone knows a way to load exact columns of a row from a table in the database (the table that is not related to Pages app). I've created a new table and I named it "server_players". This table stores the member ID from the forum (I used PHP to load core_members table and get this data if user logins in-game), so basically the table stores user IDs that match member IDs from core_members table. What I am trying to achieve is something like - if the user ID from server_players matches the member_id from core_members table, then load other columns from that table row where user ID = member ID. After everything finished rebuilding, the code tags and the content inside are not like they used to be prior to updating. There is no space, no new lines, no syntax and it defeats the purpose of code tags. Why did this happen?

Hey guys, so I'm having issues with members creating alt accounts just to screw with rep points. However my main issue is that when a member is banned or deleted the points that account handed out stays. I need to be able to wipe all points given by an account when that account is banned or deleted. I thought about maybe using Rules to do it, so if banned = wipe reputation points, but there isn't any actions for that. Any ideas? Surely I would have thought this would have been part of the base IPB system that when a member gets deleted all it's content and actions get wiped...

Hello ! As you can see on the screenshot below, the editor buttons don't show up anymore. I can still use them, but the icons are not visible. This affects some of my users, but not everyone of them. I cleared the forum cache, and my browser's too, but it didn't solved anything. Do you guys have any ideas about how to solve this ? Thank you !

I feel a bit like Alice in Wonderland but I'm sure I'll get used to IPB4 in no time! Anyway, is there a way to export topics to the main portal pages (Pages) in a way of a topic feed (but showing only first/main post? Currently, with the default blocks, I can import either topic feeds (listed, showing titles, which I'm not interested in) and posts feed (showing actual content). Problem with the post feed is it just keeps showing replies etc.. What I would like to have is a topic feed (showing initial post) on the main portal page and than people should click on a link to go to a thread and reply there.. I have this strange issue with my 4.1.7 board. In the menu, if I click "Forums" it redirects to my Page i.e. Articles. This only happens with forums (clicking on other apps such as blogs, gallery etc. works fine). The Default URL to my forums is www.mydomain.org/boards/ and this URL when clicked redirect to my Articles page. I have temporarily remedied this issue by entering custom (external) URL to "Forums" as "www.mydomain.org/boards/index.php" and it works as such. I'm just wondering why is it happening? I made sure Forums app is set as default in Admin CP and all the permissions are ok. I really don't know why clicking on it (with its default www.mydomain.or…

We're running 4.1.7, and for some reason when we post images from imgur (Just using the direct link URL) they don't appear on our forum, we just get a broken image thumbnail. It seems to just be imgur, for example if someone posts a direct link to a Facebook photo that shows up no problem. Something I can do to fix this issue? I looked at the source code of the post, I dunno, it looks okay to me.

After upgrading to the 4.x series our moderators can't view reported content. They can view the ModCP and view warnings, but not reports. I have looked all over the ACP but must be missing some option to give the member group access to viewing reports. Does anyone happen to know where it is? Many thanks!

Hi, I looked around my PCAdmin and didn't find one option... When someone quotes someone quoted, the first quote is not quoted in the third post... Do you undestand what I mean ? Only the last post is quoted, not the previous Is there a setting for that ? Or do we have to deal with only one post quote ?

Hello, I a have a problem on my curent site with sidebar. I can not place any hooks and the right site of forum because there is no box for this. Is it possible somehow to add this feature? To avoid unnecessary question. Yes, it does not work on default theme as well.
