I want to give a service to my community and that services relies heavily on working with the topics/posts. Menaing Need to manipulate data and export them in EXCEL and/or PDF e.t.c with custom formatting e.t.c Need to provide reporting on the topics and posts based on custom logic. I am thinking of using Wordpress or a Laravel app in parallel to my IPB instance using maybe the API... Question to you guys: Is there any way i can do that with ease WITHIN IPB framework?

So, I have a gaming community where I have a store with items related to that- buying in-game perks, etc. But I'm also working on a plugin, and I'd like to sell it on my site too, and I'm going to set up support tickets, etc there too. Is there any way I can host 2 versions of commerce? One with my gaming server's things, and the second with my plugin store.

I'm trying to do code updates on a local test site. I've done this before with 3.4. However, when I exported by DB and copied all my files from my production 4.x env, I'm getting EX0 Something went wrong. Please try again. errors in many different places. It's not a permissions issues. Has anyone been successful at setting up a development env? I hate to use my production site for development purposes.

I got a problem in my site where a link "disappears" after a bit of tracking i got a 500 https in the validateLink request. i guess this is related to embeding. Hi all, I'm in the process of testing an upgrade from 3.4.6 to 4.1.9. My board contains ~2M posts. I've set up a copy of the board locally (on my laptop) to run the test, and will also use it to run the final upgrade (take board offline > export > import locally > upgrade locally > export locally > upload to server > import > put board back online). As many others have posted before, the lengthiest part of the upgrade for me is the background processes that rebuild different types of data. I have the reputation system enabled and it's positive and negative. After I give someone an upvote or downvote, the option to do the opposite is still there and I don't want that. How do I hide it so after I give rep, I can't change it back?

I've recently begun a migration of the main site off of our current server, so it is now going to be in a forum. subdomain. When I moved the site out of the directory it was in (/forum) and then changed the cons_global.php to have the base_url to forum.eltrin.com. I then moved it to the root directory of the server. It's fully functional, but none of the UI pictures appear. See for yourself. Have I missed a step?

Hi, We are upgrading the forum from version 3.4.8 to version 4.1.9. However we are facing issues while we are trying to upgrade. We are continuously facing the error that "there are 2 tables with incorrect collation". When we are clicking on "fix the issue", it prompts a message that says, "collations fixed where applicable" and also shows a message in red that still mentions that "there are 2 tables that have incorrect collation" (Please see the attched image for better understanding) Please help us out as we need to get this fixed. I am experiencing erratic behavior in search functionality. Examples of strange behavior: Try searching for "about". it does not return anything although there are tiitles with this word in the text. The same happens if you search for the test topic "Welcome". Try searching for "health". It exists in titles and it RETURNS result. I cannot understand why this is happening. What is the difference between the 2 terms. The upper behavior occurs in every user and also i have rebuilded the search index and tried the support option to clear caches e.t.c

Hi all! I am finally taking the plunge into IPS 4 for my site. So far I am impressed with the documentation and its layout, but I have an important question. I was on this guide and it had very helpful shortcuts on how to get variables from specific items. It says at the end: I entirely expect this to be a thing where I am total freaking idiot at things and can't see the obvious place, but where could I find full information on this framework for the IPS4 methods and classes? It may be me being an idiot and inexperienced, but I am not entirely sure what I can fully call in, say, a template or otherwise.

Hello, Since upgrading to v4.1.4 people cannot post image links from image hosting sites - i.e. the [ img ] tags. They seem to change into {option} . I see something in the notes about bbcode tags - but they used to work in v4 before the latest update. I presume I now need to set something up to make the tags work, but I'm not sure what it is.

I have to 4.1.9 and added the new theme settings for the Activity Stream filter. But when changing settings example show oldest first. it does not auto refresh like on this site. I have to manually refresh. I have also tried using the default theme with the same issue. Anyone else with the same issue?

Hello, after I have updated to v4.1.9, users have reported a huge bug/problem: when you write the number "0" inside a table, after you save the post the "0" number disappear from the table. You can see an example here: http://totallympics....6/#comment-5066 in the table "Group A Standing" and "Group B Standing". All "0" disappeared from the table, except for those "0" withouth any format. How can I solve this problem ? Thank you in advance.

Hi Since my IPB 4 upgrade I got several hundred 404 pages, regarding Google Webmaster Tools. Hello. I'm using Pages, but instead of the "Record Image" field, I use an external image for each article. The problem comes when I share the link on facebook, the image doesn't appear. Is there any way to make this work? My external images are from imgur.com Appreciate any help.

Hello, I have been experiencing an issue for some time now where only my Admin account cannot create new calendar events. When trying to create a new event I get the "Sorry, there is a problem. Something went wrong. Please try again. Error code: EX0." I have tested with numerous other accounts (logging in as another user through ACP) and creating events works just fine for all of them.
