Since upgrading to v4.1.4 people cannot post image links from image hosting sites - i.e. the [ img ] tags. They seem to change into {option} .

I see something in the notes about bbcode tags - but they used to work in v4 before the latest update. I presume I now need to set something up to make the tags work, but I'm not sure what it is.

You're on 4.1.4? You should probably upgrade to 4.1.9 (the newest version). If that was a typo then the
:

[img=IMAGEURL]

Has been the truly standard way for IPB to have image tags since 3.4.x it just happened to be compatible with the open and close tags still.

Ahh yes i meant 4.1.9, sorry.

So is the [ img ] that the hosts give for copy and paste now just not going to work and nothing I can do about it?

Support have confirmed this will be fixed in 4.1.10
