Hi! an user as reported me some issue with icons (font awesome) and IE 11 in my community. Problem exist on first access, seems to be ok after click on article, forum, or any other link. I've test with IE on windows 10 and windows phomne 8 (iemobile), and i can confirm. Try to set default theme, disable plugin, disable ads (disable all together), set english from default (i've think: maybe an error in some strings...)! but, nothing! issue persist. Alright so I was in a bit of a rush this morning to get some things done. I installed the most up-to-date version of @ehren. Brave Theme. When I uploaded the new version I was presented with a screen that looked like it was comparing old styling code and NEW styling code. Some stuff was highlighted in RED while other were in GREEN. Without thinking I selected the option to use the new version. This obviously was a mistake. Due mainly to rushing and not considering the impact. Thankfully I have his Dimension Theme which still works well but isn't updated. I'm a little gun shy now though to upgrade it as the Brave theme got completely messed up to the point where if…

Hey everyone, I downloaded and installed the latest version of the IPS Community Suite on a blank server/domain/database with no previous version of IPB installed. When trying to edit the categories and forums though, the description field is non-editable and there is no dropdown box for selecting a forum parent. I browsed through these forums and found someone else with the same problem, so I tried the following to resolve the issue so far: Running the support tool in ACP. In v3 when searching for a member you could type their username or email addy in the search field and it would bring their details up, nice and easy to use and fast for multiple sewarching. But in v4.1.12 of the Members tab of ACP, the only searchable field for members is the username, so to search for email address involves having to click the gear icon and then using the email addy field within that. Is it possible to change the default members field search from 'username' to 'username and email address' like before?

So I added Authorize.Net to my clients website as well as PayPal "Card" and anytime I try to process a payment I get this There was an error processing the payment. Please try a different payment method or contact us for assistance. Any ideas? (Note: I removed my card details before takin the screenshot for obvious reasons, the info was there when I tried to proccess the payment.)

Firstly, I apologise if I have misunderstood or I have looked in the wrong place for this. When a user disables an application and still wishes to proceed with changing setting or adding new content etc, there is no way to access the application without re-enabling it. Why is the end user restricted in this manner or, as I have already said, maybe I am missing something here? A prime example. If I wish to install another menu system, I would like to have the ability to 'set' it up first before switching over, or I risk my members having no menu system while I 'tinker' about with the new one.

I am currently running IPS 4.1.11.1 and before I upgrade to IPS 4.1.12, I had a queastion that has been bugging me... Once I finish the upgrade routine via the AdminCP, what happens with the template/CSS files that I have customized? My guess is that since they are customized, they will be left untouched, which means that they would technically NOT be upgraded. Do I need to go through ALL the template/CSS files and manually REVERT them back to their original states, BEFORE I start the upgrade routine and then once upgraded, go back and re-enter all the customizations? Is this the right way of upgrading?

Im noticing many Members are not reading Messages/Conversations and I know they have been on board. I've also noticed there is no "Indication" at the Envelope/Message icon when there are new Messages or Unread Messages which is why they aren't checking Messages and reading Messages. Is there some function I can enable so a red number or anything indicates to Members they have Message(s) at the Envelope Icon? Also, I know there are Notification selections for Messages and would appreciate any ideas on whats the best Notifications Admins and Members can enable so Messages aren't missed. Thank You.

The mobile theme for v4 is brilliant, since upgrading last week my users have found browsing on the mobile devices much easier now. One question posed and one that I have found to be valid is that on the mobile theme when looking at the forum/topic lists the last poster name does not show. Now that is fine if the last poster is a regular user with a unique profile pic, but many of our users are guests with a default profile image, so other than clicking the post we don't know who made the last post. So my question is, can this addition be added at all? I appreciate the space is limited on that right hand side of the mobile view, but what about adding a text…

I can't seem to be able to upgrade as it keeps giving me this error. In the beginning it was upgrading fine but then it gave me an error and it wouldn't let me do anything from there. So I try going back to the beginning but now that error pops up. Admin CP panel looks all messed up now, like lacks css and I can't go back to 4.1.11 as it gives me an error.

I would like to edit the external link that people put in posts by adding a utm_source to the code but cannot find it in the templates. Basically I want to add the utm_source to all links that are external so other sites know where it was referred from. Does anyone know where in the templates i can edit this please?

In my community users can post downloads which only useful for very specific software versions. Once this software is updated the download often becomes useless, only in rare occasions the download can be updated to work for the newest version. The problem I am facing now is that there are loads of outdated downloads in the downloads section, resulting in a mess of working or outdated downloads. This causes unnecessary confusion. I've thought about deleting the outdated resources manually, but this would result in the submitter losing all 'reputation' he or she gained from posting the download. Hi all, So randomly the IPB site we host decided to go blank. Everything is returning a 500 error. I have checked server logs and php logs and nothing is giving any indication of what is going on. Am I correct that if you disapprove a member or "Ban" a new registration they receive an e-mail notifying them ? Is there an option somewhere to turn that off ? Often I will see past banned users attempt to get in but I don't want them to receive the notification when I don't approve their new account.

Hi guys, I am currently planning on evolving my german only community (suite) to a multi-language plattform. Wile "static" elements of the webites are well handled by IPS Translation Tool, I am currently struggeling in finding the best way of how to publish 1 news (article/entry in Pages database) in both, german and english as well as some other in near future?! How can i set custom FURL for each language? And all the other pages related content. Each Database has more likely the same issue.. Are there example websites using IPS for true support of multiple languages?! Any further advice of what to take care of?
