Has anybody had any RECENT luck trying to get the google maps api key to work? I had it working before but now.. i keep getting this error when i copy the key in That API key is not valid or does not have the Google Maps JavaScript API and/or Google Static Maps API enabled. Make sure you have followed all of the steps in the setup instructions. You may have to wait a few minutes after enabling the API for it to take effect.

I stumbled upon a rock when installing my message board. My license key is on another message board I use to host but got purged. I sent IPS Tech support an email, are they usually pretty nice when it comes to transferring the URL license? The domain is completely different. Edit: I got the key authorization fixed through support, however, I have ran into another problem. My board is installed under "public_html", but is only accessible through "http://mydomain.net/index.php", whereas I'd like it to be accessible through "http://mydomain.net". Hey all, I have used IPB quite a bit in the past and the installation was very smooth. However, I decided to reactivate my account and noticed that my message board installation isn't functioning. I uploaded and extracted the files under "public_ftp", and the main contents are there. I have "admin" > "install". You think my installation page would lead to "http://mydomain.net/admin/install/", but it's not going through *yes, I know to change "mydomain" to my actual website). I have a gallery feed block I really want to go vertical in a two column layout on a page. Is there anyway to tell it to do that? 2 col + sidebar page. When it's 3 col, it goes vertical.

I'm not sure if something is wrong on my board, but when a user sends me a message, I get a notification AND a new message alert. So basically I get alerted twice for the same action. Is this intended? I have switched off the notification for "When I receive a message" to see if this helps. ------------------------- This seems to have solved it, I don't think this really makes sense to have two notifications if you have the notifications enabled when "I receive a message" If I turned this off, I would expect NO notification whatsoever...

Hi, in our point of view the standard settings of embedded gallery content is not perfect. The pics are being shown in 40x40. Hi, O version 3 I had PHP code which was generating links globaly on every page on forum, the code is: <php> include_once("statlinkxxxxxxxxxxxx.php"); $toShow = statlink_show_links("", " | ", "", ""); </php> {$toShow} Now after upgrade to 4.1 I can't display those links at all, I was trying difrrent methos and none was correct. Is there any chance to run this php globaly in sidebar or footer or I just have to downgrade forum version? Thank You

I'm interested in using Mailchimp to send a newsletter to my community. However, I'd like to keep the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email tied to IP.Board rather than using Mailchimp's own unsubscribe function. Is there any standard way to create this link using fields in the DB, or must it be generated by IP.Board's own bulk mail function?

Hello, I have recently switched domains and now any images will not show up on my IPB installation. To achieve this I moved the directory with IPB in it to the webroot of the new domain it is under. I changed the conf_global to align with the new domain and I am using the exact same database using the same credentials. Could there possibly be a htaccess file or something of the sort that is missing that would cause this or is it something else entirely. I would highly prefer not to have to reinstall my board as I have done a lot of work on it to get it ready. Hello, I have a problem with the RSS feeds being posted via dlvr.it I emailed them sending them this email: ========================== I have been using this site for over a month after I left twitterfeed. I grab rss feeds from my forum but i'm having a problem. When a new post is made on my site, twitterfeed would post it, when people replied, twitterfeed wouldn't post new updates to the posts to twitter which was fantastic. But with dlvr.it the new post is grabbed by yourselves from my rss feed and posted to twitter. Hey guys, I just updated my forums to 4.1.16.1, but the 'Forums' and 'Gallery' applications did not update for some reason. I used the automated update tool in IPS as I'm using IPS's cloud based forum. I can't seem to find the application files that I need to upload manually so I can update those applications. Thanks!

For the past few days, based on comments in another topic, I've been using CleanTalk.org to help filter spam. Overall, it's been pretty great, and I strongly recommend it. The Pros: It's greatly reduced the amount of time my moderators need to spend working and moderating posts, users, etc. by flagging them as spammers, issuing warnings, etc. It stops posts as well as registrations. It has a relatively simple interface that lets you mark things as NOT spam. I haven't seen any false positives yet. Those, as you can imagine, are MUCH worse than false negatives as real users can get upset. You can block entire countries from posting a…

Hello all, I'm hoping someone can help. I clicked to update to latest version today and everything seemed to go smoothly within admincp. It said the update was complete. All seemed well. However, I now can't access my site! I get the following error message - Site error: the file /home/togsinbusiness/public_html/community/init.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader to be installed by the website operator. If you are the website operator please use the ionCube Loader Wizard to assist with installation. Can anyone shed any light? Do I need to manually replace the init.php file? Hello, As the title say: how can I disable the rep system in off-topic and others areas ? The rep system is useless if users can "exploit" it by earning points in areas of no importance (like off-topic). Users in my forum get a lot o rep by posting funny stuff and users that participate in serious discussions, sometimes, get less reps. Thank you.
